When Anna shut the door behind her, she had to contain all of her happiness into a very large, dreamy grin. With her back against the smooth wood, she slid down to the floor. It was such an amazing connection that words or even thoughts could not express how she felt.
Well, one word might: amazing.
Immediately she thought of her grandmother, as they spoke in their home tongue in the kitchen of their lovely country home...
"A dream?" she had said then, when Anna was just ready to leave home for the Academy.
"Yes, grandmother. Of a kiss." There was no one about, and she so desperately wanted to tell someone. Her grandmother, being the one person she trusted most, was the prime candidate. "It was warm, everything was, and I could just feel how much he cared for me. It almost made me want to cry when I woke up."
Her aged, wise eyes examined Anna for a moment before melting into a smile.
"You could be one of the fortunate ones, Anna dearest. To dream that way, without a face or setting... perhaps that is what you should wait for. He might be the one your heart is telling you to find."
And Anna hoped with all her heart Pyralis was indeed that One.

After a moment of collecting herself, Anna gathered her things, including the potted lily her mother gave her, and left her office for the night, bound for her own room.

The door handle turned, allowing the door to swing open silently into the dim office.
Anna, still holding Pyralis' hand, stepped into her classic office. A book or two were still strewn in odd places from her previous fall, but other than that, the place seemed quite peaceful.
"Hopefully you'll have more room in your office," she said, gesturing to the stacks of books she had yet to place in the library. "Perhaps that is what I'll work on today."

Pyralis chuckled, looking in the direction she gestured. "That would be an excellent idea. A worth cause, if only you don't have many students bothering you." He grinned and winked. When students came around, he could imagine how busy she'd be. Vaguely he too wondered about his own office. How exactly would he set his up? Shrugging the thought away, he sighed and pulled her with him to the couch to sit. "I know I should be off to organize and set up, but I find myself once again distracted."

Anna gladly sat close to him, snuggled right up to his side. She couldn't help but grin in an almost silly fashion as she looked up into his red eyes.
"It will be rather hard to concentrate knowing you're only a room away." Anna laughed quietly and blushed. He had a silver strand of hair sticking out on the side, so she reached up and tucked it behind his ear. How incredibly distinguished he looked, right then. And how fortunate she was to have him all to herself. "Hopefully Kaien won't disapprove of us cooing over eachother. In our free time, of course," Anna added, making it sound like a bit of a joke.

His brows pulled together in a slight frown. What would his mom think? Arondis might be a bit upset over him ensnaring this woman's affection. No, he'd deal with that later. Pyralis knew she'd be just fine after seeing the connection; no doubt he'd still have to sit through a lecture on keeping himself under control with this new emotional trigger. For a moment, a content but contemplative look rested on his face. A gentle hand stroked the elf's cheek before it was dropped with a sigh from the man. "We'll have to be smart about this. Perhaps the appearance of a proper courting would suffice." Anna jested with him, but Pyralis knew they'd have to be careful about displays of affection for the time being. "Oh my dear Anna, how complicated this could all be. Never you mind, the pressure of a proper courting is on my head. I shall do my best." With a soft kiss granted to his love, he stood and bowed to her. "I must bid you good day my fair lady. But perhaps you would permit me the grace of your presence at lunch?" A wink added a bit of fun to the whole display.

"I think we've both seen far more complicated matters," she said gently after his kiss. Goodness knows she had just escaped one of her own complications.
Once he stood, Anna, too, stood to see him to the door. All of his formalities made her smile with tenderness in her eyes and a blush in her cheek. He was indeed something that walked from the pages of a grand story written just for her.
With her own exaggeration, Anna curtsied to Pyralis.
"Of course you may, sir. Though when you come calling, I may either be here or in the library sorting books." Once more her eyes lit up with the thrill of the adventure she was finding herself living.

A warm smile still in place, Pyralis inclined his head and then exited the office. His own needed setting up. The time would fly easily enough. He had visions of his own perfect woman awaiting his return. Anna would keep busy on her own, but it still warmed him that already he had someone to return to. How long had it been since he had last had a woman by his side? Far too long, and never a steady partner. It is said a dragon's heart loves rarely and only once in a full moon. These thoughts leading him, the man soon turned into an office at the other end of the hall. Work awaited.

Anna sighed happily after Pyralis left the room. There was just something about him that made her so utterly content...
Turning to her books, Anna began to hum a little tune as she scooped up a few, bound for the library. There would have to be a bit of sorting done before she could truly be in order.

-Anna is back in her office-
Miss Annabelle Souris sat at her desk with a steaming mug of coffee from her own room. The day had ust begun for her, but already she was delving into another book. She had just earlier cleaned out the drawers to make everything a bit easier to handle. Goodness knows accepting students is a bit of a process, and disorganization only makes it worse.

Anna looked up suddenly when she heard the rustle of clothing. Usually people knocked before they came into her office, but her eyes softened once she saw who it was.
"Damien... I haven't seen you in ages. How are you? And what are you doing
here?"
Anna rose from her seat with a gentle grace that almost seemed motherly as she went forward to give him a hug.

Damien stiffened then relaxed as he was enveloped in her arms. "I am quite fine." He whispered, hugging her back, "I was sent here. To guard the students?" He continued on.
