Rose watched with a raised eyebrow as the hunter set a hand on his sword handle.
“You make the mistake of thinking we fear you, Hunter. I don’t believe in threats, at least from someone so outnumbered and unintimidating as you,” She growled. This man was anything but polite. She wrung her hands together, reminding herself that there really was nothing she could do to him, but it made her feel better to trash talk him right back. It was better then slapping him, which she very much felt like doing. “You know,” Rose grumbled, tapping her foot with increasing impatience. If he didn’t leave, neither could she. He was her only distraction. “I think you have overstayed your welcome, sir.”

Since Bruma snowed fequently, the sun was seldom seen. Usually it was a kind of darkness, like just after the sunset. Even so, the sun was still there and it still gave him a headache. With a sigh, Douglas closed the blinds. A vampire servant wandered into the room, asking him if he'd like anything, and douglas replied with a smile, "No thank you. I'm fine. Thanks for asking though." the vampire bowed, walking back out of the room.

After the servant left, Douglas turned back to the window. By now, his stomache felt like it was caving in. He wondered if it was night or not. It was so hard to tell in Bruma. The only real way to know was if it wasn't snowing, or if you were watching the sun set. It was quite annoying.

Douglas turned from the window, slipping over into a comfortable red lazy-boy. He groaned mentally, noting that no chairs he sat in did his feet touch the ground. He cursed his younger self quietly to himself, mumbling something about being a stupid brat who had to common sense.

Nicky jumped when she heard a sound only to found out it was a dog. She smiled, but then she reallized something wasn't quite right. She started to back up as the dog began to grawl at her. She clinged to the books and she turned around. The dog nipped her in the back of her leg. She started to run looking for something to climb as the dog chased her. She found a high stone wall and before she reached it she kicked off her shoes. She put the handle of the bag of books in her mouth and climbed until she reached the top. She looked down at the dog still trying to get at her. The was very thick and it made it easyer for her to rest and wait. She sighed and she took out a book and began to read, but soon the day sky faded away and turned to night.

((I am SO sorry I disappeared. I have been swamped the past few days sweatdrop ))

The maid caring for Demetria smiled as her fever quickly dropped. She patted her head with the cool cloth once again and headed towards the kitchen to find her some food. Once the maid had left Demetria began to stir. She flinched as her eyes were flooded with light and she propped herself up on her elbows. With one of her hands she rubbed her temples, shaking. "I mustn't have been out for very long." she muttered, mostly to herself.

"Thank god," Douglas murmured, finally noticing the sun setting. He could finally get something to eat. Which reminded him. How many hours of sleep had he gotten? With a weary sigh he rubbed his eyes, willing himself to stay up a bit longer so he may feed.

With another sigh, Douglas trudged into the hallway and past various people, who all took a little time to say something nice. Douglas thought it was stupid, but he didn't really care.

Next it was down the stairs. He stumbled a few times, but kept his balance by having a firm grip on the railing. Honestly, the man or woman that had thought of railing needed to be commended.

Soon enough he was standing at the front door to the mansion. If he went out tonight, what would his excuse be? Errands, like always. Always when the police asked he was getting this for dad, or that for mom. Honestly, too gullible were some humans.

Nicky watched the dog in the darkness as her hair blew in the wind. She took out her ponytail and missed with her hair to keep her self from getting borword. She stood up with her books in her hands as she began to walk on top of the wall. The wind kept her overly long hair out of her face and her white dress flowing. She looked up at the moon begging the Moon Goddess to help her as the dog kept on following and barking at her.

She started to lose her balance and then she bent down to get hold of the wall. She gulped from a new fear of falling. Her eyes shook as she got up and started again. But soon was stoped when she came to a gap where a gate stood. She looked around frantically.

Douglas pushed open the large heavy doors with ease, closing them behind him. He adopted the fake childish posture and voice he used in town, mumbling to himself as he walked. The gate loomed ahead and Douglas peered at the ground.

With a sigh of protest, the gate swung open when Douglas pushed it. He stood at the gate a moment, wondering where he should go to feed.

Nicky gulped and desided she was going to try and out run the dog. Hope full she wouldn't get nicked this time. She jumped down and did quite make a graceful landing. She went from her feet to knees to strait flat on the ground.

She sat up and rubbed her knees knowing they took most of the landing shock. She stood back and cought someone out of the curner of her eye. Then she turned her attention back to the dog after it had bit her in the back of the leg. She started to run again.

Murakai walked through the city gates of Cheydihal. He was getting strange looks from the people around him but why would they look at him sideways? after all there's nothing wrong with a man who has an escort of four, each escort carring a large wraped package that you could have sworn looked like a mummy. Murakai laughed and said "im terribly sorry i didnt send for a request but frankly... i dont care to." he walked down the street his escorts following.

Though the sun was still out and high in the sky, Nova decided to go to the club. It opened at noon, though almost no one was ever there. She simply had to get away from herself and her thoughts, and the thumping music usually helped.
She stood, dusting herself off before heading back towards town. She slipped into the club with a nod at the security guard. She went to the only club in town, hating the crowds but looking for a new vampire. She sat in a corner, sipping a drink the bartender had given her. He seemed to have a crush on her, but she didn't really pay much attention to him. He was human, and she was looking for a vampire. Sighing, she leaned back in her chair, scanning the crowds for what she desperately needed.

Edward flinched, another vampire presence had just entered his territory. Strange considering how he hadn't resived(sp?) word that anyone was coming, and that was a big no-no. Especially with vampires. 'Dammit, why do all of these things have to happen to me? I would have been just as happy to continue to live a boring everyday life like everyone else.' He thought to himself. Everything that was going on right now had to be handled with care, and Edward didn't think he could do that if they all needed to be dealt with all at once. It was like trying to carry boxes that you couldn't see over.

Dogulas mused to himself why he walked, 'Why don't I know any of the city masters around here? I feel we should know each other. Be like, a sort of vampire family or something. If we band together, wouldn't we be able to stop virtually any hunter?' Just then Douglas' attention was torn away by a woman walking down the street.

She looked about 20-ish, was averagely attractive, and had no one with her. Perfect. Into the next alleyway Douglas went, where he fell on the ground and started 'crying'. The strategy usually worked, and when the lady walked by Douglas' 'crying' got louder. The fish took the bait.

As she walked down the alleyway, while Douglas pretended to cry, he contemplated. It wouldn't be hard to simply knock her out, but he heard victims got a sort of pleasure from the bite. He didn't know if it was true or not, but he was ravenously hungry.

The lady picked him up in her arms, which made it all the more easy. When she went to set him down, he simply sunk his fangs into her neck. She went rigid for a few seconds, then relaxed into him. He knew he hadn't killed her. Maybe she'd fainted.

After a minute, Douglas was done. He tapped the lady gently on the forehead. "Miss? Are you alright?" She awoke with a start, and scrambled up. Douglas lied, saying, "You were lying here in this alley. Are you alright?"

She nodded, and bustled off, leaving Douglas to himself. He decided it'd be fun to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the mansion for one night, and have a night on the town for himself.
