Hitsugaya looked at her with a smile, then the sunset and said, " Beautiful, isn't it?." Knowing that she couldn't see the sunset, but that wasn't what he was talking about. ' I mean really?! That would just scare me if I guy stared in my face!))

Kurai smiled tentatively, enjoying the feeling of smooth flight on Hitsugaya's wings. She was pleasantly suprised at this power, and she reveled in the passing currents of air that plucked at her unruly hair.
She instinctively turned her face to the sun, staring unseeingly into its last dying rays. They picked out the blush of her skin and the rich ocher of her clouded eyes that shone like muted chips of gold.
She had a sense of the spectacle before her, but she always had trouble with tones of light. She turned back to Hitsugaya, aware this his eyes rested not on the sunset but on her. "I wish I could see," She said with a small smile. "I wish I could see the sunset...I wish I could see--" You. She didn't say it aloud.

Hitsugaya frowned at the mention of her inability of her not being able to see. He couldn't imagine the pain that she could have possibly felt at the moment. "Kurai, your presence...in any form comforts me... It's kind of... strange to say. But when I'm not around you I feel... lost. Like i've lost something. You know that satisfied and happy feeling you get when you find it? I feel that around you... but so much more intense."
The last words she spoke made his heart race faster than he ever imagined. He smiled, knowing what she was about to say. He thought about an idea for a moment and decided to give it a try.
"You said you can only see auras correct? So, If I focus a large, but FOCUSED amount of reiatsu to my face...will you be able to see it?" He gently took her hands and placed it on his cheek as well, "And if that doesn't work, you can feel my face and try to see it!" He said enthusiastically.

"Don't," She laughed as Hitsugaya suggested he concentrate reiatsu in his face. "You'll burn yourself and singe your eyebrows off--"
She stopped abruptly as Hitsugaya took her hand and placed it gently on his cheek. She caught her breath sharply and snatched her hand away, as though she had been burned.
With a pained expression, she folded her arms, locking her hands against her ribs. She wasn't angry at Hitsugaya, but angry at herself. She was shocked by the intensity of her own feelings. They were almost overwhelming.
"I can't," Kurai finally choaked out. "I--Shiro-kun..I'm not...good for you,"
She lept recklessly from the broad branch and hurtled off in the direction of Squad 13. Towards her family. Where things made sense.
And she had wanted to touch him.
[didn't think it would be that easy, did you? let me explain: Kurai sucks at relationships. She doesn't really understand love, so when her every instinct is screaming that she loves Shiro, she gets scared. it's a new emotion for her.]

Hitsugaya stared off at the dying sun in its last moments. The warmth of the rays comforted him somewhat. He was confused on what happened, what he did. What did he do that made her do such a thing? Debating whether or not to run after her.
Thoughts began to multiply in his mind whether or not she even liked him. His doubts brought along a pain that pierced his chest. At the moment, he felt as if he would have died from the pain residing in his chest. I--Shiro-kun..I'm not...good for you, echoed in his mind continuously. "Not good for me..." Translation: You're not my type Shiro-kun He thought to himself quietly. At the moment he was thinking completely irrationally and jumped to conclusions.
The sun finally died as the stars began to peek out slowly into the night. He formed his wings again and began to glide down. Hitting the ground with a soft Thud He began walking out of the grounds, giving the Clan house one last look before he continued walking. "Some luck..." He whispered.
((OUCH! Hahaha Kurai might as well have stabbed Hitsugaya in the heart. It would've been easier on him hahaha. Though, you can't expect her acts to cause him to have doubts can you?))
