"Its no problem sugar. Aren't you a sweet little thing." the waitress said smiling as she took out some menus from her apron and handed them to the both of them. "I'll be back in a little bit to get what you desire she said with another wink and a smile."
Lance smiled at Raven as they sat down.
"The selection of food is not the greatest but this place is known for its sandwiches and soups. Go ahead and get whatever you want Raven." Lance said as he looked at the menu.

Raven hesitated before picking up her menu. She looked it over, slowly reading the words. She sat straight in the seat, her elbows were against her sides as she looked thought the menu. "It looks good." she said smiling to herself. "I think soup sounds good." She looked now toward that section of the menu.

Kaz sighed lightly, "True that she is that angel. But as with anyone she should have a CHOICE as to whether or not she sacrifices her life for those of this planet. And instead of making certain she does as that suggests, we should look out for her and se eto it the the planet does not get that bad, so that she may live instead of being forced to give her life for something will repeat itself."
Kaz thought it pointless for her to sacrifice as an angel before her had done, just to fix something that had happened again. Shouldn't it be used as an example and steps taken to prevent the past from repeating itself? Kaz made no effort to hide her thoughts either, letting everyone hear them as she thought these.

“If it were that simple, we would have thought of one already. For now she needs to rest, but at the rate of the feathers being absorbed into her into her body. It is unlikely she will rest at all unless you have a better idea on how to stop the flow of absorption from being so quickly.” Rage was blunt about the matter. He didn’t like one of his patients suffering.
“Well now, this cat has a backbone after all. What did you say your name was chick and lad?” Solzeni was interested in them now. Her words came gently at first but more harsh at the last only because she was still protecting Nyma who laid sleeping.
Nyma laid in the bed unaware of what was happening till finally she would awaken. She looked rested to the relief of Rage and Solzeni. She even looked one hundred percent recovered somehow. She continued to lay this way until she sat up. Her wings had begun to beat gently as she took off from the room suddenly. Her body even shot past Laurell. She was being guided by something. Seeking something out, as she flew away from the place she was being held till finally she flew high into the air her wings glowing as she seemed to be looking for another feather.

Skog walked awkwardly in the middle of the streets. A car almost hit him as it swerved to get out of his way. He wandered around like this for a good, long time before arriving at the diner. He stared at the sliding doors, looking for the handle. Some of the potential patrons were unnerved by the boy standing at the doors, and left before entering.

"Is that all you want Raven?" You know I can cover the bill and it looks like you haven't eaten in a bit." Lance said as he looked up and saw the waitress coming back smiling happily.
"How's it going you two? Do you need any more time to decide on what you want?" the waitress said warmly.
Lance smiled as he ordered a Cheese steak sandwich and a cup of coffee.
The waitress turned to Raven and looked a little worried for a moment.
"Everything alright hun? You don't look so happy." the waitress asked concerned.

Raven smiled up at the woman, "No, I am fine, perfectly fine, thank you. I would like some soup please." She looked from Lance to the waitress. She lay back in her chair, hoping that maybe that would help them to relax. For her it was unsettling to be so relaxed. She still had it in her mind that she would get swatted if she showed this sort of weakness.
"Is that alright?" She asked looking at the two.

Annoyed, Skog shot an arrow straight into the sliding door on the left. He grabbed its shaft, wiggling it until the glass started to crack. But by then, the sliding doors had sensed him and opened. He nervously edged into the diner, standing by the front wall. His attempt at being discreet was in vain.

Laurell rolled her eyes at Amos and said nothing to him. She thougth quickly weighing what the man offered. Stepping to stand as close to his as possible without touching the kid she jabbed her riffle at his gutt making certain he understood her next words. "Fine soldier boy, you try anything stupid and your back's gonna be full of lead."
She gave a glance to teh ones holding him to let him go and backed up. Keeping her gun aimed at his back and her eyes sharp she said to a couple others, "I've-" Stopping in mis sentance she saw something fly by her adn spun arround, but not before dropping to her knees and making a kick to knock the leverage out of Amos, in case he was the reason behind what happend.

"Sure thing hun. Presently we have Chicken Noodle, Minestrone, and Broccoli and Cheese. What kind of soup would you like?
"Oh...can I get some chocolate cake to miss." Lance added to the order. It was obvious Raven was having a hard time adjusting to what was going on and he hoped to help her relax.

"My, my," Amos commented from his new position on the ground, "you're quick to judge, aren't you?" He stood up once more and dusted himself off. "I had nothing to do with that just now, but I don't need a scanner to tell you that the angel just flew past us. Now, I assume you aren't just going to let me go retrieve her; you don't trust me to come back. So, I'll simply do what I said I would for you."
Amos pulled out a scanner and directed it toward the broken mirror. after a few seconds, he looked back to Laurell to report his result. "Judging by the small amount of leaf residue, I would say that your other intruder was a forest spirit."

The waitress smiled and dashed off with the orders to the counter where a big man with a sloppy chef hat stood behind. He took the paper with their order and nodded as he put it down to fill out the order.
"Raven...I am sorry if I am not able to help you feel better. I can not force you to trust me. Trust is not something you can freely throw about in today's society." Lance said calmly. "All I can do is show you I am not the worse alternative out there."

Nyma remained floating in the sky as she looked around for the next feather. Her entire body seemed to be trying to find the second feather of healing till she felt it. It was in a diner of all places as she flew straight for it. Her wings would carry her quickly as she flew. She knew she had to get to the feather first before anyone else. They were the keys to her future and her destiny whether it leads her to the path of her own destruction. She’d enter the diner not long after landing still dressed in the dried blood clothing as she looked around for where she sensed the feather till finding it and wrapping her fingers about it. Her hand would take the feather and bring it too her body as she absorbed the feather. Not a moment later, she would drop to the ground unconscious from doing this. The pain from absorbing another feather being intense.

Raven smiled at Lance. "Thank you for the kindness you have shown me. I truly appreciate it, and I do trust you, it is just for trust to flow easily it is difficult for me. My father hurt me so many times with so many things it is hard to go back even when I am away from him." She looked into Lance's eyes. "He's messed me up." She said blushing, but she knew it was true. "I can't sit relaxed and feel comfortable, I fear that if it do I will feel the pain of a metal rod slamming on my hands or my back." She stopped, and looked out the window.
She wrinkled her nose, a particular metallic smell filled her senses just before a women caked in dry blood entered the diner and fell to the ground. Raven was on her feet in a second and running to the woman's side. She checked her over trying to see what was wrong.
