Kei suddenly dashed backwards giving off more distance between the two. He shook his head, accompanied by a saddened look. He sheathed his sword and gave her an anxious look. He doesn't actually understand what he was doing. Or is it just he did not want to understand?
He shook his head, once more. Fighting was never his expertise. It's even amazing how he graduated the Academy. He didn't want fights. he didn't want being hurt. He didn't...
He was scared. That moment he said he was never good with ladies; he was lying. His heart was lying. Battle scared him. It scared him that he even refuses to pick his weapon.
Now, he feels exactly the same. It was just a spar, nothing more. But what was wrong? She was not going to kill him or something. He was just...
He was not ready.
And that was something he needed to prepare before going the real path. Like she did. She was proud and ready. She has the guts to fight. She was not scared. She is brave and strong enough to fight and protect. He wants to protect too, but...
"I... I refuse..." He uttered.
((Wow, sorry for that crappy post... Meh, I just want to show what he actually thinks when bearing a sword. And look, he panicked! Ahahahaha!))

Elyse would notice the notable strength in his attack and then take note again in his responses, they all read an uneasy and out of place feeling in them. he wasn't whole heartily into fighting, and despite elyse's usual style, she'd taken to thinking more on fighting a little less from her current status with Ami. So she 'd sheath her sword rather than keep cutting away as peer her everyday. Se'd take a seat on the floor with her legs crossed and pat on the floor to call Kei over. "Common, I'm not going to bite you, unless you want me too...no really I'm friendly. so come over here, we'll...talk for a bit and find out about each other before we get to the next step. First I wanna know why are you in the training grounds if your soooo~...hmmm, shaky." Elyse would pose this question to him as she would ponder if her conversation skills were any good at getting him to calm down. Though she felt that she may be still coming on to strong for him. well at least from what she saw of his previous reaction to her attitude. Scratching her head Elyse would put down her hat on her lap and let her hair that was now dyed blond flow openly in clear view. the contrast from her eyes would make her eyes seem as if they'd begun to glow.

Kei looked with great surprise when she literally sheathed her sword and then sat down. She looked at him in a very confused face. Then, she asked him to go near, which he did albeit reluctant. He sat down next to her and focused his gaze around somewhere; he was unable to even meet her eye. How shame he felt that moment. But...
"...First I wanna know why are you in the training grounds if your soooo~...hmmm, shaky." She asked in a very straight tone.
Kei's eyes widened and his jaw fell open. Words flew that very moment but he caught them just in time for him to say something back. But he did an out of thoughts to say what really was inside him. Something he felt in the deepest depths of his heart. Something...
He shook his head and looked at the sky. "I don't know... I really don't know..." He said. "My ambition tells me to protect and fight for Sereitei, even for my friends. But I don't know why I can't... Something stops me... And I don't know if I can ever overcome it..." He stopped, trying to suppress the flowing emotions.

Foust walked into Squad 4's training grounds, and looked around. He was looking for a certain person, of which he did not see. With a sigh, he said,"Either she is not here yet, or I don't see her." Deep inside he really wanted to meet the squad 4 captain. To him it would be an honor, just like it would if he met any other captain. He started to walk around in search of the captain and still could not find her. With that, he came to the conclusion that he was early. "Damn, I hate waiting, but that's what I get for being early. I guess I will just wait." He walked over to the training grounds entrance, and sat down. Now he was starting to get bored. Being patient was not his thing, but he thought it would be worth it.
A few minutes went by, but to him it was longer. Waiting was just too boriing. He wanted to keep himself occupied, so he decided to stab the ground. He unsheathed his sword with his right hand, and turned it upside down. While sitting near the entrance, he was just stabbing the ground. From a distance he probably seemed weird, but heck he was bored.

He stopped, trying to suppress the flowing emotions. Elyse tried to think of what to say to console Kei about his doubts or his restraints in his goals as a Shinigami. It really was something for there to be a shinigami whom wasn't at least some what of a fighter. Even if the big guy had the body, he lacked the hearth. With a sigh elyse would stetch her arm out and around his shoulder and pull him a bit closer, pating his arm as she did rather roughly. "Well that is a problem...but you know I don't think it's that big a deal. You just need to find you calling Kei. From there you'll tackle what's left. Fightings not al were about in fourth squad, we heal , we nurture, and we keep this place running at it's best. focus on healing for now and if you leave it to me. you'll be trained to fight some of the most fearsome hollows out there, hehe."
Elyse would give Kei a reassuring smile as she'd hear another of in the distance stabbing at the ground for no apparent reason. This was most likely out of boredom and it wouldn't have been the first time Elyse saw someone doing the same for the same reason. She'd stop rubbing Kei shoulder to comfort hi and stand together feet looking over to the guy by the door way.Looking back to Kei she'd ask, "Hey do you know him Kei?"

He never felt it that way. He wanted to become strong right now, right that moment, but it is indeed a long road. Will he survive with such a journey? Can he fulfill the task of protecting those he love? hen why does he fear power. He want to grab hold of it but he does not bear the strength to wield. He may, but his will will fail him. It is sad...
When she asked the question, Kei shook his head in disagreement to Elyse. Then, he looked at the man that sat with a bored expression on his face several feet away from them. He looked at him with deep focus, in case he knew the man. But the person didn't ring a bell on his mind. Once again, he shook his head.
"I have no idea who he is..." Kei said. "Maybe he's waiting for other people... Like Envy-taichou, for example?"
And then, he gave Elyse another look of amazement that she did not know the person. His first thought of her was that she knows everybody, but he guessed wrong.

[Foust, I owe you cookies for taking so long. What kind ya want? lol]
Envy shunpo'd into the training grounds with a small smile on her face and a Monster Energy Drink in her left hand. This was the first time in a while that Envy had entered the training grounds since as of late, it was as if the captain turned into a lazy slug that did nothing but stay in her office all day doing the most eccentric things to procrastinate doing her captainly duties. Like yesterday she tried to set a Soul Society record for that ball and paddle game and she was successful though she didn't have one hundred witnesses so... it didn't count.
But Envy's eccentric ways are not the point here. The point is that she went to the training grounds and she found a dude stabbing the ground. The ground of her squad. He was stabbing her dirt. What the hell was with this dude?
The young captain appeared infront of the stranger and kicked his sword. "Uh, hi. Excuse me, but what the hell are you doing?" Envy asked in a curious tone with her light blue eyes slowly turning a dark green.

She got his attention, when she kicked his sword. The sword went a few feet away and it looked like Foust was still trying to stab the ground, but with an invisible sword. He looked up and saw the squad four captain, and quickly stood up. Before anything, Foust started to look at the hand he held his sword in and his sword that laid a few feet away on the ground. Then, he looked at the captain and said,"Well that's one way to get someones attention, haha. Oh wait, hold that thought." Foust took a few steps to get his zanpactou. He picked it up with his right hand, swung it down ward to remove the dirt, and sheathed it. With two steps back to where he was he said,"To answer your question, I was waiting for you. Sorry if stabbing the ground offended you, but I got bored. When I get bored, I try to keep myself occupied, and considering I got here early I needed something to do. Like I said though, I was waiting for you."

[ :< You still haven't told me what kind of cookies you want.]
As the stranger shinigami rambled on, Envy took the opportunity to take a good look at him. First thing she noticed, he was omega tall. Like, tall as Captain Bullene which was pretty damn tall in her opinion. Then she noticed his hair and she couldn't help but wonder if it was natural or dyed. Next, was his reiatsu; she figured him to either have a low seat or none at all.
"Okay... now, who the hell are you? And uh, why are you waiting for me?"

Foust looked at the short captain with a smile as he said," I'm terribly sorry, I didn't introduce myself." He bowed to Envy and said," I am Foust, unseated member of Squad Seven. I came here to meet you, and maybe spar with you. That is, if you want to." His reiastu may have been low, but he was a pretty good fighter. Foust definately didn't give the appearance of a fighter though. With a look at him, anyone would think he is a nice, lazy idiot. Inside, Foust loved to fight. Especially with hand to hand combat. That was the kind of battle he was looking for, but wasn't sure if she would be the type to go hand to hand. Either way would be good with Foust, fighting with hand to hand or with their zanpactous.
Foust rubbed his right hand through his hair,"Well, what do you say?"
((Nah, don't worry about the cookie. I don't want any, but thank you for the offer.))

[Enter from Hueco Mundo]
Aislinn stumbled as she was tossed out of the garganta, but she regained her balance almost immediately, turning to catch Ami before she had the chance to fall and hurt herself. The garganta closed, vanishing into thin air as though it had never been. Almost at once, Ash released Ami and took a step back. She clenched her hands to stop them from shaking. What's happening t' me? She felt jittery. It hadn't just been the shadowy recesses of the garganta that reminded her so much of the awful darkness that was growing inside of her. It was everything. Everything felt so wrong-- Ami felt wrong, though Ash couldn't place the feeling. Was it her sudden impetuousness? The way she'd lept into the garganta without pause? Where was the cautious Ami? The sweet little healer Ash loved seemed to have fled and been replaced by... Someone. Ash just didn't know who. Or what.
Having touched Ami many times, there was no doubting the texture of her skin nor the sensation of Ami's lips against her own. They were feelings Ash had memorized yet never tired of. They were right. But what was beneath Ami's skin felt wrong, so wrong, in fact, that Ash was frightened.
She cursed herself silently. Was she trying to tell herself things that weren't true? What was truly frightening her? Was there even any strangeness in Ami's behavior, or was it simply Ash trying to fool herself? What scared her most of all was the thought of losing Ami, yet that was exactly what she planned to do. Perhaps she was subconsciously deluding herself into seeing some sort of oddity in Ami that would make leaving her easier. There's nothing easy about this, Aislinn chided herself. Breaking her heart isn't easy. Living without her will never be easy.
"Are you all right?" She wanted to know, avoiding Ami's eyes. "There's... There's something I want t' say. Been thinking about it and... Now that you're safe. There's something I need t' tell ya,"

When dark reflections dance... "Ami" took a step back from Ash, dusting herself off and doing her best to stand tall. Within the shell, Bikou was analyzing what had just happened. For some reason, he felt as if he was being consumed from the inside, his very soul rent in half by the powers at work within him. But on the outside, he needed to remain calm, focused. "Of course baby, you needn't worry about me." 'She' whispered somewhat sheepishly, "And what is it you need to tell me? You know you can tell me anything Ash, regardless of whether or not I'm safe."(sorry for the shorty. In a bit of a rush. ^_^) ...Beneath a silvery moon

"I'm--" Aislinn paused. Suddenly there was a lump in her throat. She swallowed hard, forcing the pain out of her eyes. The emotion that replaced it was a startling change. Her eyes, once so bright and lively, became flat and cold like chips of clouded ice. When she spoke, her voice was oddly hollow. "I can't, Ami," She looked up then, focusing on Ami with those flat, emotionless eyes. "I can't do this anymore,"
It was a little disturbing to realize how easily she could lie like this. For once, she let every doubt and worry she'd ever had about their relationship spill over into words. Every fear, every thread of confusion wrapped itself into her words. "What we're doing-- it's wrong. Two girls can't--shouldn't... It's not right, Ami. We're not right, not natural. I just can't..." She forced the next sentence out. It was the most terrible thing she could think to say: "I can't pretend to love you anymore,"
Aislinn crossed her arms over her chest in an attempt to keep herself together through all of this. Of course, she hadn't meant a word of what she'd said, but it seemed the best way for her to push Ami away from her completely. "What happened in Las Noches-- it just proves what I should've known all along. You drag me down, Ami. You're bad for me, and I won't do this any longer. I... I don't love you. I don't want you,"
I'll hurt you so much you'll never want to see me again. Then you'll be safe.
"Stay away from me from now on. Shouldn't be too hard for you. Go find someone else to sink your claws into. I'm won't be your plaything anymore,"
Oh god, Ami... I love you. Although her emotions were hidden, they were raging more strongly than ever. Although Ami had been acting strangely, Ash could easily attribute her behavior to any number of factors. It didn't change her into someone else. This was Hateshinai Ai Ami. Ash knew she'd love her forever. It was because she loved her that she had to do this, no matter how much it felt like her heart was being torn from her ribcage.
(I imagine Bikou can see through this since he can sense emotion, right?)

When dark reflections dance... As he watched Aislinn tear her heart asunder, Bikou smirked from beneath his guise. As each phrase was whispered out from her lips, a second was whispered from his earring, telling him all of the emotions that she was feeling. The pain, the suffering, the doubt, the hesitation. It was as clear to him as daylight. Her voice ceased, and she visibly pulled back into her shell, hiding from the hard truth, as it seemed. Dark laughter tore from "Ami's" mouth, and a deep, darkening shadow fell over the entire training field, shrinking in size and force until it had isolated both Ash, and the twisted figure that now stood before her. What had once been Ami stared out at Aislinn with eyes as black as midnight Eyes that seemed to draw all light and life into their cores and destroy them. "Chiiild." A dark voice hissed, curling out from Ami's now-pale lips and wrapping about Ash's form, licking at her head with harsh tones and slippery sensations. "Your pain.. it is so tantaliziiing." Her eyes rolled back into her head, and she laughed again. "But your voice has fallen on deaf ears. Ami lies within my care, and so it shall remain until my mission is complete." The dark frame suddenly stood before Aislinn, dragging a finger across her throat. "Breathe a word, and she dies." It hissed, then the shadow, and the creature within, vanished. Moving to some unknown location.[Exit] ...Beneath a silvery moon
