"It seems..." He drew his fingertips down the side of her throat before resting his hand on her shoulder. He could feel how tense she was, see the emotions soaring over her features. He found it somehow incredibly alluring. "...That every time I speak to you, I speak to a different person. I can never seem to pin you down." He leaned in closer. He could feel her breath on his neck. He realized for the first time just how much bigger he was than she. He could throw her over his shoulder without much trouble. "Every time I think I know who you are, you change." He took the strap of her dress and pulled it down off of her shoulder, baring even more of her chest than the revealing dress already did. By the sages, she was beautiful. He was enjoying himself way more than he should have been. And now there was something like hunger in his eyes, desire. He fed off of the wild energy coming from her, her clash of emotions, and grew more and more forward, more daring the longer she let him play this game with her. He leaned in, his lips brushing against hers. It wasn't exactly a kiss - not yet. He grazed the side of her breast with his knuckle as his hand travelled down her side, to her hip, then to the small of her back. He drew her against him now, pressing her body to his. His heart fluttered with excitement as their bodies molded together. And yet he was still calm, still perfectly in control. "I like a challenge." He whispered against her lips.
(( Holy cow. He's such a player. O__O ))

(( you aren't kidding))
Lura cursed herself. The warm sun shone on her back, reminding her that she was weak and moldable at the moment; and what's worse is that Agaio seemed to know that too. His voice seemed to lull her into a submissive state, all she could do was move where he wished. She was speechless as he let his fingers trace about her skin, she almost resisted when he pulled her toward him, she flinched slightly when he gently tugged her shoulder strap from her shoulder; and at that she meekly struggled. She didn't want him to think of her as easy, and she didn't know if she truly wanted to go that far...yet.
She opened her mouth to protest, only to feel his lips brushing against hers. The throbbing desire to kiss him almost made her drop everything and wrap her arms around him. She saw his eyes, he felt it too, that burning flair from just a simple touch. Did she have that much affect on him? Did she drive him mad the way he made her wild? She had no time to think it through before her mind was in a haze from his soft caresses along the side of her breast, pulled her even closer, she slightly stiffened; she wouldn't give in to him yet.
"I like a challenge..." he whispered against her lips as she found herself almost pleading for his kiss. No, she would make him work for it...but she didn't know how. She loosened in his grasp, relaxed enough for her to think, and when he came for a kiss, she would simply turn her head just enough so he would kiss the corner of her mouth.
"a challenge?" she found herself mumbling as she slowly wriggled in his grasp. Pulling back from his arms, but not to much at a time, just enough to seemingly pull him toward her as she pressed her back against the wall. "I'm not good at challenge's by day, Agaio" she whispered, and when she said his name, she said it in a sexy, sensual voice that surprised even her. "Maybe some time in the night I could fill that challenge?" Was she flirting? she felt as if she were still the confident Lura that roamed the shadows...where did all this courage come from? Was it from his addicting touches?
Every time he touched her she leaned into his touch. When his lips were close, she finally let them brush against her lips. "Unless..." she started, "you have something else in mind?" she was starting to agree with him, she didn't even know who she was half the time.

Agaio laughed, seeing right through her. He was happy to lean in closer, push her back against the window, feel her pressed against him. He ran his fingers through her hair, tucked a strand behind her ear, teased her earlobe with his lips, the closest he had come to giving her a kiss yet. "I think I prefer you blonde." He responded. And then, his offer denied, he pulled away and turned toward the door, as though waiting for Rani to come tromping through. But she didn't. They were still alone.
Now the heat died down and Agaio was able to actually think. He became nervous, but as always did his best to hide it.
"Rani will be back soon." He grumbled

She felt weak in his embrace, he kissed her ear as he whispered to her. How much she wanted to just give in right there, just let him take her...but she tried so hard to behave. "You like me better blonde?" her voice almost a shocked whisper. She moved in his arms. His body pressed against her now. How much she wanted him to kiss her...
And then, he simply walked away. She let out a long breath, almost relief almost disappointment. She fell against the wall as she watched him walk toward the door. "Rani will be back soon," he grumbled, she suddenly felt terrible. She'd completely forgotten about her.
"Right, Rani..." She stood strait and walked toward the fire to start it up again, she didn't know how long it was since she last started it up, but it was suddenly freezing and the fire was once again down to embers. She visibly shook from the cold, considering what little she wore. She rubbed her hands to her arms, pulling up her dress strap once again. She turned standing slowly and looked for a blanket, finding only one on the chair she had almost slept in. It was the thinnest sheet...but it covered her shoulders.
It obviously didn't warm her at all. She suddenly wanted to be back in Agaio's arms again.

Agaio leaned against the doorway and watched Lura build the fire. She shook as she moved, and a certain weariness hung over her.
And yet she was still breath-takingly beautiful.
Agaio massaged his brow. He couldn't be alone with her. She was dangerous to his sanity. Just wait til it got dark and she turned into her darker self. She was bound to eat him alive.
He just HAD to be attracted to a woman who was completely bipolar.
"You're tired, aren't you?" He asked, moving back into the room. Where was Rani? She could lighten the air between them. But he didn't want to seem antsy.

When Agaio asked her if she was tired, it only reminded her of the fact. "Only a little," she lied. "Besides, i'm so restless I don't think I could get a lick of sleep." she didn't look at him, she feared just the sight of him would return her to the terrible longing she had just barely escaped. She remained sitting in the chair, leaning toward the fire, keeping the blanket close about her, not that it was doing much good.
She didn't know what to do, she felt like there was so much to be done, but there was nothing to do. She couldn't believe that she'd let Rani, who was only a child, out alone in the winter wilderness of a seemingly deserted world. There were so many thoughts rushing through her head how could she possibly think of sleep? She leaned on her arm and held her head in her hands, as if her headache had returned; when in truth all she wanted was Agaio.
Just great.
"Why do I feel so useless," she muttered, though she believed she hadn't spoken a word.

That wasn't a hard question to answer. "Because you haven't slept for days, I'm guessing, you're lost, you're confused, you're exhausted, you've wasted a lot of your energy healing me" and hitting on me, he wanted to add, remembering her kiss, but didn't, "and you should really get some rest."
"I told you that you wouldn't sleep well in the chair. You should have taken the couch, like I told you to."

She was almost, really almost, shocked that he'd answered her. But she couldn't help but agree that he was right. She curled into the chair and held her head. "As true as that is, my mind is just reeling." she mumbled. She sighed, leaning her head back as she closed her eyes. Who knows, maybe she could trust him long enough to take a nap. She looked up to him, her eyes almost instantly caught in his.
"You'd watch for Rani while I'm 'out'?" She asked, and than foolishly she added "You wont leave?"
She shivered from the cold, she wished she still had that cloak from the first day, but it was gone, taken by one of those troll like things when she saved Agaio only days before. "Damn it's cold in here..."

Agaio was too surprised by her question to come up with an immediate answer. He just stared at her, sure to make her uncomfortable, before finally asking a disbelieving..."You think I'll leave you? Alone? With a child? Here? Do you think I'm crazy, woman?" It was obvious that he was losing his temper with her. "Why do you think so lowly of me? Have I done anything to you to make you believe that I would just leave you alone to die in your sleep somewhere?"
She was cold. Somehow, despite his rant, he registered that and, while still lecturing him on trusting her, he slid his own cloak from his shoulders, approached her, and draped it over her.
"You need sleep." He added to the end of his lecture without even chaning his angry, bossy tone.

She looked away, all the while listening to him almost yell at her. She had been about to close her eyes when he draped his cloak about her. She looked up to him shocked, only to softly smile and give him the look of thanks. "Thank you," She took the cloak and pulled it closer, it smelled nice, like Agaio of course, but just nice. The heat from his body seemed to be radiating from this cloak, she was warm in mere moments and was feeling sleepy already. Whether he'd said it mean or nice, he still said he wouldn't leave.
He wouldn't leave her. She looked up at him one last time.
"That wasn't what i meant, I'm just used to people leaving me behind. Thats all," she said finally, before she once again turned in the chair and gracefully closed her eyes and attempted to go to sleep.

"Well I'm not like other people." Agaio snapped brutishly, refusing to appear warmed by her sweet thanks, refusing to admit that it was rather thrilling to see her in his cloak, that it gave him a feeling of possesiveness that he found surprisingly alluring, that he wanted nothing more at that moment than an invitation to join her.
Which, of course, being sensible at the moment, she wasn't about to give him.
But their was no way he was letting her sleep in the chair. Her serene moment was cut short by him - with no attempt at an excuse whatsoever - scooping her into his arms.
"No way am I letting you try to sleep in a chair." He snapped, trying...so hard...not to be distracted by desire.

With her head turned and her eyes closed, she didn't know if he saw or not, Lura smiled at his comment. No he wasn't like other people, and yet, she treated him like he was.
And with that she found herself slowly drifting off to sleep. Lura was torn from her restfulness as Agaio abruptly lifted her in his arms and stood.
"No way am I letting you try to sleep in a chair." He snapped as he lifted her. She briefly struggled, in alarm she found herself draping his arms around his shoulders, as if childishly she was afraid he would drop her.
"Agaio, its ok I can sleep in a chair..." but she gave up, she wasn't going to start that foolish argument again. It was a rough yet caring action, she told herself, it was all she could to to prevent from kicking her way from his arms and going back to the small secluded chair.
And yet being in his arms, what ever thoughts she was able to push out of her mind before were instantly returned. She was in his arms, strong, gentle, protective... possessive? She felt weak in his arms, submissive, and she almost liked it.
Agaio, she decided, was an acquired taste. And she quite enjoyed him now. She closed her eyes, trying to shake the thoughts from her mind. No, she wasn't going to just give him what he wanted...if he wanted it. She would make him work for it...but than again the thought returned as it had before...How when all she wanted was to give in?

Agaio struggled with whether or not to make an advance. She was obviously willing, the way that she had submitted to him with so little struggle earlier, and the way that she had kissed him last night.
No. No. He couldn't. What she needed right now was sleep, not romance. If he got her all worked up now, as he so wanted to, then she would never sleep. And come night time her demonnightself would be even grouchier than usual.
So he set her down with affectionate roughness on the couch he had slept on the night before and released her to get comfortable.
"I'm going to check to see if Rani is nearby. I'll be right outside. You sleep. Don't make me have to knock you out."
And leaving her with that lovely threat, he stepped out into the chilly air to look around, leaving the door open behind him, being sure to stay in Lura's sight. Who knew that she would have issues with being alone.
Yet another quirk he found appealing about her.
Despite his intitial distaste for her, he was finding more and more to like about Lura.

She was gently placed down on the couch, and she let her arms fall from his shoulders. He was tender in his own quirky way, she thought. She kinda liked being around him, she didn't know why, it just made her feel human.
She silently nodded, letting him do as he wished. She nodded again as he started out to look for Rani, and she felt her eye lids grow heavy. She saw him out side the window, and with just that glance she was able to find the peace to fall asleep.
She was out in moments.

Agaio paced. He was freezing. The fire roared, but it offered him little comfort and wasn't enough to warm him. He'd already piled every blanket he could find on the scantily-clad Lura.
He paced.
Lura had really been tired. She had been asleep all day. Soon the sun would set and monsterLura would emerge, and Agaio would have a whole different set of issues to deal with. Why couldn't she just sleep at night when she was rude and demanding, and be awake during the day when she was sweet and caring?
It had been hours, and Rani still hadn't come back.
Worse, Agaio had an acute feeling that she wouldn't be coming back at all.
He paced.
