The reason cheerleaders don't like us, is because we can put on a better
show than girls shaking their useless butts and saying: ( this one is from my band game):
LET'S GO BENGALS
TAKE THEM ALL DOWN

GOOOOOOOOOOOO BENGALS
( TOTALLY GAY, i booed them when they were done)

1. They're jealous because our uniforms pwn theirs
2. They know if it weren't for us nobody would cheer with them
3. We can dance better than they can
4. They're all preppy little snots (and none of them are in band where I come from)
We don't really pay any attention to the cheerleaders. The dance team (that doesn't do any cheering, and actually can dance) is more of a problem for us, because their little routine (they only have one that they do for EVERY SINGLE GAME) takes up part of our halftime.

Our cheerleaders are nice to the band, but mostly only with the guys... er... yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah. *cough*sluts*cough*
That, and our band can cheer louder than they will ever be able to(and they get mad if we use any of their cheers). (:

I'm not sure if our cheerleaders hate us but they might have a few reasons too. Our drum major sometimes goes down there and does their cheers with them. we sometimes do their cheers but the color guard does nearly all of them. We do hate our football team though for one reason and one reason alone a few of them(seniors) came up to my section leader(also a senior) and asked her "what is that song the band plays everytime we score?" I think/wish she said "Its your fight song and maybe if you actually score more than once every 2 games you would know it better". needless to say she didn't play at all during that game. oh yeah none of our current band members are cheerleaders.

Well, we don't really have anything against the cheerleaders, our band has more of a vendetta against the pom. Yes, our band has a pom squad. -cringes-
We fought like hell with our BD to get rid of them, but apparently he's more concerned with watching the pom shake their asses than with us looking like a professional marching band and actually getting a pit. neutral
The pom are never prepared and never have their routine ready for pregame, never know how to freeze when at attention, are always talking, etc etc, and it pisses everyone in band off.
As for cheerleaders, though, some of the people in the band are on cheerleading, so we pretty much get along with them.

we have a couple o cheerleaders in band, but for the most part i think they hate us and we don't like them. possibly because: we're the ones seen on TV for doing good (parades) after BB games especially, we get to play first before they do they're dance when we play 'all right now' we play it so fast they almost fall into seizures we can play with no dancers, but they can't dance without us my favorite: we compare them to horse poo

Not all cheerleaders hate us. I know one who would actually rather hang out with us than her cheerleader friends. ^_^ She's awesome. She hangs out in the band room most of the time.

they hate the band because they arent as cool as us,they dont have as much fun as us,and they dont look as good as we do cool

I used to be a cheerleader and the reason that they hate us because they're too stupid to understand that playing an instrument is hard. I had another band geek buddy while I was in cheerleading and they seriously understand nothing about us. There is nothing to fret about in this topic because seriously . . . they're just dumb. Yes, they may think that our uniforms are stupid or they may think something like they're better than we are. it doesn't really matter because everyone is like that flat out. You can't tell me that you don't hate them. There's probably another guild somewhere with a bunch of cheerleaders asking "Why do the band geeks hate us?"
Cheerleading isn't easy and they can put on better shows than we can sometimes and vice versa. They work as hard as we do. It's not easy to get all the motions memorized while shouting correctly (yes there is a correct way to shout). It's not easy to put a girl in the air with one arm. It's not easy to do a round-off, back handspring, back tuck. Cheerleading is not easy and neither is Marching Band. No sport is easy. Take a minute to be in their shoes and if possible you should go to a cheer clinic. If you think it's easy then and you still don't understand why they hate you, THEN come back here and complain.

Our Cheerleaders hate us with a passion. Probably cause a few of them I use to know very well and that my bando friends and I have played a couple of nasty pranks of them and their houses. Also, we have this habit of playing over their cheers...maybe a few to many times.

because we arent big, mucular guys(not all of us at least, some of the guys in my band are kinda muscular)
funny story: we always play our school song a little faster than tempo, and one game, we played it so fast that the cheerleaders were stilldoing moves when we finished the song half a minute beforehand! they didnt like it... blaugh

the cheer leaders only tolerate us. i was a cheerleader last year. (i loathed it with a firery passion {my mom made me do it}) and this one girl that i think graduated was too. also another one. but yea we rock better then they do. there just mad because we are weay better and ae louder. also take up majority of the half time. one thing that i have a proplem with is bands that try to drown the other band out after they invite you to play there. thats what happened to us. the band was on the other side of the stadum and everytime we played they would play.

I dont think all cheerleaders hate the band, unless their the stuck up ones, but our band does a show with them. and its wierd because our cheerleading captain is also are leading tuba player. lol how ironic is that? rofl
