I love Ganguro. But Yamanba is too far. ganguro can be just bronzer, white liner, and a little white shadow, maybe dyed hair. but most people see the manba side, with bleached hair and all that fun stuff @_@.

 To be totally honest I don't like it, if I have to chose I'll chose the Kogals. I saw the anime and I loved it! I dunno how it is in real life.

I think ganguro's all point it's trying to be less Japanese and I don't like that.
Still some of them look kind of cute, you know less make-up and not so tanned skin.
I'm actually tanned, but I run from the sun, so my skin turned white. xd
Those colors hurt my eyes! crying

I dress up ganguro sometimes. But only ganguro. Tanned skin and white makeup as well as bleached hair.
I must admit, i dont dress up lolita every day, i try and change styles

i think its gross. its just like all the sterotypical preps here...im of the opnion nobody can pull that off especially girls that are really pretty to begin with, why would you want to hide that behind tons of heavy make up?
some of the clothes are rather cute though...i guess
just my opinion though... sweatdrop

I think Ganguros are very bold people.c: They have such an interesting style with their long nails and such and I love their look!D: But I do prefer Lolita,Ganguro kinda scares me.;A;

I'm not into it, but hell, I'd love to hang out with a Ganguro for a while. It's be so cool. Some of the clothes are awesome, just I like black eyeshadow sometimes, not white. xD
It is a bold fashion, and it does remind me of Valley Girls. Of course, I'd never wear it. My beautiful Brown hair~! D: Scary. (xD Bleaching the hair, I mean. )
And yes, that video a few posts back was hilarious. <3

I read somewhere, several "wheres" actually, that the style is inspired by African-American models.
In all honesty, it's more of mocking those horrid western tans so many girls get and wear disturbingly.
I think it's a bit amusing. It's like how the authour of FRUiTS says "the west rebels with fashions". In that sense it's a bit more poetic but at the same time it's still marvolusely Acid Japan. ^^
All in all, I like it. It's obnoxiously fun.
Reminds me of carnival time.
