"think nothing of it milady. This betrayal has only served to sharpen my blades further. they will pay for this, I will see to it personally." there was a glint in his crimson eye and a slight grin played across his lips. "in response to your request, the best way to deal with Illithids, one on one at close range, all you need to do is hit them enough times and avoid the tentacles. As a group or at long range their psionic powers are lethal, in which case the best way to dispose of them is to kill the central brain, shred that and their powers become useless, then they're nothing but weaklings to be massacred."

Erelala's eyes lowered for a moment considering his words "This news is just another aid for our own cause. If we prepare for anything then we shall be ready for any and everything. Thank you for the information. I will work on devising spells that should block most of their attacks. With any luck and the goddess's will we shall thwart any breach."She lifted her eyes to his once more catching the glint with in their depths. Her brows furrowed as she considered him a moment.

He nodded, "always eager to help our city in any way I can Milady." he bowed his head briefly, "but also always eager to carry out the revenancer's tenets, It's been so long since my blade tasted the flesh on an enemy."

(Just so you know, I am NOT Rping as Ulvira.)
A tall, willowy drow male sat at a nearby table. His long, yellow-white hair was pulled back into a braid. He was dressed in the proper attire for this city, so he blended in with everyone here. Toa was one of the many spies of Matron Rylinndar. He was currently positioned in this city, along with a few of his bretheren. Actually, they had been stationed here for a few months, and over their lengthy stay, things had changed dramatically, expecially the smell. He brought his drink to his lips and frowned. It's all the damned undead around here. He thought bitterly. Toa had been excited to go on this mission, getting away from the nefarious priestesses. However, his moral had been drained after the long journey to this city, it seemed to seep away more as the months here dragged along. Nothing interesting had been picked up, and Toa was not a patient individual.
A few murmurs brought the man's attention away from his drink. His grey eyes starred up curiously under his cowl at the arrival of a female on a nightmare steed. One could tell that she was a noble female by the way she carried herself. Though she didn't carry the haughty expression that most priestesses of Lolth did. He continued to stare as she made her way over to a male drow, whose hair was extremely white. His eyes narrowed slightly as she took a seat at his table. As to not draw attention to himself, he averted his stare and took another swig of his drink. Surreptitiously, he flicked his golden, studded earing, activating the magic within. Once it activated the voices that kept below a murmur become a loud bellow in his ear. He flinched a little and began to focus on the couple at the table that was the farthest from him, trying to drown out the snoring of another sleeping male. Fool. He thought to himself.
Toa sat there during the whole conversation, never letting himself seem obvious to anyone. His brows furrowed at the news, it was time he left and reported these disturbing details to his bretheren, they would leave this city in haste and report to the Queen of Ulorbbath. Though he wasn't looking forward to informing her, well more like her sister. Inafay sent chills down his spine, and he was grateful he didn't have to deal with the ruling b***h herself. Toa pushed back his chair and stood. He pulled out his wallet and laid a few coins relative to the currency of this city, tucked the wallet away and made his way to headquarters. Little did he know that the Rylinndar fortress was under lockdown, nor could he know that the ruling matron was in the middle of changing Ulorbbath history.

"I suppose I should take my leave then. It seems your friend has awakened as well."she said standing. Flipping her hair over one shoulder she moved to the side of the table.

A shrill whistle cut through the air and a moment later her nightmare steed raced to her side. Her slender fingers reached up and caressed the creature before mounting. "We shall speak again Lord Reivan, it would be an honor."

-From a narrow alcove near the restaurant, the near total darkness seems to swell and then grow darker yet for a moment as the form of Val'atar appears. Folding his wings around his body, he cautiously steps out of the shadows and heads into the building. His now ice blue eyes fall on Zarud at a nearby table, a thin smirk spreading across his lips as he takes a seat-
"You'll excuse the lateness of my arrival, it seems Lolth is working with Asmodeus.. whom has appeared here in this city of all places. The reason I arranged this meeting is simple, I would like to offer you the position of Arch-Mage at the arcane academy."
-Leaning back, he spreads his wings slightly to stretch them as he watches the reaction of one of the few individuals of the Kiaransalee faith that he actually respected-

He sat up as he heard the proposition "This is rather suprising Lord Valatar, but why me? Surely there's someone else?" He then remembered of something else and sent a telepathic message to Valatar I have something for you, he slid a package over to him.

Zarud Helviiryn He sat up as he heard the proposition "This is rather suprising Lord Valatar, but why me? Surely there's someone else?" He then remembered of something else and sent a telepathic message to Valatar I have something for you, he slid a package over to him. "Simply, because I think your the best suited for the position. Your one of the more powerful arcanists in this city and your skill with mechanical constructs sets you apart from the run of the tunnel sorcerers that often try for the job. My last Arch-Mage died during the invasion from the Illithid about 80 years ago. So are you interested?" -Val'atar reaches down and grasps the package, scanning it with his ring to check for magic before opening it-
