Sniper Shento

In response to his arrow he just shot, he had immediately began charging his bow for a follow up attack. He knew that he couldn't catch them on foot, even with his speed, but he could still reach them.

"...sixty...."

He ignored all enemy actions. He knew they were fleeing. And a large portion of the morphs would not be able to catch them, for they were slow foot soldiers.

"...sevent-" He saw an arrow coming at him from high in the sky. He had no choice but to attack without full charge. "...Seventy percent output." He released the bow and out shot a powerful bolt of lightning, that pushed Shento back slightly as he released it. "Scatter shot...." The arrows then split into multiple arrows, and those arrows split into more arrows. The arrow that his enemy had shot was destroyed on its way down. But Shento's arrows flew onward. Though, the power was weakened and split apart, they may still do some damage.

"..." Shento fell to one knee. It had been a while since he had charged that much up. He watched as the enemy fled. Sleep had made him soft... for now.

Getting back there, Ziaram did notice Shento, then stopped for a bit, shocked to see the legend, then got back to his senses. "Lets get out now, before he can finish us off...he protected the king of our land...he an take on way too many dragons. Lets get out of here NOW!" Trying to usher Canas and them to the others.

Shinon saw his arrows disintegrate and the lightning bolts scatter.
"Aw crap!" Shinon yelled as he ran as fast as he could through the land.
He dodged some of the bolts but the one hit and he limped onwards.

Blossom's breathing sped up a little as Jin's gaze sharpened, and she turned her eyes down to the wound. It had really puffed up... that wasn't supposed to happen, was it? She winced as the wound pulsed again, and that fire-like sensation sent numbing fingers down her leg. It hurt to move her left leg, that was really bad... She leaned against her right leg, putting a hand against a nearby tree branch to keep her balance. All her weight was off of her left leg now.

"Hold still for a second." Blossom let out a long, shaky exhale as the cool sensation of the healing magic tried to pierce through that fire. The wound itself felt better now, the gash almost fully sealed, but it was still bright red and swollen where the arrowhead had pierced deep through her skin in its flight. The fire-like pain hadn't disappeared yet, still pulsing deep in her leg, making her wince. "Blossom... you might also be poisoned, but... there's nothing I can do for it now. You'll be in pain for a little while, but you'll live."

Blossom started to take a step forward, only to find her newly-healed leg to crumple. She yelped as she hit the dirt, wincing. That stinging pain had spread all through her nerves; it hurt to put pressure on her leg. The little Hero, though, pulled herself up with the aid of a tree branch overhead. She picked back up her sword and used the blood-stained blade as a walking stick, gripping the hilt in both hands. "A-All right... do... w-we stay in the forest, or follow th-the others in retreat...?" she asked, her voice a little watery as she turned to look at the masked priest. She had gotten more air in her lungs, though, and overall sounded healthier, even if still in pain.

Victoria noticed the magic arrows racing for the Fire Dragon and the others, and she quickly used her Purge spells to make sure they didn't hit their targets. She WAS thrown off him, but she was still able to keep up with the others retreating. For now, this was all she could do.

Annis the Raven
Annis' eyes widened. She had started to follow the others towards safety, where they felt the castle would allow them to stay without being maimed by all these enemies, but now that raven beast was running. He wasn't in that huge form anymore; he was Castello now.

Got you.

Annis streamlined again and flew after him, hands empty. She didn't need her daggers just yet. A few branches whipped against her face or shoulders, leaving scrapes, but she caught up to the man easily; he was on foot, after all. She didn't try to get in front of him, just stretched out a hand and managed to grab onto his collar. The change in momentum, though, sent her crashing over his shoulder and into a tree trunk ahead of them. "Augh! Ow... dammit!" Annis pulled herself rapidly to her feet, rubbing her forehead. She could already feel the bruise spreading there. Her eyes warily went to the laguz; her hands were where she could reach her weapons easily, but she didn't draw them yet. She just watched Castello.

After that display, she didn't feel safe leaving him to his own devices.

From a handsome, graceful, and powerful hero like Castello, one might expect him to brush that off, roll with the hit, come up fighting. Or flirting, perhaps.

One might also take into account that he was kinda freaked out and had just transformed for the first time in centuries. He stumbled when her hand grabbed his collar, caught his foot on a root, and tripped. Fortunately, Annis fell first and he had a relatively soft landing. He grumbled an apology as he pulled himself up, staggering right over her as he staggered in the direction he hoped he had seen Teifi-- at least, a scrap of one of her sleeves, before he'd been drawn to the fighting.

Unexpected, definitely, to suddenly have someone fall on top of you. Annis heaved out a surprised breath, stars coming to her eyes at the pressure on top of her chest that restricted her breathing. He was up and off quickly, though, giving Annis time to sit up and get her breath back. His movements were frantic, panicked. Annis turned her gaze to him, then set off at a run after him.

"Get back here!" she shouted after him. She burst out of the trees some time later, still following the raven laguz. When she finally came out onto the street, all she could register was the huge crater in the middle of the cobblestones. Annis had never seen that kind of dent in the ground, not unless someone had attacked that particular spot with a blast from Bolganone, perhaps... Her eyes turned to the side. First she saw the unconscious woman, foot resting in a position clearly not meant for it. When she managed to tear her eyes away from that, she only got to clearly see the unconscious snake-like man a short distance away. He was familiar, eerily so... and Annis didn't know many (okay, any) other snake-like men...

"He... Ganon??" Annis breathed, eyes wide. She glanced to Castello. She looked back to Ganon. A beat passed, and then Annis was kneeling next to the entirely-too-tall man. She swore under her breath. At least he was already on his back, made things easier... The raven fumbled for the Vulnerary in her pack. It was a good thing she had it, too; his hands were in sorry shape, not to mention all those cuts and gashes... how the hell had a bard and what looked like a dancer gotten injured like this? Annis grunted and shoved at his arm, eventually managing to get the man off of his stomach and facing the sky instead of the cobblestones.

Annis removed the medicine from her pack and yanked the cork out with her teeth. She cast a glance at the Vulnerary, then shook the contents, watching it swish. Ointment, not potion. It always seemed to change depending on who sold you the damn things. Annis yanked off her gloves with the help of her teeth and set to work, rubbing Vulnerary into his wounds, reaching in for the half-empty vial she had left once the first bottle was empty. If she could heal his injuries, she could at least get him somewhere to rest without him bleeding to death or opening wounds more along the way... judging by his size, he was a large man, and it wouldn't be a very smooth trip.

Castello was frozen, staring at the crater. And at Teifi... He swung his head around to Ganon, his hand on the hilt of Isadora's sword... but no. Teifi would never forgive him. If that... thing was able to match her blow for blow, she'd never forgive the raven if he killed the creature before she got a chance to try again. He saw Annis start to move and shook his head. "Fine. You take care of yours, I'll take care of mine..." He jogged quickly over to the woman who was more or less regarded the group's mother and knelt, inexpertly trying to bandage her wounds with the strips that were torn off her clothing-- and taking care to cover her scars and make her decent as well.

"So," he said, after a while of working. He hadn't an elixir or vulnerary on him, so he had to do it all the old-fashioned way. This was, he reflected, a huge mistake that would have to be rectified when he got her back to the house. "Sorry. About back there. I didn't even mean to go fight... I don't know what came over me," he lied.

Annis paused in her ministrations. The half-full Vulnerary was beginning to wane now, just a little, and she held her hand over Ganon's face. She had been in the middle of treating the long cut across his cheekbone, stretching near his eye. The scar was of enough note to attract Annis' attention, but it seemed unimportant as Castello spoke to her.

"So. Sorry. About back there. I didn't even mean to go fight... I don't know what came over me."

Annis snorted through her decidedly feminine nose and flipped her hair from her eyes. She looked back to Ganon. Her hand returned to carefully applying Vulnerary salve to the cut. She watched it dissolve away and seep into the wound, healing it. "Bullshit," she finally told him, the harsh tone betrayed by worry. Ganon really was badly injured, and she didn't know if a full Vulnerary and half of another were going to be enough to help him. She doubted he'd regain consciousness, at least. "You knew exactly what you were doing, I'm sure. I don't exactly take kindly to attempts on the lives of people who were only trying to defend themselves against a sudden, overwhelming attack." Annis paused, glanced at her gloves, and tore them to strips, trying to handle the smaller wounds. Why had she dedicated so much of the Vulnerary before to minor cuts? She should have saved them for the bigger wounds... Foolish! This is why you're no healer, you stupid bi... Urgh.

Ganon groaned quietly, twitching his closed eye and opening it slowly. "U-uhh," he moaned, glad he had at least managed to roll over and get his gaping chest wound out of the dirt. And now what appeared to be an angel was laying hands on him, healing him with her divine magic.

Her stinging, burning, exceedingly PAINFUL divine magic.

"Owooowhyowyowww," he wanted to howl, but his throat was so dry he couldn't make more than a creaking groan. With the sun behind her, it took a moment for Ganon's dry eye to make out that Annis was not, in fact, an angel, but a Raven. "Uh?" he rasped, then closed his eye and gritted his teeth, scratching at the dirt lightly with his clawtips.

For the past few weeks, Lance tried to recall every time he had been ignored. From friends, to crowds, to little girls, he had been ignored by a large variety of people. Women, men, children, senior citizens, cute and ugly...

But to be ignored by an entire army?

When the morphs first charged, Lance was right next to Blossom (who started by showing concern for Aidan only, forgetting him). The first morph she slayed had dropped a spear, which Lance had immediately scooped up and chucked over to Aidan. A roaring morph rushed at him, and Lance prepared to counter strike when dodging...

But the morph never attacked him. He ran straight past, going for Blossom instead. It had puzzled Lance, who decided to dash straight into the thick of the morph army.

And no one still attacked him.

In the midst of the battle, Lance started pondering. It couldn't be that they didn't see him, some morphs did bump into him but didn't care much. And then it hit him.

The throb in Lance's head earlier signaled that the morphs had gotten close. It was probably because of their Dark Druid had ordered them to go there, and the sheer magic made Lance's head hurt like that. However, their orders were probably "kill anything not on our side". And for some reason, the morphs weren't able to discern Lance from themselves. The very basic morphs lacked any real intelligence, so they probably lacked the insight to think it through enough.

They thought he was one of them.

It was at this point that Lance realized he had gotten seperated from Blossom and Aidan. "BLOSSOM! AIDAN!" he yelled, but he had gotten no response.

Lance's head was overworking itself at the moment. He was smack dab middle of about two hundred morphs, who did not speak or think, who couldn't tell he wasn't one of them...

And he was all alone.

Alright Lance. Just calm down and think this through. They won't hurt you, not at the moment at least. Even if you're in a bad situation, it's not hopeless. Think. As you're safe right now, this is probably a good time to do some little scouting. I just need to find something so that something more intelligent cannot pick me out...

Looking around the battlefield, it was littered with dead. Mostly morphs, I'd wager...

He looked around particularily for a morph that had dissipated when it was kill. Though morphs could slump together like normal bodies do, some would just disappear, leaving only the clothing they worse. Lance found a heap of rags and armor, that he quickly scooped up. He then ran behind a tree and changed into his new, generic morph look.

Alright. Not too fashionable, but it'll do. Time for some spy work.

With that, he picked up a sword, then ran to join up with the majority of the morph army.

Ignoring Annis' comment, Castello finished wrapping up what bandages he could and picked the light dancer up in his arms, then spread his wings and took to the sky. He soared over the trees, carrying her swiftly back to Fefga's mansion so that she could be properly healed.

Annis scoffed out between her teeth and looked back to Ganon. She heard him moan while she was looking over to Castello, and now she turned her eyes to his face. He managed to open his eye and at the motion from his arm, Annis put her hands on his forearm, near his wrist. "No. Stay still. I'll handle it," she told him. She dug in her pouch -- didn't she usually keep a waterskin in here? But it wasn't there. Damn.

Annis looked over to Ganon, then whispered for him to hold still again before picking up one of the cloth strips left of her gloves. She spat on the cloth -- with no water, this was all she had to get it damp -- and gently wiped at his eye, trying to clear away the dust and dirt from his vision before moving to clear off the wound in his chest. There was enough Vulnerary left to at least begin the mending process. And he's conscious now. That's a good sign.

If I only had some damn water... Annis took what was left of the Vulnerary and treated the gash across his chest. "Don't try to talk, you're weak enough as it is. Save your strength to walk; I can let you lean on me, but I'm not strong enough to carry you," Annis found herself saying in a more soothing voice than she thought herself capable, one hand brushing the dust-strewn red quills of hair away from Ganon's scaly face while her other hand finished easing the remaining parts of Vulnerary into his wound.

Ganon rumbled dryly, reaching up to take Annis' hand once his chest wound started to close. "Th-thank you," he rasped, pushing with his other claw and dragging himself to his feet. His hand left a spot of blood on the ground where it pressed down, and his fingers left smears all over Annis' hands before he got up all the way. His tail instinctively wrapped around his violin as he staggered a bit and leaned on the poor raven girl. "Uh... m-mando... lin..." He was feeling a lot better than he had been after the vulnerary, but his throat was so parched it hurt to speak, and he was still dazed from the shock of battle.
