Kamui continued to try to recover but eventually he would regain consciousness. He’d open his eyes as he was still dizzy but he didn’t know what he could do. He felt sick as possible. He was unable to help protect the girls and it made him feel worse. He knew he had to get better soon or the girls might get hurt.

Aoi bit her/Sheena's lip and tried to relax.
"I'm sorry Miss sparrow. I will try not to panic." Aoi said calming down. "First we should do is get to together. I don't know how but Thomas want's me to protect you and I will do my best."

Mara wondered what Tom had been talking about, she sensed nothing...looking around the room she felt nothing. "I think that is a very good idea." Bella stood up, holding tightly to the stairwell as she took slow steps down the stairs.

"Please let me help you Miss Sparrow." Aoi said as she used Sheena's body to support Bella up the stairs. Aoi always felt so useless the chance to help was a moment she grew to love. It wasn't long to get to the top of stairs.

Thomas sat on the roof of the house, watching vigilantly. He started to bite his nails. Maybe it's nothing. Maybe I'm just... He shuddered at this, getting weaker. He thought of the others in the house. Twenty-four hours. Then I'll go back.

Aoi/Sheena guided Bella into the guest room where Kamui was already resting. She helped her relax as best she could and continued to calm her.
"Everything will be alright Miss Sparrow. I am sure with your...guardian angel we have nothing to fear right?" Aoi said hopeful.

Bella shook her head and shrugged. Looking up into Aoi/Sheena's eyes she smiled, "I really don't know. I haven't seen Tom in years. I don't know how much he's changed, I hardly remember him."
"Thank you Aoi for helping me, there is another chair there if you want to rest too." Bella pulled her blanket closer around herself. "There are other blankets in the chest there as well, they are all very warm! Feel free to borrow one!"

“Aoi? Bella? What’s going on?” Kamui would look at Bella and Aoi from the bed as he tried hard to recover. He was sure something was wrong. He just wasn’t sure how to define it. His mind was fuzzy from the fever. He wanted to protect the girls, but how? With him sick like this, he was liable to get killed in the process.

"Bella's guardian angel told me to protect the both of you." Aoi said quietly. "I figured the best way to do that that is keep you both hidden in the guest room until every thing passes over."
"Now please rest Kamui-sama. I need you get well as fast as you can understand?" Aoi said as she used Leena to push him down gently. She blushed as she felt his chest muscles under his shirt.

Kamui had no choice but to lay back down when Aoi would push him back down into the bed. His cheeks would be red from the fever as she laid there, but also because of the fact he was blushing. That caused his temperature to rise a little bit. He’d smile though as he nodded. He’d rest for now closing his eyes once more but not before placing his hand in one of Aoi’s and holding it for a little while.

How will I protect her? It was such a mistake to keep me here. Thomas thought to himself. Thoughts of self-doubt pervaded his mind. He pulled his knees towards his chest, then breathed deeply for a moment. His lips curled back into an unnatural smile. I will protect you, Bella. I will.

Aoi can ran as fast as Sheena's legs would let her to the restroom on the second floor of the home. She took a bowl and put cold water in it along with washcloth. She swiftly returned to the room so she could try to keep Kamui cool.
"How are you doing Miss Sparrow?" Aoi called over her shoulder.

Kamui felt the cool washcloth on his forehead, but could say nothing about how good actually felt. He had fallen back asleep as his hand that was holding onto Aoi’s would dangle off the side of the bed. He was trying hard to remain rested, but how he looked wasn’t too good as his breathing was a little on the heavy side from the fever. He’d knew inside that he had an uphill battle to fight.
