That is pretty tough.
Maybe David or Solomon..
I've been reading Isaiah lately, so that would be one...
Paul would probably be one of the toughest to be.

I would be either Solomon with his wisdom and women or John the cousin of Jesus. The only person ever noted int the Bible that there was none greater born of woman and was stated by Jesus.

I'd want to be the theif hanging next to Jesus who is told he'll enter the Kingdom of God.

Well... given the fact that I'm a girl, I'll say Hannah, or Mary

Crimson Zombie blaugh This is such a fun question....I would be Moses (even though I'm a girl) I just love the story of Moses and Pharoh it's so neat the faith Moses had in God 3nodding I wouldn't want to be Moses. God wouldn't let him into the promised land because he lost his temper, the whole thing with striking the rock. I really admire the story of Esther, personally. Definitely not Paul, in my opinion. Too much suffering, I'd rather like to get off easy. Not John the Baptist, I rather like my head, personally. I'd like to be one of the three tossed into the fire by Nebuchadnezzar. Shadrack Mishak or a Abednigo (if those are spelled right). Not Jacob, he wasn't exactly a good person...Daniel would be another one I wouldn't mind being. Niiiice lions. Surprised no one said Jesus, personally. Although, I'm not too into having nails driven into my body.

The first thought that came to my mind was Samson, but after reading your responses, Moses also came to my mind. It is a hard question though. There are so many characters to be admired in the bible.

I would have to say Paul. However, if not a male character, maybe Deborah. She was a prophetess in Judges. However, I'm not entirely sure about Deborah since female characters in the Bible aren't shown much of their personal lives.
Why Paul though? Because, he was well educated by Pharisees and others, so he knew the Bible as well as any other Pharisee or scribe back then. (Think of the most intelligent person that you know; the most educated in nearly every subject out there, or just of the Bible, and that's Paul.) Though he persecuted Christians and sent them to the Pharisees to be tried and killed, it's amazing how he became a Christian. He was the guy that hardly anyone believed would become a Christian. However, he became the most well-known evangelist in the New Testament. He himself said that he was the chief of sinners and yet he became the most profound figures in Christian history. I think that because of Paul, I can see those who are the worst people on earth becoming some of the strongest evangelists/Christians out there that anyone will ever meet, and people will wonder what has happened for that person to change so dramatically, or not believe that they've become who they are today. smile

I think I'd have to choose ... "you". Either that, or "I".
Oh, come on, folks; think about it. "Blessed are you ... " "I go to prepare a place for you ... " "... whatever you bind on earth ... " "I give you authority ... " Tell the truth, who among us doesn't want to be "you"?
But, barring that, I'd have to pick "I". As in, "I shall call upon the Lord ... " "Yea, though I walk through the valley ... " Yes, I'd say "I" would be a pretty good choice as well.
And best of all ... neither of these choices is gender-dependent! Any of us could be "you", and any of us could be "I". Come on, ladies, you know that makes these seem a bit better, right?
