So I figured why not start a thread for people who play instruments to come and talk about the songs they've written or the songs they can play.
I'd rather talk about the things I can play than the things I've written. Because. I'm shy like that.
I was inspired by the fact that I decided that I needed to know how to play Cancer about...4 minutes ago. I pretty much have it down.
What can you guys play?
(no, cancer is not the only song I can play, but it's what inspired me.) So yeah.
Discuss: Playing, writing, singing, all other creative music forms.

I play the cello! Or, I did up untill last year when I graduated (I don't actually OWN a cello, hence the lack of playing ._.)
I've never written any of my own stuff though. I can play sheet music (perferably knowing the rythm of the song beforehand) but I have no inner ear for music whatsoever. It's sad ;_;

I bet you can do it better than you think. Music is easy. You just need to try, and to feel it. Anyone can do anything really. >.<

No, it's true! I can't hit notes and my voice squeaks and goes flat and breaks and stuff.

That's why I'm better off an alto. My throat can easily get irritated when I sing high notes.

The only time I can hit a note is when it's fairly low (but not too low) and I'm singing really quietly. I think that counts as failing at singing.

*smacks dod with a fish* You shut up now.
i'm a sopalto. I like singing. I don't even really care if I"m good at it anymore. I just do it.
That's the main thing. If you like it, just do it, and you'll get better at it. No one is perfect right away. Unless you're chuck norris.
or.. Jesus. But we all know what we did to jesus. Man if that guy wasn't who we thought he was... oops.

I'm sure there's a 12-step out there for you. The first step is admitting you have a porblem!
