The Sword of Truth By Celestial

-----It was after I finished reading Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban. I went to the book store to see if I could find a new book to read while I waited for Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire. I read a couple books but they really didn't grab my attention. I did eventually find on GREAT book, it a series by Terry Goodkind. It's called "The Sword of Truth" so far I have read all eight books plus the background book, and the ninth is coming out in July of this year.
-----The first book in this series is called "Wizard's First Rule". The main character is Richard Cypher, he is a simple woodsman...or so he thinks. Richard's life is changed utterly when he saves Kahlan(who is also more then she appears), a beautiful woman who is desperately fleeing Rahl's assassins as she tries to find Zedd, the last great Wizard. Richard has known Zedd his whole life, but never knew he was a wizard or many other things Zedd has kept from him to keep him safe from Rahl. Only Zedd can anoint a Seeker of Truth, one pure of heart and strong of purpose, who must wield the terrible power of the legendary Sword of Truth. Only the Seeker can prevent Rahl from acquiring the three Boxes of Orden, which grant their possessor power over all living things. As Rahl's plan nears its fateful culmination, Zedd calls upon Richard to become the Seeker. Richard accepts although reluctant at first; takes the Sword and the perils the challenge will have when he realizes that his new-found love for Kahlan would wither under the lash of Rahl's dark dominion.
-----Rahl, a mage for whom no atrocity is too foul, has gained two of the three Boxes. Should he complete the set and unlock its magic, not even Richard, whose father long ago taught him the Boxes' secrets, will be able to keep Rahl from fulfilling his destiny.

Final Note from the Editor:

----
Did you like that issue? I'm glad if you did, but if you think it is still lacking please send me feedback through this very thread. I enjoy "Good Work!"s but in order to continuing a constant upward climb I must receive things to work on. So tell me what you seriously think and you don't have to sugar coat it.. wink

Thank you for your comments in advance,
Mafalda Prewett

i see my article! mrgreen when is the next issue set for?

Edit by Katie:
I'm hoping for either March 14th or April 14th...
sweatdrop
but the begining of march should be near that 'almost the end of the semester but not really' crunch...
so I'm thinking that it'll have to wait until april...
