"Not so fast, Aya!" Sam exclaimed as he ran to catch up to his new acquaintance, his two-tone hair bouncing in perfect synch with his leaping stride. As he passed Aya, he turned on his heel to face her and grinned slyly. "Come on, slowpoke!" With that, Sam twirled around again and continued racing for the cafeteria, seeing Lite fly overhead and thinking, He cheated, the little fink! Of course, if flying was against the rules, I should have said so. The boy reached the doors just in time to see Lite sit down. He walked at a much slower pace, trying to conserve energy (he hadn't run like that in quite a while), and took a seat across from his new friend. Still attempting to catch his breath, Sam managed to say, "Wow, I thought I... had that race won. I... should've told you... that flying was... against the rules." He leaned back in his chair. "Heh, if Amy could see me now..."

Erin nodded, sighing. "Yes, it's the mutation that causes the change, since about a year ago. I can't control when the changes happen... sometimes it's random, and sometimes it's when I'm particularly stressed. It happened earlier today, though you don't remember, which is why I'm different than whatever you might remember about me."

Well, that was step one; convince a complete stranger that this was all even remotely possible. Somehow it didn't make the second step any easier. "As that being ironic, my power changes with my... form. When I'm Erin, as I am now, everybody remembers absolutely everything about me. What I say, how I look... everything. When I'm Aaron, as you vaguely remember me, it's the opposite. People will remember nothing about me. How I look, what I say, what I do... anything involving me enough will either be really blurry or erased completly, if it can be. Something small, like seeing me, goes away almost instantly. Talking to me, tripping over me... those things can take longer, but the memories are co mpletly erased during any form of unconsciousness. You'll even forget that I talked about it because it has to do with me as a guy, and not me as I am now. You'll probably remember that I'm also someone else, but you won't remember who that someone else is..."

Erin looked down at her feet, or up at the posters; basically anywhere but at Arkell, not wanting to see the face of someone else who knew the scope of the problem, only to be as clueless as anybody else tomorrow. Just as much a stranger as anybody, the memories of their interactions hers alone to have without being able to share them. She took a deeper breath, keeping this shoved nicely beneath the surface as she had for some time, and forced herself to look back at her firey friend.

Lite looked from Bear to Sam, then to the line, then back to Sam. "Oh, dude! Before I forget, meet my new friend Bear!" He showed Sam the gecko confidently. "Now I've got a partner in crime, right? I'm Smokey and he's the Bear. Maybe I should have gone with that American classic Smokey and the Bandit, but oh well. Bear is Bear and he's my best friend, ever, since like, a minute ago. Don't tell anyone, but Bear is a super spy from Guatemala! He's seen the cocaine plantations in Colombia and is here to debrief the Man. Haha! Did I tell you about that one time, where I caught a fish with just a plant stem? It was awesome." Lite put Bear back on his shoulder as if he was a parrot.

Feeling remarkably hungry, Lite caused several items from the buffet-like line to levitate and come towards him. "Hey, you want some? I ate like half an hour ago, but I'm super hungry. You should have some, Sam!" He offered whatever he grabbed first, a sandwich in Sam's direction.

"Thanks..." Aki heard herself mumble, though she would've moved once they got closer if they didn't look like they were going to go around her. "Where we were before work for ya?" she asked, sipping at her water. I wonder if they'd let us go in the water... she thought, knowing it would probably be freezing. Perfect.

Laying back, he scanned his surroundings. His room featured the basics, 2 beds, 2 dressers, 2 nightstands, 1 clock, 1 desk, 1 bathroom, and a window that took up the upper half of the outer wall. Since most of the rooms were located around the perimeter of the dome, they had curved outer walls. Though this made for a rather strange accomodation, it was also delightfully unqiue.

He sat up and began to unpack his things, sliding his suitcase and pack under his bed when he had finished. Once again skimming the slip of paper, he wondered about the name printed on it. Hmm... Huilliame De Corbeau, my roommate for his semester... I wonder when he'll arrive.

He looked at the clock, only to realize that it was nearing lunch time. Exiting his room, he quickly descended to the main floor of Multis. The main hall was a comfortable area, featuring several couches strewn about with televisions set up on stout tables. The walls of this area were composed of glass panes. The higher panes were clear, while the lower panes were frosted. This area was co-ed, but there were two sets of stairs going up to the second floor. One side was reserved for each gender. A narrow-eyed old lady sat at a desk, positioned squarely between the two stairwells.

Matthew Parker exited Multis and walked along the path to the cafeteria. Though there were few students on campus in comparison to how many would be, there seemed to be a veritable flock gravitating toward the cafeteria. He entered the mess hall to find the vast space primarily empty. The buffet-style serving lines were emitting thin steam and warm glow due to the heat lamps above every dish. Matthew grabbed a plate and positioned himself in one of the food lines. As he did, he noticed several globs of food hovering away from their bins. As he turned to follow the various mounds of nutrition, he saw who he assumed was the student performing the food-floating act. he shook his head with a smirk as he turned back around.

Terra looked up when the music stopped. The girl had finally noticed her. She shut her book without marking the page. She stood up and headed towards the girl. “Wait.” Terra said the word softly, but she made them sound loud enough to be considered a shout. She moved awkwardly through the small space in between rows of seats.

“I’m sorry if I embarrassed you; I didn’t mean to intrude but your piano playing was lovely, and I thought it’d be okay if I just snuck in and read” She said once she had reached the girl. “Anyway I’m really sorry, I’ll make it up to you somehow, or I could just leave you alone.” She meant for the last part to be a joke, but it didn’t come out sounding like one.

(( It still makes sense? That's why she didn't interact with Sam after she got to the doors. I had already suspected she would lose, so I pretended that he was there, she just walked in after. *shakes head at self* I'll edit it for you! Sorry! ^.^))

Aya sat down next to Sam and began eating her apple. Hearing Lite's story, she burst into laughter. She sucked in air a bit too fast, causing her to snort. She immediately put a hand over her mouth and a red tint coated her cheeks, though she finished laughing for a few more seconds before finally becoming silent.
"I'm sorry." she said, muffled by her hand.

"Oh... no, no... I am not offended..." Marie's voice was soft, slow, and controled to be monotone-like. "I'm very very much pleased you enjoyed it." she smiled brightly with a bit of pride. "It was good you were here and made me realize to stop before I got carried away," Marie laughed trying to be nonchalant and keep her voice controlled.

“My name is Marie…” she happened to glance down in a bit of shyness, and frustration. She hadn’t spoken so much in a long time because it took some much concentration, but she was greatly excited to be conversing at the same time. “Hamlet… a fan or schoolwork? No one really reads Shakespeare for fun… except us theatre people,” Marie attempt to make a light remark with her controlled words.

Alwyn began to make her way up the stairs of Multis dorm anyone walking by would see the odd sight of two bags floating up the stair as if they were by themselves. Unfortunately Alwyn had given in and gained her courage by becoming fully invisible. She soon arrived at her room and set her things down next to what appeared to be an empty bed she hoped it hadn't been claimed by her room mate yet. she then made her way back downstairs not even bothering to unpack her things. her stomach had other ideas as she made her way to the cafeteria.

She was fully visible now just because she new that if anyone saw a plate floating she might scare someone. She got her food and made her way to a table. then sat down stiffly and looked at her food. She was hungry but was to self conscious to actually eat. She took a big breath and began to eat looking at the other people around her as she did so.

Arkell wasn't looking at Erin while she spoke, so she didn't notice that she wasn't looking at her either. She sat with her diary open her pen flying across the paper. Apparently she was taking notes ever since Erin said that she would end up forgetting entirely any interaction or mention of Aaron. When Erin finally stopped to take a breather from her explanation, Arkell looked up and smiled brightly at her when Erin's eyes finally did swing around to meet her. Arkell could tell from the looks on her face that she didn't take well to her situation. Arkell could understand. It probably hadn't been easy on her, and Arkell began to assume that she had probably been a guy her entire life until this point.

"What if I took notes? Yes, I would end up forgetting what actually happened when you were around as a guy, but maybe if I took notes on the conversations and stuff I would at least know what happened and why I couldn't remember parts of my day the next morning. Would that work?" She gave Erin an encouraging smile and was beginning to agree with her that she probably was a bit stubborn, but she wanted a friend, and Erin would probably appreciate the fact that she was going to try and get around her powers to still be friends with her even when she was a guy. If Erin happened to glance at her open diary she would see that all of the things she had been writing seemed to be in a different langauge that wasn't human based in any visual sense.

Terra let out a small sigh relief. She had assumed Marie would be upset because that’s how she’d react. “I’m Terra.” She said before looking down at her book, “As for the book, my parents made me promise to read it while I was away. I read a lot and there always telling me that I should be reading classics. I guess I should be reading them, but some of them are so drawn out that they make the climax seem dull.”

“Or maybe the books only seem dull to me because I don’t have the patience to read them.” She gave a small shrug. She was surprised she hadn’t said something to make herself look stupid yet, or maybe she had and she didn’t notice it. “So you’re into theatre and all that stuff? I personally lack the creativity or skill; the best acting I can do is keeping a straight face.” She said, trying to continue to make light of the conversation.

“Oh ho… I see and I appre…ciate your talent indeed,” Marie blushed a bit and the troubled word, “Well, if you need help, or just a shorter version, I could totally summa…rize it for you. But yes, I do a lot of theatre and music.

“I suppose I should leave you with your book, unless you would like to get something to eat. What dorms do you live in?” Marie checked her sandals to be on correctly. “I could play for you again another time if you would like that. Perhaps, the reading would not be so agonizing,” she made her way toward the doors a bit before turning around for a reply.

Logan listened to the mumbled words he could make out from next door before sighing and deciding it wasn't a good idea to eavesdrop. He lay back on his bed and closed his eyes to nap, but was soon startled awake by a voice heard from a speaker from the ceiling in his room.

"Good Afternoon, Students!" a cheerful female voice rang throughout the schools, even managing to reach those outside and frolicking about the forests, the fields, and the beach. "Now that this is the start of a new year, some of you know what this call is for. Many of you, however, will have never heard this before. Get used to it, as it will be used at least once a month to make sure everyone is on track of things." the voice paused for a moment, as if making sure it had everyones' attention.

"The Student Meeting will be in Fifteen Minutes. That should be an ample amount of time to finish up meeting up with people, raiding the cafeteria, or saying hello to our island locals. I'm speaking of the Geckos, of course. Just remember, they live here, as we do, so please be kind to them." A smile was given, though not anyone could see it through the sound waves.

"Please report to the Auditorium within that amount of time so we can get started. It is located in the upper floor of our Cafeteria building, for those of you who haven't had the chance to explore our campus, yet. I have a surprise for you all that you may or may not appreciate. See you all very soon!" The sound cut off, and the school was left to do as directed, and work on getting to the Auditorium.

Logan blinked, and then sighed. More people, and a surprise? What could the headmistress be planning? Shifting off his bed, he stretched and put his art supplies away before leaving his room. He looked over to Erin's door for a moment, before shaking his head slightly and heading off for the Auditorium. It was on the other side of the island, and campus in respect, but he could stroll there and make it in time for the meeting.

As he walked, Logan spied several adults talking and smiling as they headed for the Auditorium as well. The Student Meetings were mainly to inform the students of things to come, and to also let the Island staff know what was up. The staff themselves also sometimes made announcements, like academic achievements and such. Logan was glad they came, because it meant he could stand off to the side, away from the Auditorium chairs that so many people sat in, that so many people left memories in, intentionally or not.

Shoving his gloved hands into his pockets, Logan trailed along the sidelines of the flood of students slowly gathering to head to the appointed room.
