I hate it when people in band just sit there, not even playing their instrument, looking around like "Pshh I'm too cool for this place." I also can't stand the people that show up every day without their instrument. It just bugs me.
And once, someone came up to me while I was holding my flute case and they said "Hey is that a trumpet?"
I swear to God some people are past the point of retardation. stare
Also, I hate it when the percussionists play dumb songs on the bells thinking they're cool. Theres one guy that plays Crank That Spiderman EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. before band starts, thinking he's the ultimate symbol of cool, and it gets old after a while.
Then this one other kid that plays video game music like Crash Bandicoot and such after band EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. NOBODY WANTS TO HEAR IT!

My Pet Peeves are cell phones and obsessive talking. Also really bad trumpet players that sit right behind me that sound like they need to go back to elementary school.

linkfanatic I hate it when people empty their spit valve ON MY LEG. ON PURPOSE.. empting spit valves on the cold, hard tile floor...i no, a necessity, but still, get a papertowel or something, jeese...

I'm sure everyone has that guy/girl that thinks he is a freekn genius and talks continuously about jazz artists you've never heard of in your life and he talks about how awesome he is and how many girls he has sex with and how his gf doesnt know and tells you that you shouldnt play bari because you know he is better than you and it's not even worth trying out for jazz, so you should just give upm, but when you make bari for jazz and he doesnt he tells people that he feels sorry for you so he let you win this time, and so now you sit next to him and he plays tenor but he sucks at sightreading and doesnt play the first time you get the song and he always shoves his tuner in front of your music that you are trying to read because he thinks you sound sharp even though we just tuned all at the same time to the freekn piano... maybe that just me. but i am sure you have someone similiar.
also, there are ALWAYS those people (they are trumpets here) that are 19 and 20 years old and act like they are in 8th grade, talk incessantly and count their rests out loud like they cant count in their head... but they probly cant because they are stupid. GAH.
one more thing... those people that hate the band teacher cuz "he likes you more than he likes us" and "he picks favorites"... okay, so what? get over it. if you want him to like you, be a nicer person and quit complaining. that the reason he doesnt like you in the first place.
okay. all done. lol. i have been waiting a long time to complain about that first guy...

UGH!! my second chair flute is ALWAYS missing the key signiture!!! ALWAYS! even after the bd says, "a flat flutes!" and she always roles her eyes like she doesnt care!! why cant we just put her in 2nd band!? >.< she plays random stikotoes long! not like she messes up, because the first time its random....the second time she denies it!! *vent* *rave* hmmmm i just realized i had tooth paste on my shirt! blaugh

When your director put his baton up, and goes "1...2....3..."
And instead of 4 and starting the piece...he randomly starts talking about tuning again.
He does it every time.
