Spira jumped, yanking the scissors out of the wall and holding them behind her back, staring down the panel.

Elijah made his way through the streets, his sense of direction as keen as ever. With all the mazes and tunnels of the East, as well as the complicated streets, you got good at finding your way around. He made his way to the office that newcomers checked into, looking up her name. Found.
Now he needed to get to her 'home.'

The panel had covered an area with wiring and components inside, revealing a complexity unheard of in the East.

Spira sighed and stuck the scissors back into the wall, walking over to the spot uncovered now, looking at it with interest. "Oooh, this is complicated. That could be fun." She pondered it for a moment, glancing back at the bot cleaning the room.

The robot continued with it's task, polishing the floors and not noticing the open panel on it's back.

Miroku darted down one hallway, then another. Guards spilled out of every door possible. One appeared in front of her, brandishing a beam rifle. "Halt!" he shouted "Damn Westerners." Miroku muttered. She drew her katana, its silvery blade gleaming in the red alert lights. The guard fired, but the bolt of energy passed through empty space. He blinked, and watched as three feet of pure steel passed into his skull. Miroku pulled the blade out as she passed down the hall. Darting into another hallway, Miroku found this one to have a window at the end. "An exit! Finally!" She breathed. Lowering her shoulder, Miroku leapt through the window amid a cascade of glass and energy bolts. She hit the ground and turned around. Several guards had made it to the front doors, and were running towards her. Miroku raised a single hand and snapped. The entire warehouse exploded as more than five tons of high explosives ignited. Miroku pulled a small scrying glass out of a pouch on her hip. "Lord Xerelos. This is Miroku. Mission complete."

Laughter echoed back from the sphere, "Good Miroku... Jad will most definitely be upset about losing one of his military facilities... When you return to the tower, I have another job for you... one that has need of your skills..."
---
Jad shook his head sadly at the recent report. Building 5 had just gone up after an intruder came in. At least twenty guards died from the intruder, and ten in the following explosion. worse yet, he'd lost a lance of mechs in there too. Most warehouses held his vehicle forces, and the loss of those machines would significantly damage his law-enforcement abilities.
"I need an analysis on the intruder. I need to know weaponry used and which area they came from. Whoever did this is going to pay for their actions..."

"Copy that." Miroku pocketed the scrying glass and checked the skies. Clear. She focused, gathering the winds around her before bolting off towards the southern sector. But she failed to notice the small scout drone that decloaked moments after she had left the warehouse.

Jad leaned back at his glass and metal desk at the picture from the drone. "Gotcha. That's a southerner... Weird, I was epecting one of Xurichner's agents... Xerelos usually goes after Kendris... What is that warlock plotting now?!"
-
Xerelos smiled, so Jad knew now? Fine. a feint like this would start that ancient man thinking, as always, leading Jad to focus on reinforcing the borders with Kendris and tightening security while Xerelos took the one section nobody ever watched... one that would give an advantage to him, and the madman Xurichner. They would take the center sector!

Miroku proceeded through the halls of Xerelos's great tower. She arrived at the door to his "observing room", a spherical chamber where he could gaze upon those who served him or tried to defy him. She knock rapidly on the double doors.

"Enter." Xerelos said, staring at his sphere. in that room, he had more power than anyone could imagine. all his rooms in his tower were siphons of magical energy, just for him.

Miroku entered and knelt before her master. "My Lord, you said you had another misson for me?" She could feel the magic coursing through the room and the man in front of him. One false move, and she wouldn't even be a stain on the floor.

"yes... I take it you know of the forbidden area, the Center sector of our amazing city... the white dome that borders every area of this place? I want you to go there, and take it in my name. There should be.. little difficulty, the only magic users there are a few children, and the technology is near the level of Xurichner's slums." he laughed slightly at the little insult upon the center. Xerelos turned to face her. Do you think you can do that, my child? it will bring us one step closer to conquering the north sector of Lady Kendris...

Miroku eyes widened. The Center Sector? The Forbidden Zone? She'd heard legends about what it contained, but never thought she would ever enter the pearly white dome. "Of course, my Lord." She said, choosing her words carefully, "It will be yours." Her form wavered slightly, and she was gone.

Xerelos grinned, "now Xurichner, I shall succeed where you have failed..." He would leave it to Miroku to find the way into the dome itself, but he was sure that if she thought about it, she'd teleport in...

Miroku stepped cautiously towards the pearly white dome of the center sector. It gave off a slight energy pulse every few seconds, just strong enough to be felt. She ran her hand gently along its surface. It didn't seem to thick, but she wasn't too keen on teleporting through it. Miroku carefully removed a small vial of white gel from her belt. She drew a circle on the dome wall with the gel, then placed her hands on opposite sides of the circle. The circle glowed a light blue, and a hole opened within it. Miroku smiled. It almost too easy. She stepped through the portal, which closed behind her, and looked around. She pulled out her scrying glass. "Lord Xerelos, I have entry."She said "The Center Sector is our...Wait...Oh my God..." There was a brief clang of metal on metal, and then silence. The scrying glass fell out of Miroku's limp hands and shattered on the ground.
