Rei kneeled next to Ame no Marukumo, ready to protect it from any harm possible (well, as long as it was in her power.) Perhaps it was the gratitude she had for the pheonix, but also because she wanted to make sure that no harm should come to Hatsume's zanpaktou when Rei didn't even know just where the heck the fox like shinigami was.
Suddenly, Rei felt a rush of spiritual pressure running at high speed toward her. She recognized it as Alder's, and lifted her sword in preparation for whatever the male shinigami had to offer.
Behind me. Rei relied both on sight and some of her former battleground instincts, and realized that Alder was once again doing something behind her back. Blocking Alder's blow by extending her right arm, still holding onto her zanpaktou tightly, to her back, Rei spun around and faced her shadowy opponent head on. Without missing a beat and standing in front of Ame no Marukumo like a shield, Rei jumped off her left feet, now holding the sword with both her hands toward the right side. Using the momentum of the sudden acceleration, Rei striked Alder, leaving him no choice but to either block or attack within a fraction of a second.

Alder grinned as he saw her blade nearing him. He waved his rapier in a 270 degree arc, potentially knocking Rei's blade backwards, allowing him to perform his next attack. He leaped at her again, before she could balance her blade, and struck at her chest, with a left diagonal slice, following up with a complicated series of rapid slashes and stabs. He flipped backwards when he was done, whispering his chant, so it would be inaudible to Rei. He was still extremely close to her when he cast the Bakudo, hoping to increase the success rate. "Bakudo Number Four...Hainawa...." He whispered, as he tangling net was shot, at extremely close range, at Rei.

(( Hey, wait- what about Hatsu? I guess me and her can team up against your awesomeness third release of shikai, Mashiro ^.^ ))
"Pfft, you're a tricky one," Hinata grinned at Mashiro, seeing her drill veer off to one side when it hit the barrier. "Even though your power might be limited- I have to say I'm impressed with your... flexibility, shall we call it?" The crystal column shattered behind her, just as Mashiro released the third stage of her shikai. She tucked her zanpaktou back into her belt, out of her way but still within reach if the situation became dire. "Since you're obviously giving it your all, I'll no longer be needing this."
The shinigami's reiatsu began to increase rapidly, surrounding her in a blinding green flame.
"This," she began, "is the result of several years of experimenting. Although I do detest such an ability as Hakuda combat, you'll find I excel in it far more than any other form of fighting. Now that Alder and Rei are out of the way, I won't have to worry about accidently harming them." She forced even more reiryoku through her limbs in order to strengthen them for the final phase of the battle.
"Be prepared," Hinata declared, as she darted forwards at such a speed it was comparable to a newbie's flash step. The swarm of crystals followed her, hovering like angry bees ready to sting. Just as she reached Mashiro, she launched a ferocious spinning kick at him, a glint of crystal following her foot. It formed several deadly barbs on the underside of her shoe, lengthening her reach. She followed this by using the momentum to swipe at his right side, simultaneously forming a dagger of crystal in her hand. The rest of the crystals advanced on Mashiro from above and behind.

(( So sorry! But no worries, I'm great at fitting back in! ><;;; I kept on thinking I saw the same posts- @-@; looong story. I've been out of it. Overworked with art and stuff on the com.))
-:¦:-Hatsume-:¦:-] All was silent due to her immobility to move at first, as her saw her fire been avoided her eyes twitched faintly as her abyss coloured pupils narrowed. She was learning.
Being released caused the fox to snap into such a quick movement backing up away from Mashiro you might of though death was trying to grip at her.
Her eyes glared, never leaving Mashiro as he preformed a kidou blast much like MockDash's dark ray; it's relation to the dark rays was simple enough to explain to all- it wasn't exactly a soild but yet had the capabilty to harm deeply whatever it came in contact with. She was not fooled anymore, she understood what Mashiro was after- Having the blade in her hand a surge a flame warped downwards as she jerked down-- did her body leap and be blasted into the oppitsite derection away from the kidou blast.
Silently, stealthy in the air her small form allowed the pillowing smoke pumes from her flame outburst to expand and help her keep afloat in the skies. She could feel the reiatsu under her, as the smoke caressed it gently. She could see through this gray gloomy substance as she watched him aim a lightning strike at Ame No Marukumo's birdform. It hit a tender spot in her heart, he's never been aimed at in that form before-- but her pain eased as she seen him viciously flap to set himself aside and attempt to reel in again to keep with Rei. His fire burning brightly in a protective manner. Rei wanted to protect him, but he thought it the other way around. His flame building as Hatsume's did in the air to become a much more thicker mass of Reiatsu. As Alder attempted the Lightning strike at her, his beak would snap open as a stream of thick massed reiatsu of fire pillared out to deflect the lightning like a sheild. He was in close range, and would aim it so it wouldn't hit Rei having a long flexiable neck.... it proved rather useful as he did, his tails fluttered out like a peacock and the pheonix would unexpectedly lash out into a short flight towards Alder. Strings of feathers uncoiling themselves to show true lengths of possiably over 10 feet to some, his feathers of his tails were a main weapon for the bird and could wrap around a blade without harming himself... He was a coiling trap awaiting to happen. So he would attempt to tackle himself a Alder, tail feathers of the hundrads spreading and attemtping to insangle him and his arms... immobolizing him while a painful fire iched at the skin. That is ofcourse; if his tackle even had worked.
Hatsume on the other hand was finally powered up, traces of her stealthy raising reiatsu had reached the point where she wanted. To make her fire and smoke so thick with it would had increased it's shielding and battering power by atleast ten. She could not make a large flame on her own, not without it burning something or wind carrying it into a larger mass. So closed her smoke around her; and behind as she plummeted down letting this powerful tense hot flame lead her into the right direction of Mashiro. "Then let us both... understand them better! Just because you're not strong enough isn't a excuse to be all GLOOMY!" She snapped out in her head in deep thought as her sharp own fangs slipped over her bottom lips. Her long katana aimed down at Mashiro as she Kamikazi`ed herself into him without much thought.
She was alread feeling so much pressure from Ame's bird form, it was making her restless and excited. She would plummet down in aid of Hinata's Kick; Attacking Mashiro if he attempted to avoid or counter her...
Indeed, it appeared as if this kitsune enjoyed surpised or stealth attacks.. stare
(hopfully I got all that right))

As Rei realized that it was impossible to avoid Alder's bakudo web, a wall of fire spewed out of Ame no Marukumo's beak and deflected Alder's web. Her eyes opened wide in surprise, and Rei turned her head sharply to her right to see the pheonix soaring toward her, with fire wrapped around itself.
"Ame no Marukumo.... how?" The female shinigami whispered into the bellowing wind around her. Well of course, Rei thought to herself stupidly, of course a strong zanpaktou like the pheonix can avoid a simple kudo spell.......
Feeling only gratefulness for Ame no Marukumo's rescue (the only word that can describe the pheonix's sudden appearence) and as the pheonix's flailing feathers wrapped around Alder's sword, Rei seized the chance and lunged at the surprised and unprotected shinigami. Despite some new added injury to her already bleeding left shoulder, Rei didn't feel a thing due to her over-running adralinen.Her sword in front of her, Rei can feel it penetrating Alder's clothing and her eyes hardened.
Finally, she thought.

Alder repeatedly flipped backwards, narrowly escaping the barrage of feathers and wings heading his way. Having not been caught by Ame, Rei's strike was of no concern to him. He landed on his feet some twenty feet away, grinning broadly, almost mockingly, at Rei. "What, is your little phoenix friend gonna give you some sort of instant victory? I don't have my Shikai, and neither do you. I think we should fight, just you and I, and let Ame go back to his Shinigami, no?" Alder said, regaining his stance, and awaiting her answer.

Rei may be quiet, but she is not tolerable to anyone who insults her strength and ability as a thirteenth squad shinigami.
"Sure, as long as it's only sword fight." Rei answered Alder's mocking calmly, not really caring about Ame no Marukumo at the moment. She knew that this may not be the wisest decision, but the female shinigami felt a desperate need to show the dark haired shinigami in front of her just what she was capable of. "No byakurai, no nothing; just you and me, fighting with our own sword."
Still on her guard to see what Alder would do, Rei finished her longest yet said sentence since this battle started.

"Deal." Alder said, with his stance perfectly kept in form. "I hope you don't regret it later....Without Ame's help, there's nothing separating my blade from you..." He said, with a playful grin on his face as he lunged forward, springing into the air, and performing a 360 degree spin midair, sideways of course. He took the momentum from the spin, and slashed down at Rei's left shoulder. He continued to spin over her, and landed just a few feet away, allowing him to raise his right heel into the air, and smash it down towards her right shoulder.

Rei grinned a satisfied smile as Alder agreed to her conditions. Keeping both her eyes and energy on the dark haired shinigami, Rei evaded Alder's slash with ease and dodged the kick at the last second.
He's barely scratched...... and I still have my wounds..... Rei thought with dismay. If under normal circumstances, she might have been more graceful in dodging those attacks. She needed to attack in a way that drains the least amount of her energy, so without stopping, Rei stepped behind Alder using the momentum of her dodge. Quickly slashing her sword horizontally at the male shinigami's waist, Rei drew her sword back and stabbed with her sword's point toward Alder's spine.

(( Sorry I have been away for so long, never intended on this. I will have an announcement about the art contest up so everyone look out for it.))
Mashiro saw Hatsume coming. After all it was hard to miss a young kitsune with a fire bird coming at him at full force. Not to mention she was sorta a loud mouth. However, he also had to contend with Hinata and her newest ability she has unleashed. The green grew around her and it amazed Mashiro. Out of all the 13th Company he was the only one with a green raitsu. This was not really important, however you could tell on the capability of the person just by reading their raitsu levels. By the looks of it, Hinata was giving it her all. In return Mashiro would do the same. " Hado #4, Byakurai," Mashiro pointed his finger in Hatsume's direction. It would be rare for the fast speeding lightning to hit the kitsune, but it was not his intent to inflict damage. As this happened, Mashiro charged at Hinata. Before she could make a move, the Blond Shinigami hit the ground with all his might. There was a miniture explosion that sent both earth and twig flying in all directions. This gave him cover from both Hatsume and Hinata.... but only for a moment. While in the cloud Mashiro pointed in the general direction of Hinata " Bakudou #4, Hinawa." the yellow rope shot at the unexpecting shinigami. From here on out Mashiro would wait to see what his oponets would do next.

"Whoa!" Hinata yelled as a blast of dust and rock completely obscured her vision. Instinctively, she leapt upwards, but not before her opponent's kido spell had wrapped itself firmly around her ankle, restricting her leg movement. The bakudo tugged annoyingly at her foot, almost sending her shooting back to the ground. As it was, she grabbed a crystal at random, focused some reiryoku into it and cut herself free. Flipping through the air, she landed safely on the branches of a tree.
'Fabulous...' thought the dust-clod shinigami grimly as she realised she had lost sight of Hatsume in the explosion. Moreover, a twinge in her leg as she put her weight onto it told her that the kido had bruised her ankle. However, such injuries were trivial on the battlefield, so she set about squinting for Mashiro's shadow between the shifting dust particles. Spotting him standing motionless, out of the range of the explosion, she masked her reiatsu and darted from the tree. Her crystals followed, pinned against the ground so as not to reveal her position.
"Let's engage him in some good old sparring," murmured Hinata as she formed a sword and a short dagger from crystal. Once again, she shot at Mashiro, taking a lethal swipe at his left waist with the sword, before whipping her dagger around to stab at his neckline.

With the same speed that Rei exhibited, Alder spun around, and parried her first strike before she had intended to swing, allowing him to flip backwards with plenty of time for the second attack to even come into existence. "Well...I must say, it's been fun." Alder said with a grin, as he lunged straight at Rei. Instead of slicing at her, he placed his hand on her shoulder in mid sprint, and used her like a pole vaulting bar to fling himself into the air. He spun around mid air, and used all the stored momentum, placing it into one extremely focused kick, directed towards a pressure point on her neck, that would either deal severe injury, or knock her unconscious on contact.
