Heather just smiled listening. She didn't want to say anything in case she interrupted.

Amkia just crawled to Kale trying to pull his ears or something, they amused him alot!

Kale turned to Amika, glad to have a playmate. He immediatel marveled at the boy's shining appearence. He reached out and toughed his feathery soft hair in awe.

Marissa served herself a small cup of stew. She took a sip. "Mm, this is lovely," she said, "And perfect for a hot day."

The song came to a slow, seductive halt, and Lorelei looked up. "Really?" She smiled sheepishly. "I never had to cook at home... and Voltaire always cooked while I was staying with him. I wasn't too sure if it would be any good."

Vanna, now quiet again, grabbed up her angel doll and thrust it in Amkia's face, giggling and pointing to the wings. It wasn't gold all over like Amkia, but it had wings and blonde hair!

Heather took a cup of the stew as well, she had been weary of it before but then she always had been of others cooking! Strange girl. She ate it slowly but smiled and nodded, "It is very nice!"

Amkia giggled as he was patted and then took the doll from Vanna and held it by his face so she could compare the difference, however, Amkia didn't stop giggling.

Kale saw the resemblence as well and gasped in mirth.

Marissa swallowed a large mouthful. "Oh, please don't stop," she said, "Play another. Do you perhaps know...Wildwood Flower?" She giggled, recalling the folly song of her childhood.

Lorelei thought, pursing her lips. "Hmmm... I might. The name seems familiar..." She plucked a few strings, listening and thinking.

Suddenly, Vanna piped up with a few notes, out of nowhere. Lorelei looked up, astonished. "I think that's it! Is it, Marissa?"

Vanna giggled, happy to help her mother. Then she turned back to Kale and Amkia and gasped at the resemblence between her doll and the angel boy. Then she grabbed Amkia and hugged him, just as she would her doll.

Heather just listened to the harp. She didn't know many songs nor the names of them. She was use to making things up on the spare minute. Improvisation was her key in music.

Amkia just stared at Kale and Vanna, then he gasped for breaths as Vanna suddenly hugged him a little too tightly. He still giggled though, happy to be around friends!

Marissa was startled. "That's it!" she cried with a laugh. "Oh I'll think of him never, I'll be wildly gay, I'll charm every heart and the crowd I will sway, I'll live yet to see him regret the dark hour, when he won then neglected the frail wildwood flower." She giggled. "A bit morbid for the wee ones, I admit, but it's a pretty tune, indeed."

Kale joined in the hug immediately, laughing.

Lorelei smiled at Marissa and took up the tune on her harp. The harp lacked much of the down-to-earth sound of the fiddle or wood flute, and it gave the folk song a much more subdued feel. To be expected, of course!

"I've never heard the lyrics to it - they're quite beautiful. I don't know many song lyrics myself..." She wracked her brain. "Hm... well, perhaps I do know one or two..."

Vanna, overjoyed, hugged both boys all the tighter... with the unexpected result of pushing them all off-balance.

Amkia fell over giggling after the big hug. It was something strange to be with both Vanna and Kale and all this hugging! He was happy though!

Heather slipped away quickly and came back with her flute, listening to the notes being played she soon picked it up and played along, hoping that no one would mind.

"Oh good, more music!" says Marissa cheerfully, picking a harmonizing tune of her own and singing along at an "ah."

Kale squeals as he topples over, landing with a bump and rolling onto the grass.

"I'm very glad you both like the harp - I had no idea how it would sound until I started playing. I must admit, I was expecting... less. Usually, harps wrought from gold are a little less musical than those made of traditional materials. And it's a small lap harp, at that."

Her fingers began picking out a different tune, which Vanna immediately picked up, singing as she snuggled on top of the two boys. In their own ways, they made comfy beds! And she was so light, it probably didn't matter that much.

Along with Vanna, Lorelei began to sing along as well. "A clouded dream on an earthly night hangs upon the crescent moon. A voiceless song, in an ageless light, sings at the coming dawn... birds in flight are calling there, where the heart moves the stones. It's there that my heart is longing for, all for the love of you." Her voice was trained, but training can only take a voice so far. Her natural voice wasn't perfect, couldn't nearly match Vanna's, but it was.... pleasant, all the same.

Heather just listened. She had a way of just being wrapped up in the music and not even being aware of what was happening around her.

Amkia giggled at the singing Vanna on top of him and Kale! He wanted to get up though but he didn't want to push Vanna out the way!

"You have a nice voice," Marissa commented. "It sounds...well-learned. Were you taught?" she asked curiously.

Kale decided to pitch in a helping hand. He crept behind Vanna and pulled her off of Amika with a giggle, sending the two of them reeling backwards a few steps.

Lorelei looked up and stopped singing, continuing the song with her fingers alone. "As much as any young noble girl is instructed," she said after a moment, picking her words with care. "A pretty voice and deft fingers on the harp can earn a girl a rich husband. My father trained me to that end."

Vanna fell backwards a few steps, giggling and yelping, not used to walking on her feet. As such, she was pretty unsteady, and latched onto Kale to keep herself from falling.
