Nefir scowled his most ferocious scowl and peered down his nose at Shimofuri. "Are you not listening to me, you ghastly apparition? I am a king, and this is my gold, and I shall take it regardless, you pesky poltergeist, you sneaky spectre, you......you...spooky spook!" >=D

Shimofuri leaned in slightly closer as she ran her other arm up from Nefirs chest to his chin. From under the mask she glared and made her voice ring with a sort of eerie tone. "Hey boy, you think you cn talk that way to me?" she whispered, leaning in even closer.

Nefir drew himself up proud while trying to look semi-flustered. "You dare to touch his royal person? No matter that you are a ghost and your touch counts for nothing, although I have heard of some ghosts being all cold and icy, and maybe a few really hot ones, though I don't know how they can be hot when they don't have any substance to get hot....uhh....where was I going with this?" XD

Shimofuri stood upright, and shrugged as she looked at Nefir. "I don't really know, I was just kinda going with the idea," she admitted as she laughed to herself. "Besides, even us ghosts can't read minds, and you never told me where you were going with it."

Nefir snickered at his own goofiness and shrugged. "Oh well. Besides, a king shouldn't have to explain hisself, so there!" He stuck out his tongue and then crouched down and began making a little castle out of a pile of gold coins.

Shimofuri gasped as she lifted the mask off of her face, and put it on top of her head in a sort of awkward position. "You'd never believe how hot it gets under there," she said as she crouched down next to Nefir, and sticking her tongue out in a goofy fashion. She then began to dig some coins out from around where he was building, creating a moat.

Nefir grinned. "I'll bet." He stuck his tongue at her again and finished a tower, placing a little gemstone upside down at the top for the tower's pointy roof. He grinned wider when he saw what Shimofuri was doing and looked around for some sapphires, grabbing a pawful and setting them aside. "These can be the water. And I wonder if we ought to get a bunch of emeralds for the grass...."

Shimofuri giggled as she began to fill in the moat with the sapphires Nefir provided. "Yay, now the moat is filled!" she hummed as she finished putting them all in. "Don't forget to put the flowers in the field too," she said as she looked at him, smiling the whole time, and her tail wagging in the coins behind her.

Nefir grabbed a bunch of emeralds and threw in some various different-colored gems to scatter among the green and make a field of flowers and grass, grinning all the while. "We're just making a whole kingdom out of nothing but jewels. We'll probably end up making little houses and fields for the peasants too. After all, what's a kingdom without peasants?" XD

Shimofuri stood up as she inspected the castle, making sure there wasn't any coins or jewels out of place. When she was satisfied, she turned back to look at Nefir. "I don't think we need peasants, they always end up rioting in the end," she said, before clutching her fists and staring evilly, "No... we need slaves!"

Nefir shrugged, then his face lit up in a rather unpleasant way. "Hey, that's even better! And some minions! Every king...er, and queen too, needs loyal minions!" He looked around wistfully at the piles and piles of treasure. "Too bad we don't have any little golden people......" He suddenly gaped as a small pile of assorted gold and red metal figures appeared in a pile to his left, looking like so many little toy soldiers forgotten in play. He grinned wide and looked around at the cave walls. "That was cool!" He shouted, listening to his voice echo, then he snatched a few of the figures up and began to study them curiously.

Shimofuri smirked and manically laughed as she noticed the small toys appear. "Even the cave knows to fear thyne royalty of King Nefir and Queen Shimofuri!" she yelled up into the cave, the echoes lasting a few seconds before dying down. She went over to where Nefir was and picked up a small golden figurine and sat down. "This one's name is Phiiliep. He is the royal fool of the king and queen," she said, before picking up another and giving it another name and occupation.

Nefir made a strange face and looked around, as though expecting the cave to growl or rain flaming gold chunks upon their heads for mocking it, even if it was all in fun. Seeing no scary reaction from the cave, he shrugged and continued peering intently at one of the red-colored figures. "I can't tell if this red stuff is metal or some kind of jewel. But it's pretty." He selected a few that seemed to be more heavily detailed and prettily crafted and began placing them carefully inside the gold coin palace. "These can be the royal court. And we must find a king and queen; maybe two figures with both red and gold, so they stand out." He looked expectantly at the pile and sure enough, two such figures appeared on top. Oddly enough, the king seemed to favor the gold coloring, and the queen had strange decorations on her robe that looked almost like little sprinkles. Nefir picked them up and showed them to Shimofuri, beaming. "It's as though the cave likes us playing with it!"

Shimofuri nodded as she set down the toys she had in the castle and looked at the two figures Nefir held. "Well, it must enjoy the company. I bet it doesn't get many visitors, considering how hard it was to find this place." she began to set some of the lesser decorated toys on the outside, standing in neat rows. "And these are the royal guards! The will guard the king and queen with their lives."

Nefir smiled and looked rather fondly at the cave's rocky walls. "It must have been pretty lonely, with no one to play in here and admire its treasures. Then again, how many of it's visitors try to make of with more than their fair share? Maybe it made itself harder to find because of that...." He shivered and hoped that he would be able to control himself enough to value his life more than any shiny baubles. Still, his common sense tended to take flight when faced with glitter and shine. He shook off his gathering gloomy thoughts and began counting on his paws. "Lessee, we've got monarchs, people of court, slaves and minions, guards, jester.....who's missing?" He snapped his fingers. "How about knights?"
