Artica blushed faintly as he kissed her hand, but her voice didn't waver as she answered, "does it have anything to do with a snake?"

"Well," Aaron began, "my family line is an old, chivalrous one that is very strict on tradition. My father has died recently, and now, to become the official Head of the Family of Knoll, I must prove my worth, as my forefathers did before me. I was sent out into the world, and may only return to claim my Headship when I have brought back something innovative, useful, and interesting to my homeland. Whether it be knowledge, an artifact or new magic, I must find my Treasure if I ever wish to return home."

Aaron spotted a couple of people watching them, and almost called out to them until he heard what one of them said, though it was impossible to tell which of them said it.
"Have these men been bothering you?" Aaron demanded rather loudly of Artica.

Deciding that it would be rude not to at least make an effort to greet them, Aaron called, "hello there!" to the others. He waited for a reply...

"Hmmm..." He looked over to the two that where talking. "Possibly..." He quietly said, as he turned to Lex, then hearing the person call out to them, he turned around. "What should we do... Should we go over to them?" He asked Lex.

The silence spiraled as the two parties seemed to just stare at one another. Aaron felt amusement stir up within him when the guys began muttering among themselves.
"Well," Aaron said, loudly and slowly for the other group's benefit, for they were clearly deaf. "This has been a very stimulating intellectual conversation. We should do this again really soon." He lead Artica away, still thoroughly bemused at the entire situation.
Poor fellows, Aaron thought, shaking his head in mournful sympathy for the deaf men.
