I don't hate these languages I just don't like how they sound
Mandarin Chinese- Very harsh sounding to my ears and sounds like they are whining (I'm in an EDnet Mandarin class) Arabic- Too gutteral and sounds quite harsh to me. Parisian French- Too stuck up sound ing (but none the less I love it) Thai and Laotian- Sounds like "cats meowing" to me. Russian- But as Rebecca said it's because of palatalization. Mexican Spanish- I just can't stand how it sounds, it's very ugly sounding to my ears.

I dislike the way German sounds, for some reason when my friend is speaking it to her mother, i feel like at any moment, one of them will hack something up and send it flying O_O

The tone of voice used for speaking Korean kinda irritates me. It's quite nice most of the time, but we always get gaggles of schoolgirls sitting at the back of the class going "Blah blah blah blah MAAAAAAAH!" with that whiny sound at the end.
German doesn't sound particularly nice, but I still love the language.
Ehm. Maori sometimes sounds annoying. Just repetition of sounds and vowels - so much repetition. That and Tongan, they both have 'dead Ts', which don't sound very nice at all. Samoan is much prettier, although I'm biased razz

English, by far, is my least favorite. German and Russian are lovely when spoken correctly. Arabic is an acquired taste, I guess, but I love it.

I'm not sure...But I don't particularly care for the sound of french, but that's not to say that there aren't some speakers that don't make it sound nice...

I'm not really a huge fan of the way French sounds. Like someone said earlier, I think it looks GORGEOUS on paper, though.
However, I'd still like to learn the language someday, just because of the food, fashion, and culture.

They talk and at the end of the sentence they sound like they're whining or something =_= But I love the language still.

Little Rachael Sign language. It sounds like nothing! I am sorry ...I had to laugh at that rofl . Even though I took French I do find some things that I don't like in the language that I find disgusting sometimes, especially when I hear it being spoken. Japanese and the Na Ni Nu Ne No and it just keeps going a lot of the other characters are hard to say -.- but when it is being spoken it does sound nice though, just that it feels hard on the mouth trying to annunciate here and there.

In Turkey there are many people who think German sounds bad because of its "ch" sound. But I think it sounds better than French, which manyTurks like. To me, French is clear like mud, no matter who it is that's speaking it.

Miz says...
Not a big Finnish fan. I dunno why, even sung I find it horrendous. D:
I find some Spanish to be ugly (not all!). I love Castillian, but I find Mexican Spanish unappealing. Ironic. [Spanish major]
... that's what Miz said.

I'm not a big fan of English, but I think that's just me being biased.
I actually don't really like the sound of Cornish, even thought I'm learning it and loving it. To me, it just sounds like trying to speak Welsh with a West Country accent... seeing as Cornish and Welsh are SO similar. Although, I've heard people speaking Cornish with more of a Welsh tone of voice (e.g. rolling the 'R's, instead of English 'R's) and I think it's wonderful (me being biased again -.-)
I also until a while back found Welsh a horrible language to listen to, because of the deep sounding vowels, mostly the weird 'U' sound, where you have to pretty much curl your tongue to get the sound right. (Especially North Walian) But now I realise that it's quite beautiful XD I used to hate our 'ch' and 'll' but now I think they're wonderful x] (Now I'm not a huge fan of South Walian - it annoys the heck out of me)
I apprecciate languages a lot so I find most beautiful, although I haven't really heard enough yet to make much of a judgement XD
