Many thousand years ago, the great moon Tethe'alla brought upon peace with her light. However, a war broke out, causing the moon's light, to eventually die away. The Goddess, upon that moon, however, sent her angels to gather the last remaining emissaries of peace to welcome them to her land. They were called, the Karmics. She bestowed upon each Karmic, a peace giving power, and all, the power of a mystic. Her spells, her magic, and the power of her light, was now in their hands. Thus is the mark, of the beginning of the Karmic race.

Or that's how the story of the emissaries go. Today, the teachings of the Karmic race are being taught to Karmics, and humans alike in the school of mystics. The school was found by one of the emissaries Dederick Naltes. At first, it was a school for only Karmics, as seen as humans did not have the skills of a Karmic, however since recent discoveries of an ancient mineral stone, which give humans the power to unlock their hidden potential have been made, the school has accepted humans into their campus for the past fifty years.

-School Grounds



Outside the school are two botanical gardens, two pools, although one of the pools is currently undergoing repair maintenance. It also has a small store just on the border of campus grounds to buy school supplies. Another store to buy room supplies and furniture. There are two restaurants within school campus grounds, a cafe` and a diner. The school, is surrounded by a field on the west side, and a lake on the east side, and a barrier surrounds the school for a five mile radius to keep students from leaving.

School Rules
-Students are to have an maximum of 8, one hour classes, and a minimum of three, one hour classes.
-All students, unless granted permission by an administrator are to not be in the halls after 10:30 P.M
-Students have approximately Ten minutes to get from one class to the other at passing bell
-All Students are to stay inside campus grounds during lunch breaks
-Unsupervised spell duels are absolutely prohibited. Only administrators are allowed to supervise, no exceptions!
-Students are not allowed to leave campus or dorms during school semesters unless accompanied by an adult or administrator.

Finally, the end of the day. Max, skipping lunch, slugged his way to his dorm. He picked up a book, then quickly plopped down on his bed. The surrounding surface of the bed followed the mark of his back as it landed on it, making waves on the sheets and blankets. He sighed. "I'll get to my homework later." He smiled, and continued reading "The Beast and the Beauty"

Max was again, asleep, with his book laid atop him while he breathed heavily. He always was a sound sleeper, the most noise he ever made was during a night terror he had only once, but that was it.

He turned on his side, the book falling off the side of the bed and onto the floor. "Wha-" He opened his eyes, realizing the time. "Homework!" Max shouted. He ducked his head, turned around, and realized he wasn't the only one in the room. "Sorry," Max waved "I fell asleep."

He quickly went to his small study, turned on a lamp, then pulled out all his text books and started writing like mad. "'Es filia et maximus,"' Max muttered to himself, translating English into Latin.

Max woke up to a startle. His head pounded with sharp pains, yet at the same time it was calm, and fogged like. It was always this way in the mornings. He knew that the feelings he usually felt weren't his own. Max shot up, rubbing his temples. He slowly concentrated himself, reaching a meditative state.


Max looked at his hands, they were his, yet they were cold from the cold hands of the people downstairs. "I hate this power." he muttered to himself. He hated it, absolutly. His power was nothing but grief to him. He rubbed his hands together, shaking all feelings off. He looked at the clock... Nearly seven o'clock. "Might as well get to class early." He breathed.

He got out of bed, walking as light footed as he could, careful not to bother his new room mate. He tip-toed to the bathroom, took a quick shower, brushed his teeth, put on some clothes and went straight on his first class, Runes.
