We all know that Cloud hears voices in his head periodically throughout the game. Some of the times are definitely Sephiroth/Jenova. What about the other times, such as when he crashed into the church and a voice told him that "back then" he could have gotten by with just a scratch, or something like that? Who do you think it is? Sephiroth again, being uncharacteristically non-mocking? Zack? The "real" Cloud?

The real Cloud, before he got JENOVAfied. I believe this is actually mentioned in the Ultimania Omega.

Even if you didn't have the Ultimecia guide, you can pretty much tell that the real Cloud was the one that was speaking. *Instances: The church, the honeybee inn, lifestream, etc...*

The voices talking to Cloud in the beginning, (reactor, church, Junon) were all his true self trying to get him to remember who he really was. At first, it seemed to be making small talk with him, then they said things like "back then" and "remember". Some were Sephiroth just trying to toy with him.

*Laughs* Like soad said, you can find the Ultimania guide online. They pretty much talk about everything and explain things that were difficult to understand before.
