A tear rolled down Ceon's cheek as Gabriel's tiny puppy teeth sank into his arm. Blood began to trickle, "So, it's gotten to the point where he doesn't even recognize me.......I'll take it that he answered for you. I guess you never even took the time to tell him about me........."

Layna whined softly, reaching forward to gently grab the wolf pup that was latched onto Ceon's arm. "Let go, Gabriel..." She whispered softly. He let out a growl, before he let go of Ceon's arm. Layna looked back at Ceon, her face a mess as she fought not to cry or yell in anger at his question. "What did you expect me to tell him? That his father had gone and been stupid to fight a Demon and get himself killed?"

Ceon was hurt by this. She acted like fighting Daiguren was all he did. "First of all, I'm not dead," he said as he put Layna's hand to his beating heart, "and you could have told him how I loved you both very much, and that I almost gave my life to keep you both safe. That I cared for you both night and day. How I would play with him. What I look like."

Layna's eyes caught a distant look as she felt the heartbeat. She averted her eyes quickly. "You don't realize how much it hurt...to have someone else I gave my heart to die in my arms...and it could have been prevented." She murmured, gasping softly. Gabriel growled, wriggling to get at the person that was bothering her mother and making her cry. Layna stroked the white fur lightly. "He's too young to lose a parent, Ceon. You were gone for a year...and the only one that allowed him to grow as a child should was Razu..." She whispered, looking over at the still figure.

"It could have......I know that. But I was willing to take that risk if it meant gettong rid of a constant threat to you and Gabriel. When you truly love someone, you'll give your life for them. Listen, I don't know why I'm dead. I don't know why I haven't been dead four two undred years. But I do know, and you better make sure that Gabriel knows, that Razu....WILL NEVER... Razu moved as if to step in and defend himself against the verbal abuse but thought better of it. This was something Layna needed to do on her own without pressure from him. Razu took the Gabe from Layna quietly telling him to behave. Razu kept a close eye on Ceon while doing this.

Layna blinked, cringing as Ceon yelled, but looked up at Razu as Gabriel was taken from her arms. Gabriel blinked, rather confused and surprised. He stared at Razu, before he changed back into a child, his grey eyes wide. "Ra Ra!" He said with a giggle. Layna's lips twitched, finding herself unable to move as Ceon still grasped her hands.

Ceon's eyes turned gray as Gabriel called out Razu's name. "You've chosen your path, Layna. Have fun with your new mate. I hope he loves you as much as I did." Ceon's whole body started shaking as he let go of Layna and walked over and put his hand out to shake Razu's, "Congrats........"

Layna slowly withdrew into herself, too surprised for words.Her heart was pounding as she stared at the two, confused. "Wha...?" She whispered softly.

Ceon forced a fake smile as he shook Razu's hand lightly, but then gripped his hand tight, almost crushing Razu's and pulled Razu towards him as he drew his free hand back. With one swift movement, Ceon's fist connected with Razu's face. Ceon bared his teeth, and stormed out the door, giving Layna one last bloodthirsty look.

Razu stummbled back from the pain.Razu set Gabe down and with his free hand Razu reached up and touched his jaw where the fist connected. He howled in pain and fell to his knees. He reached over and from the desk standing next to the door took a pad of paper and a pen. He quickly wrote down tears of pain in his eyes.
'My jaws broken. Layna please heal it?'

Layna quickly made her way forward, her eyes wide with confusion as she took Razu's jaws gently in her palms. She brushed her fingers lightly as she felt the strong innate magic that she had had for as long as she knew. She felt the bones heal, her body and mind concentrated upon the task. When it was completed, she finally felt the tears flow from her eyes. "What...What have I done wrong..?" She whispered softly.

Razu shook his head whiping his face with the edge of a sleeve,"Not your fault. I was the one who stepped into the trap. I knew it was coming because no way was he going to give up that easily." He reached up and touched his jaw again put this time with no pain. He scowled,"That hurt more then when I was stabbed a few minutes ago." Razu paused and softly almost regretfully,"I guess I wasn't myself then either, though."

She pressed her face into Razu's shoulder, feeling her heart sink. She closed her eyes for a moment, her hackles raising to full at the look that had been given to her by the person who she had once called her lover, her mate, and father to her son. Grabbing at the ring on her finger, she yanked it off and threw it across the room, not caring where it landed, before she turned her eyes back to Razu. She kissed his cheek lightly, feeling everything slowly fall back into place. But one thought crossed her mind... I'll kill Ceon if he ever lays a hand on me or my son ever again....
