Moira scrambled to her feet. Whatever was bothering Kari, Makala wouldn't help. "No, no. I'll go. Stay here. There's still pumpkin juice in the basket." She widened her statement, "You're all welcome to it. I'll just be a minute." Without waiting for Makala to turn back she headed towards Kari at the edge of the water. In a few steps she had reached her, anad knelt down too. "Kari?"

"That one's awfully emotional, isn't she?" Morgan commented half to herself, half to Seamus as Kari ran off. When they had first arrived, the girl was beyond shy. Then she was fully for flirting. With a Slytherin no less. And now it seemed she was having a nervous breakdown. Morgan inwardly shrugged. She watched out of the corner of her eye as Makala acted the part of a concerned friend and then Moira genuinely took over the role. After there was a good distance between Moira and the slowly emptying blanket, Morgan looked over to Makala. "I suggest you give it a rest." She leaned back on her hands casually, no malice or sarcasm in her voice. "You've made your point to the Gryffindors. Don't push it any further." Morgan liked to believe that the houses could get along, but situations like this were very trying.

Kari half-glanced at Lacey as she spoke and whispered to her, volunteering to go and distract Makala for her as it seemed Lacey had sensed Kari's unease. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she listened to Lacey explain the Slytherin's facade. "I know..." Was all the brunette whispered back as she turned to the water again, waiting for the inevitable.

But it never came. A few minutes later. Moira was at Kari's side and kneeling beside her. "I'm sorry I suddenly ran off like that, Moira. But it was just too unbearable. There was just so many people over there, not to mention that Slytherin girl, Makala. I know the other two are Slytherin aswell, but they seem different. In the end, I just had to get up. I was also feeling a bit feverish for a moment." Taking a deep breath after finishing her long statement, Kari bowed her head and stared at her lap.

"As long as you're feeling alright now." She gave the girl a warm smile. "Take your time. I've never seen a grouping like the one we've got right now, it's weird enough to get someone fevered." And after the introduction we both had to Makala. Gently Moira placed her hand on Kari's shoulder. "No worries, ok?" You've got me and even though she's Slytherin the girl Morgan doesn't take any bull from anyone." She rose from her position and turned to leave. "i'm afraid to be away too long with all my stuff unattended." She gave a small laugh and headed back towards the group.

Seamus remained still and quiet through the drama, moving only when Moira offered refreshments. He reached lazily across his lap and into the wicker basket. He removed a goblet and adjusted the magic so that he could sip, while still maintaining the ability to hold the beverage inside should it become tipped over. The blanket was full enough to be risky. Finally he spoke, after being semi addressed by Morgan. He turned to her and spoke in monotones. "I have that affect on women." This was followed by a wink and smile, typical Seamus charm. "S'good juice. Hm?" He held out the goblet, offering the goblet to the red head.

Makala stopping in her tracks as Moira rushed past her. But she simply rolled her eyes at the Gryffindor and took a seat next to Seamus, grabbing a goblet and some pumpkin juice as well. She looked to Morgan as she spoke, first about Kari then to her. "I'm not sure. The older one is awfully stubborn. I'd rather not get kicked out of the group just yet." She took a sip of her drink and carefully set it down next to her.
She was watching Lacey and Moira speak to Kari, quickly elbowing Seamus lightly and letting out a small giggle at his statement. "Honestly, you don't affect us that much," she said. Kari and Moira were heading back over by then, so the Slytherin turned back to face those still sitting and took another sip of her pumpkin juice.

Morgan stared at Makala blankly. "And yet that's exactly what you're headed for if you don't back off." She wouldn't exactly consider Moira a friend, but she knew her well enough to know she was the protective type and wasn't going to let Kari get intimidated. Morgan rolled her eyes at Seamus' statement. At the offer of his goblet, she shook her head lightly. "Thank you, no." She looked up and watched as the Gryffindors slowly made their way back to the group.

Moira reached the blanket in time to hear Seamus' statement about his fever inducing hormonal affect on women. She couldn't help but laugh. He was far from unattractive, but his personality left quite a bit to be desired. She sat on a corner of the blanket opposite of Morgan. She gave the Slytherin a quick smile. Addressing the group she said, "She's alright. Just felt sick for a minute."

Lacey looked around, and then back at the crystaline water. Her pale, electric eyes looked over nature's mirror. She looked over at some first years, practicing and reading their charms books. Lacey infact had picked up the book that was right next to her. It was a 7th year Defense Of The Dark Arts book, that she had bought over the summer holidays. She flipped open to page 156, which was Review of The Unforgivable Cruses.

Kari listened and nodded in time to Moira's words and watched as the older girl got up and headed back to the group. Sighing once more, the brunette looked to Lacey, who looked interested in a book. "Excuse me. But I suppose I should get back. It was nice speaking to you, though I wish it were on better terms." Bowing her head at Lacey, Kari got to her feet and dusted herself off. She then turned and headed back towards the group.

Silvia had been there. Watching everything going on. There was a dark smirk plastered on her lips. "Poor Makala. Dunno why she wants to hang around that group. Of course that doesn't include Seamus or Morgan. That young Gryff seems like she'd be fun to torture, but the older one....she may be a problem." Pushing herself off the tree she had been leaning against, the Slytherin female headed towards the group, though she only intended to walk past them.

Lacey waved to the leaving girl, and then continued to read on. The sun had escaped the clouds and started to shine down on the water and her. Lacey's dark hair was illuminated at the moment, making her fairly visable to the others. In an irritated tone she said to herself. "I hate attention..." Closing her book with frustration, she gathered her things, and headed into the shaded part of the lake front. Once Lacey found a suitable area for sitting, she stretched out her plaid jacket and sat down. Not in the mood for reading, she started to day dream, her electric blue eyes going slightly out of focus.

Makala took another drink of her pumpkin juice, finding it already half empty. Suppose I was more thirsty than I thought, she thought to herself, glancing only briefly in Kari's direction as she got up and began heading back over. Then someone walking towards them caught her eye - Silvia. A small grin spread across the Slytherin's face as she quickly drained her goblet and stood, intending to join the other girl.
"Silvie!" she called to her, stepping off the blanket and heading towards the girl. "I haven't seen you in a while. How've you been?" she asked as she reached Silvia. Giving one last look at the group she'd just abandoned, she waved in Seamus's direction. "See you later, S!" she called and turned back to the other Slytherin in front of her.

Silvia turned as she heard her name being called and saw Makala get up and come over to her. Smirking slightly, she crossed her arms and turned to the other Slytherin female. "Makala." She nodded her head in greeting. "I've been alright, I suppose. You?"

Makala rolled her eyes at Silvia, laughing slightly. "Jeez, Silvie, smile for once will you?" she teased. "Save the evil smirk for the young Gryffs." She glanced back over at the group she had been a part of a few seconds ago, zeroing in on Kari. "Like that girl over there. Fun as hell to mess with. Almost made her sick just by showing up," she told the other Slytherin, letting out another laugh.

"Believe me. My smile is 10 times worse than my smirk. Maybe I'll use my smile on 'em." Silvie laughed along with Makala as they spoke. She always enjoed conversing with someone with a mind similar to her own.
