Alamoria Blessed Blade I don't think Lanzer ever got his halo. I don't even know if Lanzer is still on staff. I mean, the admins don't give out announcements anymore. Dumbass NPCs do. I thought Lanzer was part of the anniversary sash thing like a month or two ago...hmm No clue at all. And yeah, the guild changes don't seem especially meaningful. And Niccea, I actually shook VO's hand. It was still really really cool though.

Even thought this site is big. I think the mods need to be more personable. We are keeping them a float.
I guess they really don't want a million PMs a day, but I dunno.
The not free stuff and the NPCs are grinding my gears.
Maybe Gaia should consider going back to basics. You know, forums, guilds and avatars. Go back to blessed simplicity and get rid of shoving ads in our faces. That is all they are doing with these "sponsorships."
In the good ol' days you could ignore the ads because they were on the side bar and what not. Now they are announcing any sponsor they have and shoving it your face.
<^.^> Actually I have a program on FF that blocks the sidebar ads, so you would never hear me complain about those.

There's no plausibility in asking them to "go back to the basics". This is how they make money. What's really pissing me off most is the companies getting their own stores.... There's that freaking MTV store and that irritates me to no end. This was supposed to NOT be Neopets. And then there's our PMs "brought to you by Verizon". I mean, I know you can text people with Gaia now, but that kind of plugging is excessive. What I'd most like to see is a removal of some features. I personally think that housing, cars, and journals need to go. Housing and journals were a good idea, but nobody cares anymore. Cars might get some more resistance from people who do like, but it's just another defocusing bit. What I'd like to see MOST however, is for it to be impossible to sell store bought items in the marketplace. Too much gold is staying in the system right now, driving inflation incredibly. Over 100,000g for new items? It's way over the top. Gaia has to sink some gold, and the most stable way to do that is to force users to buy items from the stores.

Remember when 'donation' letters used to be 3k a pop. I think I remember them lower. Remember when they were actually called donation letters. Yeah. Remember when the whole cigarette scandal took place. Must have been before me, or else I wasn't online. Remember when you actually got: Rare Events Yeah, one or two. Remember when gaia was riddled with errors like this: This is a link.HAr-har. Remember when the layout was good and used to look like this only blue instead of orange: Old layout.Yeah Remember when there was no marketplace. I don't think so... Remember when gaia hit the max amount of posts the server could have which locked up the servers for a day. Must've been some other time Remember when there were no games on gaia. It was all just forums. Hellz yeah. Remember when you didn't get announcements every other day. I remember when then didn't notify you with every friggin thing. Remember when NPC characters didn't exist. Maybe... Rina's been around how long? Remember when there weren't poses. Yah Remember when items only came in one set form. duple-yah Remember when personals still exist on gaia. briefly Remember when guilds didn't exist. Nope Post your old gaian memories here. I coined the phrase ghost-post... I don't know how widespread it was, though.

Remember when Gaia was spread by word of mouth? Not by trying to "create mischief" or name the new wing of the space station.
I remember. It took me for ever to find this site cause I thought BB said go-guy
Which brings me to:
Do you remember when this was Go-Gaia?

I remember all of this, yes! Go-gaia is a better name. More original than "title"-online.... I joined in 2004, which feels like forever ago. It started to get crazy here, so I left for a while, and now there's so much stuff it's hard to keep track. : ( I liked the original layout best too, before they had games and stuff, and Polls were the best way to get gold.

I love being nostalgic, and I remember a lot of things...
But I also enjoy the new changes guys, sorry, but I like having a car, having a house, how the market has gone, and all the different items we have.
The ONLY thing I absolutely HATE are evolving items and Aquariums.
Other than that, I still love gaia

I don't like how the marketplace has gone, because it's too clear cut now. Doesn't make you search for a good deal...it just shows you a good deal. The new items...where to start. In short, they're over the top. Too flashy...but that seems to be all the craze now-a-days. And EI's are just another scheme for money.

When did those clothing starter sets come into play? Cause I remember having nothing, and borrowing some Christmas clothes from Alamoria.
