Currently, just a log for RP posts. x3 Soon, perhaps where the RP will take place. <3

User ImageGloomy today, eh? Dark eyes reluctantly cast themselves up to the blinding grey of looming storm clouds, wryly taking note that while the atmosphere threatened to drown him, it hardly looked as though it would do little more than bluff. Just as well--Sera was hardly in the mood for getting wet. Thick, if glossy tails, identical in color to the scraggly locks that framed those sharp eyes, whisked at the grass beneath his paws. In truth, though the omnious setting brought back less than soothing memories for the Spaniard, the cool, almost damp feel of the air was welcomed as he sauntered lightly near the edge of the ancient forest that had long-since spread across the Mountain like a leafy blanket.

The river burbled softly at him from a distance, but Luis hardly paid it any mind. No, no, that river was, in his well-informed opinion, nothing but bad luck, always tossing him in situations that usually involved him fleeing. True, there was that one time, with that particularly bad-tempered wraith-like thing...but that didn't matter. Besides, he was content with investigating the trees for now, a humming croon idly building up within his throat. Hadn't he gotten attacked by the trees last time, too? "I'm starting to think you'd rather I go elsewhere, Lady Mountain...Where's the looove?" Came the chuckle. Talking to himself? Well, if he kept that up, he'd have to think he was crazy...

Tossing his head was enough to remove the silky strands that were so intent on clinging to his face, and, idly pricking his ears, Luis slipped into what, on a normally sunny day, would be the shade of the forest. No sense in getting wet if nature really did have something against him, eh? Maybe he'd look for someone to chatter at--all this solitary behavior was starting to turn him into something of a social recluse.

There was another who was particularly wary of the less-than-appealing weather that was threatening to break overhead. Kaoru Hitachiin peered up through the leaves at the gray, rolling sky, briefly wondering if he should, perhaps, be hunting for a place to hide from surely coming rainfall rather than playing a hunting game with a rabbit he had located some time ago.

The younger of the Hitachiin twins sighed and flicked his ears a little, listening for any sign of said rabbit. It was too late to continue the game - he couldn't hear anything, meaning the small creature had taken advantage of his mulling and made it's final run to freedom. So the chase had ended and a new sort of chase had begun, where Kaoru would begin his search for either his brother or a pleasant hiding place to wait out the rain. His tails skimmed lightly over the long grasses as he made his way towards the more walked paths of the forest, keeping a wary eye on the sky above so he could know to run should the rain begin earlier than he anticipated.

The last thing he had expected to hear was a voice. Distant, but it was there, and Kaoru paused to listen. It definitely wasn't his brother. Hikaru's voice was different, and he would be scolding Kaoru for wandering off in such bad weather, rather than speaking to the Mountain herself. So he continued on, watching out for the source of said voice, in case it was one he needed to get away from.

A grumble of thunder earned another rueful glance from the Spaniard, who snorted in reply and quite deliberately continued his strutting pace down what looked like a rabbit trail. Reminded him of the old hunting trails back home--the ones that he'd used to save his life when the parasetic monsters had hunted him through the entire blasted night, the crackle of their torches and their harsh, whooping calls enough to keep him running for his life. Much like a rabbit. Only familiarity with his surroundings and quick wit had kept him alive...but such sour thoughts, eh? Luis chased them from his mind, batting away the cobwebs just as a flash of color caught his eye. Instinctively the male slowed his pace, ears flattening warily. Of course...a lovely female couldn't be anything threatening, mm?

"Señoritaaaa, surely you aren't going to stay out in the rain?" Luis questioned smoothly, a grin flickering across his muzzle as he easily moved across the path, catching sight of those golden eyes. Rather..boyish, wasn't she? But nothing that the Spaniard couldn't handle. "It'd be a shame, letting you get all wet when I just so happen to know of a nice spot for us to stay dry...." Dark eyes flickered amusedly as the Spaniard slowed his pace, tilting his head in order to glance her over better. "You gotta name, sweetheart?"

Yes, it was true; the Spaniard had little shame when it came to courting. Even now, when he knew quite well that the threat of Las Plagas would only continue to bloom, it was still somewhat acceptable to flirt--right?"The name's Luis Sera--pleasure." Another grin, along with a swish of those tails.

[Alchemist.exe]
Well.

This was certainly the last thing he had expected.

Kaoru glanced down at his clothes, wondering if they made him look exceedingly feminine that day, or if it was just the light... or... or what. Whatever it may have been, it had caused this male to confuse him for a lady, rather than the man he was! Señorita, he had been called by this... oddly charming kitsu, which he knew was a feminine word in the Spanish language. He wanted to laugh, and correct the other kitsu, to tell him that he had the wrong gender...

But, given that he was a Little Devil, the temptation to play along was just too great. "A pleasure, yes," he replied, opting to hike up a bit of an accent just to add to the fun. His brother probably would be proud. "I was thinking of just looking around for a place to hide from the rain, but if you have a place available with space for two... what's the use in looking about?" His voice was soft enough to pass for feminine, he hoped. This game was just too fun!

"Ah, and before I forget... Kaoru. I am Kaoru Hitachiin," he finished up with a charming smile. His name could go both ways in the gender field, so it was safe to use his actual name. That way he wouldn't have to worry about responding to a false one. "Perhaps you could lead the way to this dry place, then, Luis Sera?"

Tsunake
Whatever the reason for the Spaniard's blunder, he had little reason to doubt that this was indeed female--especially when that soft, delicatedly acccented tone caressed his hearing. "But of course." He all but crooned, quite pleased with his luck. It had been ages since he'd laid eyes on a woman, and a seemingly willing one at that! "There's a few caves I know of that'll do the trick just fine." Luis mused, peering at her slyly with one eye through a curtain of dark silk. "Orrrr, if you're a lady of higher tastes, there's a cabin, though it's a bit of a walk. Either or--I'm yours to command." A broad wink punctuated that statement, followed by a rather cheeky sort of grin.

"Kaoru, eh? That's Japanese, isn't it?" The flirtatious air gave way temporarily, revealing an openly curious intellectual side--the side that, he was careful to remind himself, was what got him in this mess in the first place. "And but of course--though the cabin's a farther walk, somehow, I'd feel guilty for holing you up in just a cave..." Luis did indeed know no shame, grinning again before he skirted past her.

If they kept a decent pace, they'd easily make it to the Headquarters without getting rained out. And if not? ...Well, it wouldn't come to that. He didn't flaunt the title of 'ladies' man' for nothing, after all. "So tell me, señorita--you come here often? Or was it just my luck to stumble across such a pretty face?"

[Alchemist.exe]
Kaoru held back laughter, smiling sweetly at Luis instead, actually finding the other's mannerisms quite amusing and charming - he would have to scold himself later for that one. "Either way would be just fine, to be honest. So long as we get out of any possible rain," he replied, looking up at the sky as thunder rumbled quite ominously overhead. "And it seems we don't have much time..." Choices, choices...

"Let us just take what is available. We'll head for the cabin, but, if we don't reach it in time, we can tuck ourselves away in a dry cave," Kaoru decided at last, before pausing as he saw the curious, less flirtatious side of the other, if just for a moment - but that moment was enticing enough. "Hai, it is..." And then it was gone, and Luis was walking by, heading down the path, and Kaoru was quick to follow.

"I actually am around rather often, but I don't stick to the beaten path - what fun is it seeing what everyone else has seen already? So I wander further in, where the grass is long. You happened to catch me as I was coming back from a game of chase with a rabbit," Kaoru answered, smiling playfully and laughing a little.

Tsunake
"Lucky for us, there's a few caves here and there on the way. Hopefully we won't need them, but..." Ears twitched with what could have been amusement, dark eyes flicking to the sky as the sky grumbled deeply with irritation, "...I seem to have a lack of luck when it comes to these sorts of things." That was one way of putting it. "Ahhh, not only beautiful, but intelligent as well!" The dark-haired kitsu chuckled faintly, his saunter now something more of a trot, but still holding back enough that he could could glance at Kaoru out of the corner of his eye.

"Oh-ho! You're more adventurous than I first took you for, Señorita." The Spaniard's tone was filled with approval, though he certainly wasn't patronizing the other. "And, by the looks of it, I'd say the rabbit won?" He ventured, his thoughts straying back to his earlier notion on rabbit trails, but thankfully, arousing none of the bitterness and regret that accompanied it. "I usually stick to the river myself--but lately, I find that I'm meeting people I'd really rather avoid..."

He chuckled, a smooth, velvety sort of sound that stirred from the base of his throat before flowing easily. Didn't want to stick to the beaten path, huh? An all-too sharp reminder of his time during those hellish nights, but the dark-haired Spaniard hid it well. "Lucky for me that I was passing through, eh? Wouldn't have done me much of a favor to miss such a pretty lass~"

[Alchemist.exe]

A faint blush appeared on Kaoru's cheeks, mostly for show, but also a bit true. Compliments always embarrassed him to some degree, though he did his best to always accept them gracefully. "You give out such kind words generously, Luis... I almost don't know if I should believe them!" he replied, laughing softly and shaking his head a little, before jumping just slightly - once more for show - as thunder crackled rather suddenly.

"Ah... Oh, yes. I fear the rabbit did certainly win... I may have been able to keep up the chase for a bit longer, but the storm rolled in. Either way, though, it's almost sure that the rabbit would have won in the end. He knew the way of the forest far better than I do yet," Kaoru continued, before giving Luis a curious look. "The river? I've never really walked along the river... water doesn't exactly grab my attention."

Ah, that laugh... Kaoru wanted to blush all over again, but that was ridiculous of him! He should not be truly... simpering like the maid he was pretending to be over this man. Certainly not. But he would admit that he liked Luis's laugh... it was nice. "Very lucky for me that you were passing through! I probably would have been caught by the rain while trying to fumble my way to shelter."

Tsunake
The sight of flushed cheeks was enough to have him grinning broadly again, ducking his head a little to portray, with silent amusement, that he'd ease off some. "Ahh, forgive me, eh? I've been told I have a clever tongue of sorts--it tends to start waggling when I see a girl as pretty as you. A curse, I'm afraid." He sounded rather cheerful about it, dark eyes flickering with his amusement when she jumped. "Obnoxiously loud, mm? Well, we'll just hope that that's all it does till we get there." Oh yes, he was enjoying himself. She was a quirky thing, now wasn't she? Certainly more amusing to talk to than most he'd met.

"So long as one has a place to hide and keep silent, he's all but invisible--especially if he knows the territory." The Spaniard agreed, unconsciously pulling back on the flirtatious attitude to again flash a hint of that other side he kept so well hidden. "Truer words never spoken. And you've never been? Ahhh, a pity! Remind me--I'll take you when the storm rolls over. S'a good place to relax, eh? Though, awfully boring if you aren't just looking for a place to sit..."

Tossing his head slightly, Luis offered up a rather sly grin, tails swishing as another chuckle purred a little deeper in his chest. "Lady Luck's pullin' the strings today eh? Can't say I mind. Could use a little luck...No fun to wait out a storm without some company, after all. So tell me chica, you know anyone here in the Mountain?" Besides all the freaks that seemed to find him, of course...

((Ahh, with that, I've gotta dash off for the night. xD Thanks very much for the RP Alch, and I expect to continue this with you later! <33 -waves and flees-))

There was that side again, that he kept only seeing flashes of, but was liking more and more, just as much as he liked the flirtatiousness that this Spaniard was so talented with. A laugh escaped him and he nodded, before looking to the sky again when it lit, just a little. His nose wrinkled slightly, tongue sticking out just a bit, as he hoped that it would not begin to rain just yet.

"It seems Lady Luck decided to allow us to meet, but is not quite so sure yet about soaking us to the bone or not," Kaoru commented, flashing a crooked grin at Luis. This male made him talkative, as talkative as his brother made him. It was strange. But interesting. "I've never been to the river, no, but... I would like to go see it after the storm. I'm sure it would look lovely, like that. Hopefully not too muddy."

A shiver danced down his spine as he heard that chuckle, and he blushed just a little, before smiling at Luis in a manner that was just a tad shy. "Ah, I know a few, but not many. My brother, of course. And I've bumped into a few cute little ones, though I haven't seen them much as of late. And now I know you." His smile strengthened into something warm and friendly, and he chuckled quietly. "How about you? Do you have anyone particular who stands out in your mind?"

Yes yes, he got it already--God was going to smite him and damnably soon 'less he hurried along. Luis obligingly picked up his pace, unable to resist cracking a grin at Kaoru's comical expression. "Not one for lightning, eh? 'Fraid I'm no different. Nor do I enjoy getting wet." He chuckled again, unfortunately well-acquainted with the sensation. "She's a tempermental mistress, mm? But I'm well equipped for the job." Blatant ego-stroking, much? Yes, the kitsu chuckled wryly to himself, tossing his head sharply to rid himself of those dark locks that threatened to block his gaze.

"Then I have no choice but to take you, chica! All sorts of interesting things pop up after a storm, what, with the water all churned and frothed up..." The mention of mud, however, was enough to make him wince. "So long as we don't go slipping through it, eh? Aiye-yi-yi, if there's anything worse than wet clothes, it's when they're muddy." Not only did they make him twenty pounds heavier, but it made him feel like a drowned rat...As another warning crackle of thunder rippled along a jagged chariot of lightning, the Spaniard tipped his ears back. "And at this rate, I think she's just about to make up her mind..."

He was quick to pick up on the note of shyness that had easily smoothed itself over the other's mannerisms, quirking a brow while a gentler version of that cocky grin slipped across his muzzle. "Ahh, an hermano, si?" Probably a protective older brother, if anything. Not what he was looking forward to dealing with. "Met a few little ones myself. I'm not much for kids, but..." The Spaniard simply chuckled, shrugging a little. Couldn't help himself, really. Of course, the mention of meeting him was enough to earn another cheeky grin out of the dark-haired kitsu, subtly straightened, careful not to draw too much attention to the action. Yes, strut your heart out, Luis. "Ehh, a few crazies who wouldn't have minded eating me...Some irritating b*****d of a bloke who I just happen to have decided that he's not all that bad..." Despite his words, Luis was still grinning, apparently amused by the memory of Leon Kennedy. Yes, the pretty-boy Americano...Not a bad find at all, if he considered it.
PostPosted: Fri Jun 22, 2007 7:08 pm

"Wet, and muddy clothes can be disposed of," came the simple, soft reply from Kaoru, and he flashed a sly look at Luis, using a bit of his Host Club charm in that response. Then he jumped slightly as thunder cracked overhead, before squeaking as the first drop of rain fell on his nose. "It seems it's time to hurry... Is there a cave near, or is the cabin coming up soon...? We're going to get wet, if not."

The Hitachiin moved closer to Luis, then, as though hoping the other could protect him from the oncoming rain, ears pressing back and tails tucking between his legs a little, steps becoming a little bit quicker. "Ah... not much for kids? I find them cute, so long as they aren't too crazy and they eventually go home to someone else," he replied at last, laughing softly and flicking one ear as a drop of rain fell on it.

"Some sort of crazies? What do you mean?" asked the younger kitsu, giving Luis a curious look now. "What sorts have you attracted? I do hope I'm not one of those crazies..." He laughed, smiling happily.

Well if that didn't have his grin widening..."But of course. What, with a nice fire built up, that could be perfectly cozy..." A single drop of rain struck him sharply on the head, rolling down his spine with icy kisses until his fur was standing on end. "Aiye-yi-yi, so soon?" The Spaniard complained, dark eyes flickering rapidly to the cabin that stood bravely by its lonesome on the flatter part of the mountain trail. "Almost there lovely, just a bit more!" He reassured, his tone rather jovial, but that could have been caused due to Kaoru slipping a bit closer. Ducking his head to offer a gentle nudge to the side of her neck, Luis picked up the pace even more. He certainly had no intentions of getting wet!

"A woman after my own heart!" Came the bemused response, and the dark-haired kitsu laughed as he nudged the cabin door open. "I don't mind kids--just can't stand the thought of having any." Little balls of fluff, calling him 'Daddy' or what not...Feigning a mock shudder, Luis stood to the side, waiting for Kaoru to go inside. Ladies first, eh? Watching her with one, dark eye, the Spaniard broke into another grin, surprised into it. "You, chica? Naaah! You're probably the sanest I've met! Not to mention the most attractive..."

Still chuckling to himself in those rich, sonorous tones, the Spaniard would see to it that the door was shut firmly, tossing his head lightly to gesture down the hall. "There's a fireplace just down there--s'always been lit whenever I've come here. But I've met all sorts of blokes. Usually the ones that feel like eating me would be a good idea." Rolling his eyes playfully, Luis swept down the hall, his paws padding lightly against the creaky floorboards of the cabin. Sure enough, a fire was already crackling merrily, its heat seeping through him like a warm blanket. "Much better." He approved, glancing over his shoulder for Kaoru before seating himself in front of the dancing flames. "Not the best folk for light conversation, eh?"
PostPosted: Fri Jun 22, 2007 8:15 pm

"It seems so soon, yes," grumbled Kaoru, ears flicking as he tried to shake the first icy drops of water from them, only to squeak when one hit between his eyes. Then he flashed a sheepish smile as Luis nudged gently at his neck, lowering his eyes in what he would call a demure manner - playing the submissive was something he had learned long ago when it came to games with his brother, so he had no trouble acting like a shy woman, even if it did sort of bother him.

The younger male laughed and hurried into the cabin, shaking himself off a little and flicking ears and tails, before looking at Luis with a shy smile once more. "There goes that playful tongue of yours again, Luis. Sweet flatterer," he murmured, before purring faintly as he moved down the hall with the other, shivering as the sound of the other's chuckle rolled down his spine. Goodness, he should not be so attracted...

"Ah, much better, yes," the red-haired kitsu replied, moving to sit closer to the fire, fluffing himself just slightly. Then he moved to sit by Luis, leaning against him just slightly. "Light conversation with one who wants to chew on you? I hardly think so. I do believe light conversation should not include taking any sort of n** or bite at the other."

"'Fraid I just can't help myself, Señorita--but for you? I'll try." Luis mused, not at all complaining as the other's slight frame was gently pressed against his side. Such luck he had...His muzzle threatened to twitch into another grin, but he tastefully suppressed the urge. Couldn't very well call himself a womanizer if he was gonna do stupid things to lose the girl, eh? Besides--he wasn't too keen on losing the steps he'd so easily gained already.

Of course, her words had his tails twitching softly with amusement, and the Spaniard quirked his brows. "Oh really? I don't think a n** or two could hurt...but then again, sorta depends on the mood, doesn't it?" He was grinning broadly at that point, knowing that he was dancing dangerously close to that fine line that women seemed to have about relationships and such. But he'd always been a bit of a risk taker, mm? He also contented himself with the fact that it'd been she to lean him first--not the other way around.

"This bloke didn't seem to have a bottom jaw, however." The Spaniard idly noted, looking almost unconcerned as he eyed the crackling flames, dropping his head to better speak softly into one of Kaoru's ears. "Big blue fellow, eh? Looked like he was rotting where he stood...Do me a favor and avoid him, chica? Not a nice sort for you to get mixed up with. Unless of course, you're into that sorta thing..."
PostPosted: Sat Jun 23, 2007 4:07 pm

Kaoru purred softly and snuggled just a little bit closer to Luis, shameless in this game. The other was just too sweet, really, and he was used to womanizing enough that he found it adorable in some cases - namely in the case of this Luis Sera.

"Ah! Such... nearly naughty things to say," he said then, laughing softly and smiling playfully now, clearly not offended at all by what the Spaniard said. This game was becoming almost too easy, too simple, like he didn't even have to try... "I suppose a n** or two, in the right mood, wouldn't be... too bad."

Then he paused, giving Luis a confused look, only to pause and shiver as Luis whispered so smoothly into his ear. "Ah... all right. I'll keep this in mind, Luis. Trouble isn't exactly something I look for, unless I'm absolutely sure that I'd be able to get out of it safely. But I really try to avoid those who can harm me."

A soft, musing sound thrummed deep in his chest as she snuggled closer, and Luis contentedly allowed himself to nuzzle behind one of those ears, pleased by the silky feel of fur. Ahh, he was just as shameless--more so in the fact that this was not the first woman he'd done this to, and certainly not the last. But he was focused on the now, it seemed: thinking of past loves only turned the moment into something bitter.

"Nearly." The Spaniard agreed, his tails swishing in an amused sort of way against the worn, creaking floorboards of the cabin. So, a woman that didn't mind a little play, eh? He'd met a few--and it always made it more enjoyable. "You just need someone with a little experience..." Luis reassured, craning his neck some to n** just behind the other's ear, making sure not to let his teeth pinch.

He drew back some, one dark eye sliding smoothly over her features, as though weighing the truth of her words. "You don't seem the type for trouble, eh? But keep an eye out on him for me...Wouldn't be surprised if he tried to take a chunk out of you too, chica." Luis exhaled slowly at the thought that that thing was still lurking out there, how close it had come to...well, doing whatever nasty thing it had wanted to do to him.
PostPosted: Sat Jun 23, 2007 5:34 pm

Kaoru purred softly, low in his chest and bowed his head a little to allow the gentle nuzzling from Luis. This was just too much fun... in more ways than one, though he wasn't quite sure he was willing to admit such just yet. He was dedicated to his brother, through and through, and it made him feel... strange to think that he could be attracted to anyone but his brother.

One of Kaoru's tails moved to twin with one of Luis's for just a moment, before he drew back once more, an innocent expression on his face. "Ah, yes... experience is always good. And I'm sure you have plenty of such, right, Luis...?" he asked softly, offering a coy, but definitely playful smile again. Then his breath caught and his fur fuzzed just slightly as Luis nipped behind his ear, eyes slipping closed as he immediately felt some measure of desire go through him.

"I'll do my best to be safe..." he whispered when he felt that he had the strength to speak without his voice catching or sounding too husky. He was ridiculous, really, falling to these charms this easily... "I promise."

Luis was tangled in a blanket of his own thoughts, musing quietly over this unexpected bout of luck. To go from wondering if this godforsaken Mountain had any females at all to finding himself in such a favorable situation...It was more than enough to soothe his ruffled temper. Dark tails twitched wistfully when the lighter crimson withdrew itself, gently flicking themselves on top of the other's, even as a thoughtful grin slowly slipped itself across Luis' face. Yes, she did have a pleasant smile, he decided with a silent hint of a chuckle, shaking his head some. "You've figured me out, chica...Can't say I'm too shy to admit it though, eh? Good experience, in my opinion." Of course it would be.

What a delightful reaction! If that didn't have him laughing softly, affectionately nudging the other's shoulder, then nothing would. Of course, the situation did have him sober up some, quietly watching Kaoru's face for a moment before he leaned closer, gently nuzzling the side of her face. "Gracias, chica. Means more to me than you could imagine."

Ahh, geez, he was starting to get fond of this one, now wasn't he? Just as well. Luis didn't like getting too intimate with women unless he felt like he could really start to like them--even if whatever relationship they would have wouldn't last more than a few days, at most. But even so...he felt something ease inside him a bit, something soften once he knew that she'd given her trust to him. She'd trust the words of a newly-met stranger, despite the fact that she hardly knew a thing about him. And to Luis...well, that was enough to make him feel truly relaxed for the first time in a while.
PostPosted: Sat Jun 23, 2007 6:33 pm

Kaoru wasn't sure where the line of game-feelings and true-feelings had blurred, but it was making him just a little bit nervous deep inside, while on the outside he was still playing the game, adding a touch of his true feeling to it all now. Hikaru was probably going to tease him so much, once he found out... He watched Luis as the other shook his head, before chuckling softly and purring in his ear, leaning against him a bit more. "Luis, I don't think you could be shy if you tried."

A soft laugh came from him with those words and he smiled up at the other male, before his smile faded a little when he saw how serious the other looked, worried that something was about to be said... Then he smiled again and turned his head to nuzzle Luis in return, a soft rumbling sound of contentment coming from his chest. "You're welcome, Luis. Really. I'll be as careful as I can be."

"My brother would tease me so much for how soft I'm getting over you," he said then, smiling sheepishly and nibbling very lightly at Luis's ear. "He would say, "Kaoru, you're being such a ridiculous boy!'"

... Uh-oh.

Kaoru blinked once, before drawing back slightly, a sheepish grin curling on his lips. "Uh.."

This chica did know how to play his game...A pleasant shiver rippled down his spine at the soft words in his ear, earning another silvery chuckle from the male. "Oooh, so cooold...Not even gonna give me the benefit of the doubt, eh? Can't say I blame you." How easy he could shift through moods! It was almost as though he was wearing different masks, shuffling through each one whenever the time came to do so.

"See that you do." The Spaniard said with mock-sterness, flicking his tails at the other. "Don't think I won't come hunt you down for it, eh?" The nibbling was received with an appreciative murr in his throat, listening with some amusement to Kaoru. "Your brother, eh? He'd--" Dark eyes went wide for a moment as Luis jerked his head back, staring at what he thought to be a lovely female.

"...Boy?" He finally managed to say, pushing himself to his feet as a cold, bone-numbing sort of horror doused him thoroughly of any warm, fuzzy feelings he'd had just seconds before. "You...You aren't...?" His stomach was writhing like he'd swallowed hot coals before it promptly curled up upon itself and began to shrivel, much like his pride. Silently, Luis stared at Kaoru for a moment more, then shook his head, shoulders stiff as he silently swept towards the door, unable to even force that 'clever tongue' of his to allow him to speak.

Kaoru immediately looked sheepish, trying to offer a smile to Luis, only to squeak in surprise as the other moved to leave, alarm dropping over him like a heavy weight. He had really messed up this time... But what could he say?

"I'm sorry," the young Hitachiin spoke quickly, scrambling to his feet and over to Luis, sliding in front of the door in hopes of blocking the other from stepping out. "I'm really sorry, Luis. I didn't mean to upset you, I just... It's in my nature to play tricks, and I couldn't resist, but.. I'm just making a fool of myself, aren't I?"

A weak smile curled on the kitsu's lips and he sat down carefully, looking up at Luis with an almost sad gaze. "I lied to you, and I know that's wrong. But... but I wasn't faking everything."

Now that the slapping shock was starting to fade, a soft p***k of anger was beginning to roil through his veins, only igniting once Kaoru slipped in front of the door as though to block him. "Didn't mean to upset?" Luis managed to hiss through gritted teeth, his ears pinned and his tails slowly swishing in a dangerous sort of way. "I like women, kid. But christ, for you to just--just go on like that, and me not knowing a damn thing?" His voice had risen near the end, and perhaps that was the reason he bit off his words, angrily twisting his head away to glare at the wall to his side.

"Is that really any better?" Luis found himself snapping his head back around to stare at the kid with narrowed eyes, his shoulders tense and his fur beginning to bristle. "So what? You got yourself attached and you think I'm gonna--" The Spaniard whipped his head away again, slowly counting to three while his nails raked at the wood underneath his feet, a deep breath filtering in through his lungs. "...Look chico."

Casually, the Spaniard seated himself, tilting his head up to the ceiling, a grin slipping across his face for a minute. "...I don't know what you were doing, and I don't think I want to, eh? So. You tricked me, and now I gotta go nurse a wounded ego." And mentally berate himself for days, on top of that. But he didn't want to stay here--not if it meant shuddering with himself in disgust every time he looked at this kid. How could he not have known?
