Rina was not quite sure when she had reached the point where the mountains behind her were no longer visible through the tall grass she walked though, but it must have been recently.

She had no markers now, to tell her the direction from which she had come, nor the direction to which she was headed. She did not care, though. She had no place she was leaving, no place to arrive in. It was the journey that was important. It was making sure she never spent so much time in one place, she took the beauty and awe and wonder of it all for granted. Earlier, it had been mountains, and before that, forest, back when she had been a kit.

And now, it was tall golden grass, stretching over her head. It was interesting, to be so unaware of what was happening around her. But then, she doubted anything big enough to be a threat to her could see her all that well, either.

Or perhaps it could. There were plenty of golden cats, big enough to take on a full grown modifox, while her coat of mostly white would barely help her blend in at all.

Best hope the predators were not starving, then, and keep her ears trained to listen for the slightest sound of movement.

Arela padded slowly forward, barely acknowledging the change from the open foothills of the mountains to the tall, thick, golden grasses of the plains. Rustling through the yellow stalks, Arela made herself alert for any sort of threat, or anything she could be a threat to.
The grasses were even taller this far into the grassland, which didn't unnerve Arela, but did bother her to a degree. She was used to being able to use the sun or the stars to find out...
"Where the Hell am I?" She seethed, trying to see through the dence stalks of the grass.

Jhonty laid down in the tall grass panting. He had been lost since the later hours of the morning. Giving a short five minutes rest to look up at the sky from behind his locks, the water from his mouth drooled down his long tongue and painted the bottom of his hair. The sun sets in the west, right? Or was it east? Jhonty continued panting, not caring anymore.

Jhonty stopped panting for a second. Rustling in the grass to the right brought his ears to attention. Standing up he tried to peer over the top of the blades to see who was coming.

Arela passed through some more grasses before she heard him. Panting? She thought. Arela loooked around, but the grasses were still blocking her veiw.
She flicked her ear to find the direction of the sound, but the panting had ceased.
Taking a few more steps forward she spokked part of a brown, moddeled thing. A few more steps to get a better look and she was taked aback. 'Thats a fox!?' She said as she saw the ears and part of shoulders.

Rustling from two directions. From one direction, she thought that perhaps she heard a voice. From the other, merely panting. The first was most likely another moidfox, in that case, but the second one...She was not quite certain what it was.

And then there was the sound of the first thing, the one that was probably a modifox, going to look at the other. Perhaps she should follow, too?

Yes, she ought to see who else was in the grass.

Following the noise the other two creatures had made, Rina came upon two modifoxes (good, the second thing had not been some predator), although one had a rather interesting look about him.

"Hello," she called out to the pair, waiting to see if they were friendly or not. They bore no tattoos, and thus belonged to no tribe. But that did not necessarily prevent them from claiming that this land was their own.

Arela tore her eyes away from looking at the mottled bundle, still trying to dicern if it even was a Modifox.
"Hello." She said flatly, looking over at Rina. "And you are...?" She finished with an emotionless stare.

Jhonty raised an eyebrow at the two foxes. He hadnt seen anyone all day and then two at once, from different directions?

"Hey, the name's Jhonty. Either of you travel much?"
PostPosted: Wed Jun 13, 2007 1:28 pm

The first was emotionless. That could indicate either great anger or sadness. She would have to be careful around this other vixen, then.

The dog modifox, though, seemed much friendlier.

"My name is Rina. And yes, I do travel quite a bit." She waited for Jhonty to explain why he had asked, what knowledge he might perhaps need from her.

"Great! Being new around these areas i've no clue where i'm going. Not that I can see anything anyway..." He broke into a weezey laugh that shook his untamed mop of hair. "You're a pretty lady, both of you." A full set of teeth grin out through the hair

"Arela," Arela responded to Jhonty's introduction. "and I travel a signifigant amount myself." She said coolly unconcerned.

Arela gave him an indifferent look at the compliment, having no care as to what the male thought of her. "Where are you from anyway. " She said nonchalantly, but the first thing that came to mind was a trash bin.

Rina did not bother to comment on how obviously Jhonty could not see, with his hair in such a state. It would be rude and pointless.

"Do you have any particular destination in mind?" Rina asked Jhonty. She was unfamiliar with this area, but if he at least knew the direction in which he wished to travel, she could aid him that much.

The other vixen seemed to have such an attitude about her. Rina wondered at it, yet would not pry into it. They were hardly acquainted, at it would be rude to ask questions of the other--of Arela.

To pry, no doubt, would only further annoy the other, and so Rina refrained from prying, letting her imagination provide answers, wrong as they probably were.

Arela was deep in her own thoughts, but perfectly keen to keep track of expressions or gestures the other Foxes made. Arela concluded that this Jhonty whomever was a waste of time, but Rina might know where they were, not that Arela was inclined to ask.
She, she resided in the fact that both of them were a waste of time and why she was still here anyway.
Not that she didn't have time to waste, which lead her to the conclusion of sticking around to find out what these characters could do.

"Do tell." Was all she wished to comment to Jhonty.

"I'm from a group of snowy mountains. Pretty far out man. Just come by here looking for some fresh faces, some pretty lady faces" The grin came back again. "Perhaps you two would like to join me on an adventure or two. Could be fun."

Jhonty, realizing he had more of an effect on Rina, turned to her and peered over the top of his glasses. "Do you have any pretty places in mind. Singing birds, water, tasty flowers?" Jhonty began imagining resting under a tree at sunrise with chicks chirping and a few kits running around playfully.

Rina listened politely to the other two. The other vixen seemed cold, but the dog fox was much more open.

"An adventure could be fun. Although sometimes adventures can become a bit too much." She twitched her tail, covered with scars in front of Jhont's face (since it seemed that somehow he could see through all that hair.)

"I do not think I have come across anywhere in the world that was not beautiful. The mountains which I recently left, a forest before that...Even the Metropolis of the humans has some grace to it." Even if most of what appealed to her about that place was the art painted on the walls by the foxes of the Sanguine Syndicate, and rebellious humans.

Arela had no intention of going anywhere with the dog fox, nor her fellow vixen. This pair was another bothersome waste of time. But Arela still could not thing of anything better to do.
Despite the empasizing words of Rina, Arela had never seen light or beauty in the world (not with those stupifiying foxes to ruin it) other than that of the moon and that of blood, maybe art and music as well. She felt no qualms in wanting to kill things, and wanted to be rid of these two. But depite her intentions, she decided to tag along, should she be asked directly.
