Izumi stayed her place inside her boat for a bit longer before spotting a figure coming towards her position. She couldn't tell at the moment if it was male or female, her eyes were blurr too much for her to keep staring. So she looked ahead, towards what little she could see of the buildings. She sighed slightly, wondering when exactly she should start on her pact with herself. It would mean she'd need to get up from her position in the boat and begin to look around. She could see the figure nearing ever closer to the boat she sat in, and it was beginning to make her a bit weary as to whether the person would yell that she'd need to leave this place, or greet her pleasently. She would much rather have the later of the two choices at this point. A welcoming would be so much more inviting and it would also mean she'd be able to perhaps stay on this island rather than having to shove off and search for another place. Her stomach growled lightly as she realized she hadn't eaten since she'd set off from Haha island. What a sad little girl...

The shivering child turned her blue eyes so they set on the,now for sure, figure of a man. The baby blue orbs of her's immidiately were drawn to the magnificent shade of purple of his. He didn't seem too much older than her and she momentarily forgot to be polite enough to introduce herself. Izumi found it hard to speak as she gaped over the man, realizing he would tower over her, so much smaller, frame. She wasn't aware he had begun to speak for a split moment, but she soon caught on to what it was he was saying. Student dorms? Roommate? Academy? What was this man speaking of? She'd only just arrived on this strange land's shore yet he expects her to begin studying for some unknown reason? His words were sweet and to the point, something that, at this particular moment, was definetly not what the confused girl needed. She stumbled from the boat and stood before, well, more below, him. Izumi bowed in respect to the older boy before giving off a charming smile. "Hello. Where exactly am I? I've a bit sorry to admit...but I've been in this boat for so long that I really have no idea where exactly it is I have landed...You called this place...Shima...gakure, correct?" The slightly nervous child spoke in a tender voice, yet a hint of hesitation could be heard as she him of her position.

Kairo blinked, not understanding quite why this young female had questioned him. He had told her what she....ah. She had not come here intentionally to become a student. With a coy smile, Kaito returned her bow, though not as pronounced. "Aye, this is the island village of Shimagakure, recently victorious over the Rice Country's Orochi village. Are you merely traveling on a whim, or do you desire to become one of the island's shinobi?" Most people, elsewhere, would probably have taken the time to ask the girl just how long she'd been on the boat. Kaito neither cared nor wanted to know - Shimagakure was a long ways from anywhere, so any boat ride would seem long to anyone. The snow, too, was a factor in how quickly he wanted to get back to his own little hut. Pointing again towards the buildings in the distance, he asked her, "Do you wish to find a dorm, or do you wish to scavenge around the village before finding a place? And what is your name?" Kaito knew that sometimes clan members had already landed on the island, so perhaps this girl had some family. Though, the only person he'd seen with such dark hair was the Meho warlord, and this little girl certainly did not seem as vicious as Meho Dhan.

Izumi waited patiently for the male to respond. "Orochi...?" Izumi couldn't recall ever hearing of such a village before. Perhaps it was a bit further from Haha island than this place, and that would be the reason? Nobody had ever told her of the area around Haha Island before so she wouldn't know much of anything about the geography in this place. The way the man had told her of this place being the victor in some sort of war, she was guessing, it must have been a glorious battle. Izumi only hoped that it was solved peacefully, without anyone getting hurt or killed. It truly was a sad thing when someone got hurt over something so little as where a country's boundry lie, or if something was stolen. All that would need to be done is calmly speak to the other village about the problem and solve it in a matter of intelligence, not strength. it then became appearent to her that he had asked her a question and she hurridly answered him so it wouldn't seem like she hadn't been paying attention at all. "Neither really. I was cast out from my home and here I landed." Her answer was a just as pleasent as if she had told him she'd just eaten a piece of sweet flavoured pie.

Traveling around from place to place didn't really seem like something Izumi would really be interested in doing. And in thinking about the matter, she wasn't really aware of what a 'shinobi' was either. She'd been told they were great fighters, just like her people, but in a much different way. She'd also learned from one of the criminals that inhabited the island that they used something called 'chi' or 'chakra' in order to do great things, but she'd never been able to ask more than that. He had hit her upside the head with a pole he had and told her to beat it. Izumi then thought for a moment on whether finding something herself along the way, or being shown the place would be better for her. "I think I can find the place on my own." Izumi flashed a smile, revealing brilliant white teeth that seemed amazingly straight for someone her age. "Oh! I'm sorry! I never introduced myself. My name is Meho, Izumi. Nice to meet you Kaito-sama." Izumi once again bowed before straightening and lacing her fingers through eachother in front of her and holding them before her body. A gentle gesture, and one of little importance, but it seemed to show a bit of her embarrassed feeling. Subconciously putting her hands before her as a barrier between her and this man so he couldn't sense her embarrassment.

Kaito's brows shot up, and he gave a half smile. "Meho...you seem the polar opposite of your warlord, who resides here as well. Or at least, he seems to have no choice in the matter. His twin sister was around here too, that odd Jio woman. In any case, Meho Dhan-san can be found further down the beach, if he hasn't moved from his spot yet." Kaito reached out and placed his hand gently on the girl's shoulder, his smile lovely and absolutely kind. "I think the villagers will take kindly to you, especially since you carry no heavy weapons like the Meho warlord. I wish you luck and a long stay on Shimagakure," he ended politely, turning and waiting for her to leave before heading off himself. Her little boat would go nowhere, and Kaito got the strange feeling that Dhan was somewhere nearby....and Kaito was not the type of person who wouldn't mind talking to the man, sharp teeth and all that jazz. Had he gotten his sword back from Hammus? Hopefully not...with luck, the blacksmith would never return the blade. Funny, how Kaito pretty much knew everything that happened in the village...but then, he lived there, and always collected gossip and rumors, tidbits of information and news from the shinobi on a daily basis. There was no reason he shouldn't know about all that happened.

Izumi laughed nervously as he spoke of seeming different from another Meho that lived on the island. The Warlord... Izumi sighed when she thought about furthering being a thorn in her clan's side. It would merely be another strike against her. Sister? Izumi was becoming more and more confused by the second. Their Warlord was a known Meho, yet his TWIN sister was of the Jio? She froze when he had relinquished the information of being only down the beach from the older, and surely strong, Dhan. The fragile girl took in a sharp breath when she felt Kaito's hand against her bare shoulder. Her eyes were a little wide in shock before taking in his words completely. Giving him a soft, sweet smile, she tilted her head to the side ever so slightly and spoke, "Thank you very much. You were a great help to me. And I hope to see you again, sir." She then took a step away from him and started running happily towards the village. She then suddenly turned and bowed again to him, "Also, I don't believe I'll be willingly visiting Dhan-sama...I'm sure it would end up being a worse meeting than the goodbye I recieved from my clan. Anyway, goodbye for now!"

She waved before turning on her heel and taking off towards the village. Izumi wondered where it should be that she went first, but soon her curiosity of what it was the Academy had to offer in studies. She hadn't been taught much of anything other than fighting back on the island so learning things here would be fun! Looking at the area she was now, and thinking about what the man from before had told her, she started to walk off towards the Academy. Hopefully having made the correct direction decision. Though the girl didn't get very much further before falling face first into the ground. Izumi sat up and rubbed the dirt from her face and standing up, happily dusting her knees off and starting to continue on her way. Clumsiness was just another small quirk for this very strange Meho child.

[Enter from Kage's Office]

As soon as he reached the shoreline, Sukotto found a clear patch of snow and set down the fruit that he had retrieved from the center of the village. He had made sure to keep a brisk walking pace from the Kage's office to the fruit stand and then finally to the beach so that his legs would warm. In the chilled temperatures of the winter, muscles tended to be stiff and very susceptible to injury. At least, that was what he had read in a medical book in the library so he thought it best to follow its instructions and warm up a bit before training. Before too long, Sukotto began to stride out at medium speed, hoping to warm a little more before all-out sprinting. He thought of what had happened prior to leaving the office. The Uchiha had no idea what that strange voice could have been, but he figured that it had something to do with his eyes changing into such a peculiar and brilliant color.

Izumi silently strolled onto the lightly snow covered area of the beach. She turned and headed towards the part of the beach that she'd left the boat at. It couldn't have been too far from the place she was at now, could it? The young girl's blue eyes turned to face the ocean, trying to remember if she was heading the right way or not. This was only her second time outside in this village. And the Academy place that she had been at only minutes ago wasn't very eventful other than a random boy crash landing into the room and the surprisingly nice fire haired man that threw Shisei into the bookshelf. Izumi decided to head off in a certain way and quickly came upon the hand carved boat she'd placed a few feet up on the shore. She walked up to it briskly before shivering, the icy air became ever more chilly as she got closer to the freezing waters. She grabbed the boat and easily hulled the thing further up on shore to keep it completely out of reach of the surf that would surely get higher by the time night fell upon this strange village. Perhaps she should sleep in the boat that night? It would be the only true place she'd be able to have any sort of protection from the elements, and with what little the child had on, it would be the only thing keeping her from freezing to death in her sleep.

As his feet kicked up patches of snow along the water's edge, Sukotto noticed the small and shivering frame of a girl. She appeared to be quite under dressed for the weather and as he approached, the Uchiha realized that he didn't recognize her at all. Considering the diversity of the island, he wasn't surprised that another newcomer had somehow wandered to its shores. Deciding that he had brought more than enough food for himself, he quickly jogged back to where he had laid out the fruit and grabbed a couple of pieces, along with a few small branches from a nearby tree. He made his way over to the girl, exgerated the noise in his footsteps so that he wouldn't startle her, and hunched over behind her. Before long, he had the twigs set up neatly next to each other and one of his hands pressed to the side of his mouth, shielding his lips from the cold wind. He took a deep breath and exhaled a thin flame that immediately ignited the assortment of vegetation. The Uchiha then simply left the fruit he had brought over near the fire so the girl could clearly see where they were. Without so much as a word, he rose to his feet and jogged off, continuing his training.

Izumi leaned over the boat's edge and looked at the inside to see if anything had really been damaged yet, and the answer was clear, no. It hadn't been sitting there long enough to really be damaged by anything. She flipped it over so the bottom was now facing upwards. It would keep the snow from settling inside the boat. It was then the sound of heavy footsteps could be heard from behind her. She turned her head and saw an older boy who seemed to create fire from his mouth. The child's blue orbs followed his body as he moved to leave the fruits by the fire. She smiled to him warmly as she took a step forward. He had then taken off, leaving her with the fire and food. Izumi would have been tempted to take off after him and ask why he was so kind to her, but her hunger and freezing body was taking its toll on her too badly for her to ignore. She knelt beside the fire, letting her small hands hover over the warmth and let the blood flow regulate as it was supposed to. When she felt her fingers were warm enough she sat so that her feet could feel the warmth as well as she reached for one of the fruits the kind older boy had left. She bit into it and winced a bit. It defintely didn't have the great flavour of meat, but it was good. Defintely good enough for a near starving teenager. With her gentle frame, the food he left would be enough to last her through the night. Izumi never ate that much anyway. When she had finished eating, she moved over to the overturned boat and hid away the fruits she hadn't bitten into. Her eyes then turned to the figure of the guy who had helped her. Should she follow after?

As he continued to train, Sukotto could feel his body grow quite weak. Unfortunately, helping the girl took away most of the already small supply of energy that he had left. However, the Uchiha would continue to run in spite of this. He had no time to be regaining chakra while he didn't have the immediate need to. The teen was far too eager to get his exercising done so that he could focus on learning the taijutsu and be that much closer to finding a way to get rid of the negative feelings that had taken hold of his heart. However, Sukotto figured that it would be best to keep those feelings out of his mind for the time being to reduce the chance of awakening them yet again. He distracted himself by thinking about the girl that he had helped. She must have thought him crazy to have helped her without so much as a greeting to accompany the tidings. A small smile curled his lips at the thought of his own personality. Sukotto had the same warmth within his body as Ichi once had, but he was far less charismatic. The Uchiha hoped that one day he would be able to be half of the leader that Ichi had been.

The tiny bodied child moved closer towards the fire, thinking that if she followed him, he'd end up thinking she was a stalker of some sorts. Besides, he was running and at the speed he was going, it would take a bit to actually catch up to him seeing as how he's had quite a bit of time to get ahead of her. With a sigh, Izumi's gentle smile returned to her dark skinned face and the Meho girl brought her legs up to her body and wrapped her arms around them to keep them there. She let her chin rest against the top of her knees as she looked out towards the waters. At least she had food and shelter for the night in this place. Even if it was only a boat and a nice man's fruit. It was good enough for her, though. She had what would do her for the night. As much as she knew she should return back to the Academy, the fire was too warm for the child to leave. Izumi closed her eyes to think of how angry the fire haired man would be when he realized she had left. Along with the thought of how angry her own father would be if he knew what sort of things she'd be resorting to sleeping in. The thoughts made the girl shudder, but this time not from the cold, but slight fright. Reopening her eyes, she then let them drift towards the boat that now held the fruit. She wondered how long they would stay fresh in the cold like this. Probably a bit longer than if they were to stay in the heat. Rubbing her legs slightly, the child realized that her body had completely defrosted and seemed to be back up to speed. Even so, following the nice boy would be out of the question.

"Aw youth." He finally encountered life on this little island, and it came from ocean? maybe there was some holiday and everyone went to the mainland... why would people LEAVE an island for a holiday? Wouldn't this be the ideal location for a vacation?

Now this girl... Kenichi always loved beign around children. They were so... trusting. It didn't take the most alert mind to determine that the girl seemed lost in this setting, but Kenichi was far from a fool. He kept a safe distance from any warm body, despite his earlier desire to make a scene. making an instance was pointless if there was someone around to warn of his approach. This girl, on the other hand, could be useful...

He slipped out from the rocks and light blanket of snow he let collect on his back. The strange guy running around might be trouble, so drawing her attention was better than approaching her. With a child's attention span, simply standing there like a statue would probably be enough...

Izumi had closed her eyes once more, enjoying the warmth of the air the fire let drift over her small body. Something seemed a bit off in the area around her but she paid little mind to it. Her angry stomach had been soothed and she was content. Opening her eyes, she leaned forwards a bit, the beads against her midsection jingled lightly before she stood. Her 4'10'' hight only made her seem even tinier as she stood next to the ocean. The blue of her eyes seemed to be clearer than even the sunniest and brightest of skies on the lovliest of days. She brushed off what little snow clung to her body and looked down at the fire. As horribly as she'd hate to leave her position before thanking the strange boy who helped her, she knew she should return to the Academy before the fire haired man that was teaching noticed she had been gone for long. Turning her body away from the fire the form of an older man came immidiately into view. Izumi looked for a second, taking in the oddity of him. Then, her usual gentle smile took its place on her dark skinned face. She took a few steps forward, making sure to keep a reasonable distance between herself and the strange man. "Hello, Sir," she said with a deep, polite bow. Straighting herself, the beads once more faintly made themselves known as they hit against her surprisingly hard, camoflauged abs.

"Sir? my my my." Kenichi spoke with a slight hint of an accent, letting his feed glide over the ground as he made a bit of an arc, as if sweeping around some invisible field around the girl.

"I dare say I am not old enough to be refered to by such. Please..." What image would be most pleasing to this girl... His thoughts and his words acted of two different courses almost simultaneously. He had rehersed clever and soothing things to say to the point that he could speak them without thinking, or continuing a nearly opposite train of thought.

"If you could be of some help to me, I would greatly appreciate it." Kenichi changed direction, and although it was impossible to tell from such a distance, but he was drawing closer with each step. It was almost a dance, becoming more playful by the second. He soon stopped and placed his hands together while he took a bow, but this served a purpose other than to great the girl.

After the handseal was made, Kenichi made another quick movement, this time stepping forward, his right hand starting to remove his mask.

"My name is Kenichi. Could you tell me who's in charge of this village?" The scarf fell with the mask, both cradled in the man's right arm, his long brown hair falling down over his shoulders. He chose a light skin color, something soothing to the eyes with this background.

Izumi's gentle eyes kept their sights on the strange older man. Though he didn't sound like an old man, he still sounded older to some degree. She'd always been taught to keep her eyes on a person who you were talking to, but not only in case of an attack. Izumi had also found that it was the polite thing to do. As he made his way around her position, her eyes followed. The hair that rolled down the child's back shifted as well when her head would turn. He seemed a bit odd, but nothing she wasn't used to. And he needed help too! Sadly, she didn't know anything that would be of any assistance to him. She took a step back from him when he bowed, he seemed to be getting slightly too close for her comfort. But the young girl's smile never wavered. When he returned to his errect position, and removed his mask to ask his question, she tilted her head a bit. "I'm sorry, Sir-um...Kenichi-sama...But I've only just arrived to this land. I'm afraid not even I know who is the leader of this place." She bowed in appology and a slight bit of sadness overtook her soft features. Izumi shifted her small body weight onto her right leg while letting her fingers lace together in front of her body. She was sad she couldn't help the man with what it was he needed, but perhaps she'd be able to help him in some other way, or perhaps keep him company. As it seemed, he had nobody with him and she was sure he must have been lonely if he traveled to this place all by himself. But Izumi didn't want to impose on him if he were just looking for information and would be going about his way, so she kept her tongue and merely looked at the man. He seemed so light skinned... especially next to her chocolate colored being. It was odd for the girl to be around nobody who had the same color skin as she was, but it would be something she'd need to get used to quickly if she were to stay here for any real length of time.
