"Thanks," he said, still smiling. He took off his skates and leaned them against the wall of the house on the front porch. Then he stepped inside.
"Cool house." He said conversationally, trying to keep his mind off how good she looked.
"What time's the play?"

"2 o'clock." She smiled, then closed the door behind him. The house was empty, because by some miracle her father and stepmother had left the house.

Tim blinked. He hadn't realized how much time they had. "What do you want to do till then?"
Kero flew into the room, his mouth covered in pudding. "Got any video games?" He said.

"Yes..." Bree looked at Kero. She grinned. "What do you want to play?" She asked Kero, but glanced at Tim. She looked at Tim. "Have you had lunch yet?"

Tim watched him fly up, then turned back to Bree. "Anything'll do."

Tim felt the back of his neck get hot. He irritably batted off any thoughts and said, "Well, how about you tell me about Les Miserable? I've heard the name before but I don't know anything about it."

"Its set just before the French Revolution." She smiled. "Its about a man named Jean Valjean, he's a convict. He breaks his parole, and becomes mayor of a town under an alias. A cop named Javert has been tracking him down." She cooked the food as she talked.
