Personal
Name (Or something other than Gaia nickname?): Beka Birthday: Jan. 16 Country your currently residing in: USA (Heh. Actually started to type Texas. xd ) Home Address and Phone Number (I'm kidding, don't actually answer this.) Dammit. Why not? Is there anyone special in your life? (And I don't mean your mother.): Does my puppy count? Siblings?: Brother, one year younger. Pets?: Yes. A puppy named Annie. Mentor?: My mother I suppose. And my best friend. Religion?: Christian Favorite Quote: Ah, that's a hard one. So many good ones to choose from and it changes depending on where I am in life. Right now, the first one that comes to mind is from Shawshank Redemption:
Remember, [Red,] hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies. Favorite Band: Travis. Hands down, no contest. Travis. (Why does it always rain on me? Is it because I lied when I was seventeen? Even when the sun is shining, I can't avoid the lightening.) Favorite Movie: The Shawshank Redemption
Pro-Life
Why are you Pro-Life?: I've just always believed that life begins at conception. With all I've learned about pregnancy and babies, I don't see how a person can pinpoint when that baby stops being a zygoat and starts being a baby. Even now, scientists are learning that things they thought happened later in a pregnancy are happening earlier. Plus, the first time abortion really registered to me as happening was when I learned about partial-birth abortion. It horrified me more than anything I've ever seen or learned about. And that's about as much as I can talk about it without getting upset, so I'll move on... What about physical health to the mother?: If she's absolutely, positively going to die, then yes. I don't think it's necessarily right, but it's understandable. Rape?: This arguement has lost a lot of its power for me since I became friends with a woman who was raped and became pregnant. She had the baby, and she loves her daughter. That coupled with the fact that I don't believe in "can't" means that I am not easily swayed by the "Rape victims just can't have that baby" argument. Yes, they can. I wouldn't dare say it's easy, but it is possible, and that baby is still a baby, no matter how it was concieved. Views on the Death Penalty?: I'm for it. In the time of DNA evidence, it's rare that a person is on Death Row wrongfully, and you don't get put on Death Row for robbing a store. Are you vegetarian?: No. Vegan?: No. Are there another ways you're pro-life?: Not that I can think of.
Lastly Say something positive about someone in this Guild: I.Am has a funny sig. I don't quite understand it, but it still makes me giggle. Say something positive about someone in the Pro-Choice Guild: They have their reasons for believe what they do, just as I have mine.

Pro-Life because...
I don't think anyone should be allowed to deem a life worthy of unworthy to live, no matter what the circumstances in most cases, like if it is innocent. It's its own life. No one else's, and you only get one. It's size doesn't make it right to take its life. I don't believe people should push their morals on others as far as to make them die, especially without letting them live long enough to actually have a say in whether they want to or not, or defend themselves. If it's their own body, then it's their choice. If it is something like abortion and involves another life, as well, then the other life should have a say. I also think it's one of the most disgusting and inhumane practices that most of the human civilization has classified as moral.

I like the way you fill the Pro-Lifer forum with your topics, and at the same time, manage to post intelligent, interesting things. It's a lot more remarkable to me than rant topics and hate speeches. It really gives me hope. 3nodding

~*~Personal~*~ Name (Or something other than Gaia nickname?): Lauren
Birthday: 5/4/84 Country your currently residing in: USA
Home Address and Phone Number (I'm kidding, don't actually answer this.) Is there anyone special in your life? (And I don't mean your mother.): Well my mother is very special to me. We have been through a lot but now she is practically my best friend. Then there is my husband of 4 years, Oscar and my 3 kids Jasmin who is 5, MiReina who is 2, and Delicia who is almost 4 months. I also have a baby in Heaven.
Siblings?: I have an older sister and have brother
Pets?: Oh my gosh, lets see, there is my dog Lita, my cat Jizelda, my turtle Buddy, my lizards Jasmin and Oscar, my snail who has yet to be named, and my rabbit Calypso. Then there is my cat in Heaven Bubba, and my gerbil Shy and my crab Buddy (yes my turtle was named after my crab) who are also in Heaven.
Mentor?: none
Religion?: Christian
Favorite Quote: "It is a poverty that a child must die so you may live as you wish" --Mother Teresa and "If God brings you to it He'll bring you through it" --unknown
Favorite Band: Frankie J
Favorite Movie: "Where the Heart is" and "Crash"
~*~Pro-Life~*~ Why are you Pro-Life? (Were you adopted, know anyone who had an abortion, etc.): Whatever you want to call "it," it is a alive and a human being from the moment of conception therefore abortion is taking the life of another human being which is wrong. Also I got pregnant at 15 and my mom tried to make me have an abortion. That was just aweful. I have also known people who have had abortions and it just ruined their life. Then a little over a year ago I had a miscarriage and although I was only 6-7 weeks I still view it as my child died and I wanted to strangle people who told me its not like it was really a person yet.
What about physical health to the mother?: It depends on the circumstances. Like int he case of an ectopic pregnancy the baby wouldn't be able to survive anyway so I think it is okay then. But if the baby has any chance at survival I think it should be delivered, not killed.
Rape?: A baby is a baby regardless of how it was conceived and a child should not have to pay for the sins of his/her father
Views on the Death Penalty?: I do agree with it in some cases but I don't agree with the way it is implemented in this country.
Are you vegetarian?: No. Not that I want to witness or take part in the death of an animal. But an animal is an animal, not a human and I believe God put some animals here for humans to eat. However animal cruelty makes me sick. I think when an animal is killed it should be done in the most fast and humane way possible.
Vegan?: no
Are there another ways you're pro-life?: I am undecided on assisted suicide. Part of me says if someone wants to end their suffering let them but I think there are too many ways it could be abused. Like people could get away with murder by saying their victim wanted to die and so forth.
~*~Lastly~*~ Say something positive about someone in this Guild: I don't really know anyone here yet
Say something positive about someone in the Pro-Choice Guild: I don't know anyone in the pro-choice guild either, but about pro-choicers in general I don't hate them. I can really understand some of their arguments. For example when they acknowledge that it is a human and it is alive but that having an abortion would be the right thing to do because it would be better off dead than brought into a particular situation. I don't agree with that but I do understand it.
