Updates!
Oct 7th, 2007 -> It is with a heavy heart that I, Mousira, creator and founder of Elemental Dreams is stepping down from the shop. I wish the best to all here, and encourage those reading this to check out their stuff. A lot of talent here that very few seem to be pushing. (They need commissions to push their boundries!)
Chaos is open, though I do not know if any in the shop wish to take my former spot. That's up to them. Adios.
June 3rd, 2007 -> Wow, umm... ok. I totally forgot to update this for a bit. We've recently lost two members; Death and Heaven. And with so heavy a loss, instead of looking for new artists to replace both, Hell has switched to Death and we've fallen back to our original 9, plus guest artists.
Guest Artist slots are still open, btw.
The banner project has been restarted and should be along soon for everyone to finish. And hopefully we'll have that up in a month or two max. (Week-timelimit given to each artist to finish their part)
But, as always... the shop is open for business. Also, be on the lookout for a ED Contest and possibly another ED auction soon!

January 6th, 2007 -> Welcome to the new year. Some minor changes are still being made to the shop, but overall, I'm hoping everything will be done by the time ED's birthday rolls around.
Speaking of which, we know that we wanna do something for his birthday, but we're still undecided on what. So be sure to keep checking in up until Jan 30th!

Oct 2nd, 2006 -> First of all, Grats to Sonny for winning the Auction a la Continuation. Next, we're getting close to voting day for the next ED artists out of those who applied in our Recruitment Thread. So there is still a bit of time to sign up if you'd like to join us. ^-^
Finally, I wish to announce that we'll be having a week long celebration for reopening. This will start October 6th, as I wish to check with the ED artists (new and old) and see what they'd like to have happen during that week. ^-^ Thanks for reading and supporting ED, now and into the future.

Sept 24th, 2006 -> Alright... it's Mousira, and this non-updateness for a while is my bad. With the auction going on, and soon to end, we're pushing forward to hopefully move about and redesign our current shop. Hopefully in this, it'll be easier to read, more eye-catching, and definately more interesting to you.
There may be some artists leaving us... which means slots will be open for new folks to join us. (So artists, be on the lookout!) But overall, we hope to maintain our friendly, family-like atmosphere within the shop for ourselves and all of you. ^o^

Chaos will be downgrading to pencil works only for a short time (Art block on CG), and much more! Hi everyone!

Good news! My slots are now re-opening. I will only be taking headshots, busts, and half-bodies for the moment, though. I need practice on my full bodies before I open those slots back up and also my work is just too demanding right now and I don't want you to be waiting for ages for your commission. smile

The good news is, I'm adding to my repertoire. You may now order speedpaints! These will be rough and sketchy and not as refined as a finished piece. I am offering them to help me practice my lineless colouring techniques. Speedpaint headshots will be 5k per. Busts/Halfbodies will be 10k-15k depending on the difficulty. No fullbodies for the moment as above.

Finally, expect this post to change and be updated soon! Prices may change and/or be reworked, but it shouldn't be anything -too- drastic!

Once, in the blackest reaches of the Ullen, where Chaos lay twisting its insatiable belly and the Gates to Ekbasia lay not far off, a rift appeared in the fabric of propinquity.
Within, amid the hanging emptiness of Space itself, there was light. Although the light was not that bright, it lit the vastness of the Chaos beyond its small domain, and little by little it gained ground. At the heart of this limbo, this Space, a small creature beat its six wings of light, and with each beat the stars pulsed and quivered, and the creature raised its beneficent head. It was only by relentless concentration that the small creature managed to keep the Chaos at bay, and while ever distracted by it, and tired by it, the small creature of Space did not lose hope, and did not Falter. Surrender, adversity, trial, these were not concepts enough to fetter Space.
And so the small creature began to build pinions and supports and columns of beauty to support its growing kingdom. It built beauty of every kind: massive winged pillars of Virtue; tiny, hard-working creatures of Vigilance; gentle Patience and its hard-working brother, Perseverance; all these and more the small creature created, crafted with its swift hands, its critical eye.
And to each it gave a name, and in naming them granted them power, and in granting them power, the small creature stepped back to let them run Space, and it took to its quiet corner and began to create small gifts for those who would offer tribute. Art. Such a simple word, but those small creations brought joy to those that received them, and that gratitude was as great an offering as the riches that purchased the small creature's efforts.
That small creature was me.

Hallo, I'm Taro Rae, but just Taro is fine by me. I'm an artist, obviously. A long time ago I used to have an art shop on Gaia, and kinda let it fall by the wayside when I opened my Breedables Game, Empyreans. Almost all of the art I've done in the last two years has been either for Empyreans Game, or Commissions for the Empyreans players, or other breedables shop owners in trades, and of course the occasional Art Contest.

So, How's about a quick low-down on what constitutes Taro:
Please call me: Taro
Age: 22
Location: Canada baby!
Style: Manga generally, although I also do fantasy semi-realism if the case calls for it, and this can include anything from anthro to monsters.
Medium: I do all my lines by hand, then scan them in, and then colour them with Photoshop CS2. I do, on special request use traditional media, but mostly of the ink and graphite variety. I can use coloured pencils, markers, copics, watercolours, or mixed media, but really that comes with a hefty price as it takes forever.
References: Talk's all well and good, but it doesn't really paint a good picture, as it were. So, here's my DA.

Other Examples
~I prefer to draw OCs, including RP characters, original manga story/novel characters, Breedables custom pets, and head-folk.
~I will draw Avatars, but i don't prefer to. you will likely not get as creative compositioning and style unless i personally like the outfit.
~I prefer to draw boys, as i like to make them delicious. I am capable of doing girls, no doubt, but they're not as much fun.
~I will not draw complicated machinations, full composition Backgrounds, anything that breaks the Gaia rules, without bribes, and if it is not socially acceptable (such as smutty materia) I will not post it here for pick-up.

Once I have confirmed your order, I will update my Slot list to show your name, what you've ordered, and how much it will cost.
