She chuckled lightly before walking with him into the crowd of pae. A nice, fast song. That was something new. "Wouldn't be much of a party if we didn't." She took his second hand to lead him into a sort of swing dance.
Yes...a definate...bad feeling. But what could it be? Something akin to the feeling he had upon waking the morn where Cressida had decided to play barber with his hair. Sweet child. He started to move for the buffet table, at least seperating himself from most of the pae. Maybe Erylia was thinking about starting her second half a bit early. Ugh.

Jazz had kinda figured Hyacinthus had just not really like her in that way. It was okay. The elder had been in the situation so many times it was getting to be habit. Though, tonite he was different.
"Sure, I'd like that. I would still love to sing for you. Since it is what I'm good at and most people seem to like it." Jazz did love to sing for everone, even if they might be getting tired of it.
Apollo chuckled. "I guess you are right." The fae then followed along in the swing dance. "This is a fun dance." He told her as he kept up as best he could.

Of course, adora being adora, she didn't notice the way he sized her up. Lucky Christopher. She did however recognize the hoarseness...and then chucked it up to nervousness. Gently the female took his arm, flashing her best smile. "Then lead the way."
She grinned, blushing behind her mask once more. He was adorable, floundering around in his best attempts to keep up. She led him away from the crowd once more. "Come on silly. Let me teach you how to simple swing. Then we can go into the more difficult. First you step forwards like this, with your right leg out..." She stepped forwards, bringing their chests together with their arms extended out to their sides.

(Little known fact: All children, like wolves, can smell fear.)
As soon as their target started moving, Eboraria frantically gave the sign for them to strike. She ran as fast as her little legs would carry her after him. He wouldn't get away that easy in any regard if she had anything to do with it! There was no way that she would let that happen. Catching up, she yanked on his long tail so hard that she was certain that it would make him stop. Maybe that would give Magnus a chance to do something else.
Hyacinthus finally felt that he was righting a mistake. Glancing over his shoulder, he remembered his friend. "I gotta go, but I want to see you again." He took off the gold bracelet he had been wearing. "I want you to keep this. That way, you know that I'll be back. I want to see you before the end of the night, and I want you to save the last dance for me. I'll be back; it won't be like before." Kissing her hand, he dashed off with his face so hot that sweat collected on his brow.
He came back to Texas Pete with a wide grin. "See? I keep my promises."

Jazz took the bracelet and smiled. "Okay, well I'm sure I'll still be here. It was nice daning and talking with you." Jazz told him as he left.
Jazz walked back over to Zoe. "Well, that was interesting." She told her granddaughter with a smile still on her face.
((Also, does anyone know if Umi is coming back? Just wondering.))
Apollo chuckled. "Okay, well you know it's more for fun anyway." He watched and followed what Dayht was telling him. "So, is this better?" He said as she tried what she showed him.

Luna and the children didn't visit their homeland very much. But an announcement was made about a dance being thrown, so she thought it would be a good idea for the two teenagers to interact with their own species.
The two girls looked at their mother and at the decorations that adorned the ballroom.
Isis looked at her guardian. "Will we be here long?"
Nephthys rolled her eyes. "Can we not just enjoy ourselves Isis?" Her sister always had something negative to say.
Luna nodded her head. "Yes. We'll be here for a while."
Isis scrunched her forehead in disdain. She might as well make the best of it then.

Arlie had gotten the invitation, obviously, but she hadn't decided if she was going to go or not. It had been a last minute decision on her part and her outfit showed that. There was nothing fancy about it; she had borrowed the dress from her mother's closet, who had been gone for several months now. She had pulled her hair up haphazardly and pulled a black mask together the night before.
Now she was there, and very alone. It was very uncomfortable for the shy pae. She folded her hands together and looked for anyone that she recognized.

Christopher gulped as he nodded, a bit too quickly though in his mind as he patted her hand that was linked around his arm before he lead her across the first floor, then down the stairs to the basement where the party was being currently held. "Ready?" he asked, before he lead the female into the party, looking around as he blinks nervously.

Well, at least Aysu wasn't the only late one. She reached for another snack as she watched a few more people filter into the room. Perhaps she could talk to one of these people? They all looked like they could be rather interesting. She pursed her lips, deciding to just people watch until she made a decision as to which way to go. Aysu loved being forward, but she didn't want to scare anyone off, and some of the new arrivals looked a bit shy...
As Eboraria stopped Shageki in place, Magnus pounced on him, locking his arms around the man's torso. Then, he began to yank on his hair while screeching like a banshee to make the poor demon's ears and hair hurt. Magnus loved tormenting people, and this one looked particularly fun to torment. "AAAHHIIIIIEEEEEE!!!!"
Texas smiled softly when Hyacinthus returned to him. As much as he didn't like seeing Hyacinthus dance so closely to someone else beside him, he would get over it as much as he could. At least Hyacinthus had returned this time. "You want the jewlery back?" Texas went into his pocket and offered the most valuable item to Hyacinthus, wondering if he wanted it back in his possession now that he had returned.

Arlie could feel a pair of eyes looking over at her; goose-flesh broke out all over her body, feeling the uncomfortable stare of a male pae she didn't recognize. Quickly her dual colored eyes looked for an escape route to just about anywhere, since he was making a bee-line for her direction. She spotted the snack table and what seemed like another lonely pae. It was the perfect opportunity.
And it would've been a cunning plan if she hadn't been so shy.
Without getting too close, Arlie stood near the pae she had spotted at the snack counter. Her hands folded and unfolded nervously. If she didn't say something soon her niceness would force her into dancing with some creep! Ugh!
Swallowing her fear, she let a tiny whisper pass her lips, "Hi."

Luna watched as more Pae's filtered into the room. She let out a sigh of relief. They weren't the only ones to arrive late. "Do you want to go and sit down?" She asked the twins.
Isis looked at all the different Pae's that adorned that room. "Sure." She replied, while still keeping her eyes on the crowd.
Nephthys also watched the different Pae's. Not one was the same. How do they act with eachother? she thought. She was a bit more shy than her sister. Nodding her head, the trio of females went to look for a place to Pae watch.

(Tara, giving you a chance to reply to everything.)
"Umm...." For some reason, it didn't mean as much as it had when he took if off. "You can keep it for now. I still want it back later, like at the end of the party." Taking the jewelry, he put it around Tex's neck. "There," he said, smiling. "It looks better on you anyways."
Taking his friend's hand, he led the adult toward the other group of people. "I really want to find some others like Tristen. Do you think he'd be here?" He was far from his little sister, and in fact hadn't yet realized that she was even missing. The screaming, though, made him jump and look around. What in the world could that be? Was it even something they should worry about? Even as he thought about that, he saw other people coming in. He closed his eyes because he needed to organize his thoughts and not get so overwhelmed by how many people there were which he could meet and find out more about. "...Let's just find Tristen, okay? You know, if here's here. I want to say hi. That's okay, right?"

(( Spooky, is Alicia still free? Is she here in the room? She'd probably have to come up to Aoaka, he's not really the type to put himself forward without reason.
And I'm waiting for Mel to post with Calder... ))
Still at the buffet table, Aoaka watched Debi and Calder talk, and looked around as a few more Pae arrived at the door. He sighed, now practically certain that Pol wasn't coming. A slump of his shoulders indicated his drop in mood.
Well, unless something happened, he'd stay for a bit for Debi's sake, but he didn't want to spend all night here. He didn't know anyone else, and he wasn't sure he felt up to introducing himself to anyone.

((She's just sitting and observing everyone else. I'll have walk up. biggrin ))
Alicia sighed and was bored of watching all the paes she didn't know mingle. She felt a small rumble in her belly and decided to check out the buffet.
She walked up and smiled at the pae that was standing there. "Is there anything good?" She wasn't shy really and wasn't sure what the food was like.

Texas was, admittedly, a bit confused as to why Cinthy was allowing him to keep it. Nevertheless, Texas wouldn't protest it. He touched the choker with care as he followed Hyacinthus, his hand tight in his friend's. Hyacinthus was leading him away from his wall-flower location! Perhaps he wanted to go dance with him? That would be exciting. ...Unfortunately, he soon found out that was not the case at all.
Tristen. The name made Texas's blood boil. He tried to tolerate the man, but the fact that Hyacinthus liked the fae of love not only worried him, but it made him paranoid. What if he was so charming that Hyacinthus would fall for him? What is the fae of love was some kind of player, and he would take advantage of Hyacinthus if he did fall for him? He bit his lip worriedly. "Sure, we can find him." If Hyacinthus was going to find that fae, Texas refused to leave his side for any reason.
Well, it looked like Aysu's plan worked. As she glanced around to find someone to talk with, the rather shy young woman had made her way over to Aysu. She heard the soft voice and shifted her attention to find a very pretty young lady in front of her. A friendly smile spread on the outgoing naiad's face. "Hallo. Nice to meet you." Deciding that being friendly right off the bat was the best bet to get this girl to not be so shy, Aysu offered her hand.
Arlie was free to take it if she wanted, or free to ignore it that made her more comfortable. Either way, Aysu would not take particular offense. "Glad to see I'm not the only one who had arrived late." It seemed that Aysu had noticed Arlie and the elder and twins that had strolled in shortly after her.
