"Illusion..." Talia said sadly, reaching for her friend's shoulder. What's wrong. Why can't she she? She looked around to the girl and then looked to the boy named Lucas. "I'm not sure. She...she can't see anymore." She felt the panic in her eyes and the worry on her face. She fought to hold back tears of her own as she looked back down at her friend.

((Lol))

Eien, Eien..... That had been the man that Valkyrie had told her about back at the Tavern a few days ago- it seemed like years to Tala now. Anger and hate bubbled in her heart, threatening to overflow. Valkyrie's own kin had taken away her chance at happiness and true love. And he murdered their own father? It was a sin punishable by death.

She would kill him herself.

Tala kept her voice calm and soothing. "Valkyrie, it's alright love. There is nothing you can do for them now. Emery will get what is coming to him, rest assured. But Eien and your father would not want you to grieve like this. It is okay to cry, but don't suffer for the actions of your brother."

" hopefully its just a side effect and her sight will come back". she wispered in illusions ear her telling her everything was going to be okay.

As Violet stood there thinking as she missed when Xin had asked her. Instead she had developed a thought in her head. 'What if i just left, no one seems to be paying the least bit of attention to my existence...' She then turned to make sure no one was looking other than Xin, cause she didn't really care much about her watching knowing she wouldn't say much, and dashed towards the exit running through the halls of the temple. Once she was outside she ran past the many people who were hovered in a tight circle. 'Wonder what thats all about..' She deliberated for a moment whether or not she should stop and check, but the final outcome was to keep running. There was really only one place she could feel safe, and that was among the fires of her homeland.

Luke's stomach plummeted as he made the connection. "She can't see? And the king..."

He snarled in Colm's direction, then vanished. He appeared in front of the king, sparks crackling in his tangled hair. "You. This was you. Fix her-" he gestured toward Illusion, "- and I'll let you live. Otherwise..."

The sky was darkening steadily again, but Luke smiled steadily. "Otherwise, I'll bring all the nations against you. I don't think fire will be able to hold out for long, with its dwindling supplies, and with all the royals in hiding, power won't be so hard to take..."

He paused, as if considering his own threat, and then shrugged nonchalantly, the thin, merciless smile still spread across his lips. "But right your wrong and we'll go on our ways. Help her." His eyes grew thin again, shards of ice in a bitter mask. The electricity in the air was literal, and growing steadily in power.

Oddly enough, Tala's presence had a calming effect on Valkyrie. She sat up, wiping her tears from her eyes. "Yeah. You're right. I'm being silly."

Wondering what had been going on while she had her sobbing fit, Valkyrie looked around, noting that some of the others were passed out. Including...

"Um, Tala? Is that...my body?"

"Yes. Yes, that is your body. Tala sighed. Today wasn't even half over and it kept getting stranger for everyone. "The King cast a spell so that everyone in this room is now capable of astral projection. It was quite a shock to everyone."

Tala heard someone yelling and noticed the distinct increase in electricity in the air. She turned around to see a man threatening the King, screaming at him to 'fix her'. Something must have gone wrong... and the situation was escalating.

"All you have to do is want to be back into your body and you will be there." She said to Valkyrie. She closed her eyes and wished for her body to demonstrate.

When she had returned, she sat up and gazed in Valkyrie's direction, hoping to see her awaken soon. She stayed for a few seconds, regaining her bearings and watching the scene before her, ready to intervene if this distraught man put everyone in danger.

Astral projection, huh? Okay. Not the weirdest thing I've seen today.

Valkyrie looked at her body, trying to remember what it was like to be a part of it. It seemed like a separate entity from her: long, fiery red hair, pulled back in a braid; purplish eyes, now closed; skin that seemed to stay pale no matter how long she spent in the sun.

Concentrating so hard on her body, it took Valkyrie a moment to notice that she was back in it. She blinked a few times, and sat up, looking around the room again.

After seeing Valkyrie sit up and look around, Tala breathed a sigh of relief. She had been able to return without trouble. Nodding at her, she turned back to the man who seemed to be able to manipulate the electricity that was in the atmosphere and create lightning.

From listening to him, Tala was able to gather that Princess Illusion was now blind as a side effect of the spell.

Tala stood and approached the man with her hands up in a "I come in peace" gesture. She was ready to shield herself and the King if need be. "Illusion's blindness is a side affect that no one could have predicted," she said as calmly as possible. "Spells affect people in different ways, depending on their genetic make up. No one could have predicted that this would happen and it's highly probable that it is irreversible."

Tala took another step closer, her crimson cloak gently sliding along the floor and her bare feet padding lightly. "It was an accident. You wouldn't want to hurt all of these innocent people here just because you have a grudge against the King. Spells are risky for everyone, especially dark magic. But he couldn't have possibly known that it would be especially risky for Illusion."

She paused, looking at the man cautiously. She didn't want him to hurt these people in his rage, especially Valkyrie, Kiro, and the young Princesses. "It was an accident," she said again, softly. "No one is at fault. If you want to help her, you need to comfort her. That's all anyone can do."

Today, Katczinski was feeling particularly bored. He had been wandering around for a few days, twiddling his fingers and watching peasants move about their business. In a sense, he knew he was no more important than them, but he was surely not one of them. Katczinski, or Kat for short, was great at stealing, but perhaps he was never playing fair.

He held a constant illusion around him which preyed on the natural paranoia on the human mind, allowing him to remain in a state where he can only be seen out of the corner of one's eye, but when looked at, he vanished like a ghost. In reality, he never vanished, but he knew a lot about how human minds worked, enough to baffle them with his tricks.

Today, he wandered around, past some guards, into some places, did some exploring. He wound up in the temples, and walked up in time to see a lot of people being separated from their bodies. He stood in silence for a while as he watched on, collecting titbits of information. He broke his silence, and his illusion, when he suddenly felt the desire to start clapping, applauding this strange new trick. He would suddenly appear right there, plain as day on the sidelines of the group. He let out a little nervous laugh, and started scratching his head and looking around at the others, still preferring not to say anything at the moment.

Makani, who had been sitting outside the temple this entire time, was suddenly worried for her master and trotted inside. She found Tala in a stand off with a man. He smelled angry.

Tala spotted the huge she-wolf and gave her a warning with her eyes. Don't come any closer, my friend. I'm fine, don't fret.

She heard clapping and for a moment she didn't know where it was coming from. And then something shimmered.... the air? The air shimmered and a boy stood there, clapping. Then he looked a little embarassed at his outburst.

What in the world is he thinking?! This is a delicate situation!! He could have very well set this man off!

She eyed him; he looked no more than two years younger than her. She shot him a glare and turned back to the electricity wielder. "Please, you don't want to endanger Illusion any further by putting stress on her. I'm a Healer; you can trust me."

Tala's hand went to the necklace around her throat unconciously. It was good to feel the cold metal between her fingers. It kept her calm.

Kat could only think to shrug. He was very indifferent towards them right now, and was also far too shy to say anything. He felt a little like running away, or at least restoring the illusion, or finding some way to hide his embarrassed blush. He decided to set up the illusion with the electricity wielder. With a wave of his hand and a shimmer in the air, the man could no longer see Kat, except for occasional glimpses in his peripheral vision.

Slowly and very coolly, Kat walked over to the enraged man, standing a little bit behind him and tapping his chin while he thought about the situation. His thoughts were quickly concluded- "Anything I do in this situation will only make matters worse..." He thought.

He backed away from the man, and looked back up at Tala, giving her a warm smile as he noticed her negotiation ability. He sat down on the ground and simply began to twiddle his fingers for a while until he could figure out what to do.

Tala, whose gaze did not waver from the enraged man, looked at the boy out of the corner of her eye. She nodded slowly, acknowledging his silent sort-of apology. She couldn't be mad at someone who wasn't aware of what was happening.

Ellen walked back inside the temple. She didn't like to feel like she couldn't help in situations. As she walked back down the hallway she saw her body on the floor. 'Wait a second.... how did that happen?' She then walked over to it and crouched down staring at herself. She reached out to touch her arm when her hand went right through. Startled she recoiled her hand almost instantly. 'This is very strange indeed...'
