Carlos grinned broadly. It occurred to him that he was taking up more space than needed, especially when he brought his legs up to sit cross-legged. His knee bounced lightly against Adrian's leg as he grabbed his food and started chowing down. He fully intended to snuggle up with Adrian (if the rat would let him) when they were done eating.

Adrian put some croutons, salad dressing, and parmesan cheese on his salad before it into his lap and digging into it. The rat had recently started eating salads regularly since he tried them one day after not finding anything else to eat in his house.

Carlos peered over his burger to watch Adrian load up his salad, out of curiosity. Then as the movie started he turned his attention to the television and happily munching on his food.
(( I forgot to mention Carlos start the movie so let's just say he did? xD; ))

Adrian continued munching on his salad and relaxed against the couch as the movie started playing. He soon realized that he forgot the drinks in the kitchen. The rat put his food down. "I'll be right back, the drinks are still in the kitchen." He moved to go to the kitchen.

Carlos blinked and glanced back at him. "Okay!" Fumbling around for a napkin, he cleaned up his fingers and paused the movie.

Adrian grabbed the drinks and walked back into the living room, sitting back down where he was before. "You didn't have to pause the movie. It's not like I haven't seen it before." He handed the unicat his drink.

Carlos grinned and shrugged as he took his soda. "I don't mind pausing it!" He waited until Adrian was ready to watch before pressing the Play button again. Then it was back to finishing up his burger and munching on his French fries. "If you want some of my fries, go ahead."

Carlos tilted his head curiously. Oh? No french fries? What other foods didn't he like? His tail flopped about lightly for a moment as he continued to watch the movie.

Adrian finished off his salad and placed the empty bowl on the table. He continued watching the movie, but also watching Carlos out of the corner of his eye. The rat was still slightly uncomfortable around the unicat, even though they had been together pretty much all day. He didn't want it to end, to be honest. He had really missed the other anthro.

Carlos finished off his food with a crumpling of wrappers. The loud noise made him glance back at Adrian sheepishly then finding the rat already eying him (for different reasons unbeknown to the unicat), he grinned toothily. "Sorry." He reached for a napkin and cleaned his face and hands carefully; he was part-cat after all. Then he reached for his drink and sipped at it, glancing back at Adrian again as he did.

Adrian stopped watching Carlos when the unicat realized he was watching him. "What are you sorry for?" The rat asked, staring at the tv. He had no idea what Carlos did that might merit an apology.

"Oh, well when I was crumpling up the wrappers I thought the noise was kinda loud. I didn't want to interrupt the movie-watching," he grinned. Say, now that they were done eating, Carlos could get snuggly. If Adrian permitted it anyway. Glancing up at the rat, he scooted closer and leaned lightly against his arm, lifting the straw of his soda to his lips.

Adrian shrugged. "I didn't even notice." The rat moved lifted his arm and put it on the back of the couch, behind Carlos, not touching the unicat, but silently inviting the other to come closer if Carlos wanted to.

"Really? That's good!" Of course, this side discussion was interrupting the movie far more than the wrapper crumpling would have. The unicat may have felt a little sheepish about that, except for Adrian's unspoken invitation. Grinning most happily, he quickly set his drink aside and curled up against the rat, leaning his ear against Adrian's chest.
