In 7th and 8th grade I had a really nice English teacher. She likes sheep (she collects plushies and figures of sheep) and she is quite up-to-date. We would sometimes watch a movie or play bingo. We once had an English breakfast with the class.
Currently, I have a really nice German teacher. She's a bit weird, though.

Spanish Nerd Kokoroki spanishnerd99 KrazyassKow My Italian teacher is okay, but she makes all the assignments five minute worksheets that have to last us the whole class. I mean, I'm okay with free time during school, but not during language class! Her whole class just moved so slowly this year, because she wants to make sure everyone understands, and even when everyone does she has to go over it like ten more times. Ugh, that reminds me of Spanish I. gonk What you should do is find a dictionary and look up new words and write them down. Or you can write about the stupid kids in your class with out them knowing. blaugh same here except it was French 1 for me! Not a good level for people like you and me! xd yeah I know my friend is taking level 1 french this year ....with the teacher I have and she hates it

As soon as I finish this course I'm going to self teach French like I do with all the other languages. My French teacher is an ordinary teacher though I suppose, not too bad or good. Other than the fact that she seems to think French and Japanese are very similar, of course. *Still can't get over that.*

Forgedawn evil My 2nd/3rd year teacher was awful. She was almost NEVER on time. Sometimes, she just wouldn't show up. It was really bad 2nd year, when we were in a portable. It gets pretty cold first thing in the morning while standing outside, waiting for a teacher who may or may not make it to class. Then in class, she almost never actually taught. At most, we'd get busywork, maybe even a brief lecture. I actually wrote an English paper about one day--we were supposed to have a quiz, and she spent THE ENTIRE CLASS PERIOD writing it on the overhead and telling us how she met her husband. Didn't help that we had worse slackers there than in the other teacher's class (don't want to say names online! Almost did! :XP smile This was pretty normal... Oddly enough, that sounds like my old French I teacher! xd
However, she was put into a position, due to several absences and complaints, where she had to either resign or be fired.
She resigned, I've got a new French I teacher, I'm very happy.

It's funny, I don't really like most of the language teachers I've had. I hated my French teacher until she was off ill for 6 months, during which time we had this completely stupid woman, who's French accent was even worse than ours was. She made me like our normal teacher, who's back now thank god. My Spanish teacher's a dragon though. We call her the dragon lady behind her back, she's old, short fat and going bald. She's not even a brilliant teacher, she gave us a test on some words and then taught us the words! gonk At least she's retiring at the end of the year surprised My latin teacher's amazing, but I'll be here forever if I start ranting about him.

This person wasn't my teacher, but my friends. When I met her, I was shocked that she was a teacher. She was teaching English, (as a foreign language), and she had bad grammer and pronounciation. It's so much better to have a teacher that is a native speaker, or extremely good at the language they are teaching.

I was blessed with 5 really great language teachers - 4 in French and 1 in Spanish. My first French teacher was the one who modeled great French prounciation and a passion for the language. She even took us to France when I was 14 - an amazing feat for any teacher. Because I had her, I went on to take every course in French all the way through university. Learning French also made it extremely easy to learn Spanish, and I took every course in Spanish I could through my university time. I ended up majoring in elementary education, not teaching in public schools, becoming a homeschool mom, and teaching French and Spanish to many homeschool students. Teaching French is really my favorite thing. I am very grateful to the language teachers I had, especially Miss Tviet from Jackson Middle School in Anoka, Minnesota. I wish I could find her and thank her, but haven't been able to! She must have married or moved.

This is a bit different, seeing as I'm fluent in Welsh so I learn it as a first language, but my Welsh teacher's speech is amazing because he never speaks in any dialect at all, which is pretty rare for Welsh speakers. His Welsh is absolutely perfect, and I would love to be like that. All the other teachers in the school go to him for help with mutations, even the other Welsh teachers, it's great XD The only bad point is, he's pretty boring >_>

I had a Spanish teacher who had a lisp and a limp. A lot of the students made fun of her. She really pushed us hard, so most people didn't make it beyond Spanish 2. She was the main reason I was able to pass the placement test and was exempt from taking all the beginner and intermediate classes when I got to college.
On the other hand, my son had a really good Spanish teacher for half a year and was learning a lot, but then she went out on maternity leave for the rest of the year, and the substitute they hired didn't know very much Spanish at all. My son and his friends all told me that they had no idea what was going on in class anymore, and I imagine the teacher was pretty frustrated too.

I REALLY loved my spanish teacher, Senora Grim. There were 4 Spanish teachers in my school, and i had the same one every year for 4 years of Spanish :3
I not only took Spanish because it was mandatory, but because i have family in Costa Rica and my mother didnt teach me Spanish as a child =(
So i told my teacher that my 2nd year, and she really felt sorry for me. She helped me write letters, proof read them so i didnt look stupid, and just went WAY beyond her role as a teacher.
She retired the same year i graduated, so im glad i got 4 years out of her, haha! She taught Spanish and French for 45 years 3nodding

I LOVED MY 8TH GRADE SPANISH TEACHER!! SeƱora Quintin....i loved her classes, they were what i looked forward to throughout the day (unfortunately, her class was 2nd period crying , so from there, i just coasted thru the rest of the day). She was nice and happy, and during study halls, she didnt have a class, so i would just go to her room and talk to her, and then with 2 minutes left in the period, she would right up a pass for me and i'd tell my study hall teacher that i was with her for xtra help xd biggrin 3nodding , i loved it!!

[ ~Jasmine~ ] I had a great English teacher last year but now we have a new teacher and I think all of our class speaks English better than she does. She makes pronunciation mistakes, she doesn't use tenses properly... I feel like my English is getting worse because of her. gonk That was exactly the same with the English teacher I had two years ago. neutral
