The Official Gaia Art Whore Guild is proud to announce the launch of our new program of monthly artist sponsorship. Each month, we will be featuring one or two artists who will be setting up shop here in the guild and catering exclusivly to guild members. As we have a lot of members and slots may be limited, please be considerate of your fellow art whores and limit yourself to one spot on the artist's waitlist at a time. Let's do be sure to keep them both busy all month though! With that said, let's all welcome our first guinee pig sponsored artist, heibai!

Hi there!
whooooooo~ -feels a bit overwhelmed at being chosen as a sponsored artist- lol x3 !!
umm... first of all, I'd like to introduce myself. I'm heibai, hei, hb, etc... xDD (shh... heibai's real name is not spoken... ninja ) I'm 16-years-old and live in Southern California (SoCal!! <3) and my dream is to become a mangaka. Not that that'll happen this lifetime lol. But more realistically, I'd love to become a lawyer. My hobbies include drawing, playing the piano, reading and hanging out with my friends. I especially love being on the staff of my high school newspaper. <33333
I've been drawing for pretty much a long time. My parents tell me how much I used to doodle on the walls in our first home lol. xDD I got into anime/manga when my friends first introduced me to it about five years ago and have been a huge fan ever since. (Maybe I'll post my first ever anime-style attempts for a laugh) xD My favorite mangaka include (but certainly are not limited to) CLAMP, Takeshi Obata, Ai Yazawa, Nobuhiro Watsuki, Hiromu Arakawa, Masashi Kishimoto and Tite Kubo. There are many, many Gaian artists who inspire me as well... *0* (j A d e d, prodigy bombay, l i g h t, kidchan, alicechan, bw-inc, mint tea, etc, etc.)

Hmmm...I was wanting to get a traditional media halfbody, but I'll try out this art of the shadow doppleganger bit ^.^ I do have a question though. Would it be possible for me to pay you the sealed by simply donating for the letter once the picture is finished? Or would you rather I go ahead and get the letter now and send it over a trade instead? Either way is fine, I just thought that if I could donate it directly to you it would save the hassle of you having to wait for me to confirm the trade before you have it.
