The Holonet Announcements The free flow of information is the biggest necessity of a multi-faceted roleplay, and this thread is meant to not only relay important facts, but also announce plot bunnies and other info which can-- and should-- be taken advantage of IC.
This thread will only be updated by mods. If you have a wonderful idea which you believe should be here, PM Sephiroth_2000, ElladanKenet and they and you will talk it over.

Storyline so far:
The Republic received a message from one of their spy's that a Force Weapon of mass destruction was on the planet Kalist VI, hidden in one of the old abandoned cities. The Galactic Alliance, feeling this was the single greatest threat it had seen for generation sent almost their entire fleet to take control of the weapon. The Jedi agreed to help as well sensing something in the force that would endanger the lives of many they sent almost all the Jedi to Kalist VI. Many of the masters of the council however stayed behind, believe that with the Alliance fleet gone they would have to stay and protect the republic.
The Imperial Fleet, who had also gotten word from a spy about this weapon dispatched the fleet to Kalist VI to help the Dark Jedi gain control; believe it will help them defeat the Alliance. The Dark Jedi wanted it for a clear reason, a weapon of such power could allow them to destroy the Jedi once and for all.
However the force weapon was nothing but a trap set by the Oronar Fleet, a Fleet commanded by a man who calls himself "Onary." Onary wears Jedi-like robes but are completely gray, many do not understand why he wears that since he clearly hates force users as he stated at the senate. Using a perfectly timed attack while the Alliance and imperial forces were busy destroying one another, the Oronar Fleet dropped out of hyperspace and destroyed both fleets within minutes. Only a few Jedi and Dark Jedi were able to get away with their lives...
The Story Today:
The Remaining RAlliance and Imperial Fleets have put aside their differences and have come together under the banner of "The Resistance." The Resistance is made up of the remaining Republic and Imperial fleets, as well as any others they will fight the Oronar Empire.
The Jedi have run to a hidden Enclave of Dantooine, that has not been used for thousands for years, thus no one knows about it. The Dark Jedi have regrouped now believing them selfs to all be Sith they have gone to the Dxun Moon to rebuild and come back stronger then ever.
The Oronar Empire now controls all of the former Imperial space, and controls them much like the empire did thousands of years ago. There is now a bounty out of Jedi and Sith, many bounty hunters are looking for them, hoping to become very rich very fast. However they are not alone, Apprentices trained by Onary are also looking for the Jedi and the Sith. These apprentices are dress in gray robes just like their master and use the force, both light and dark. For them the Jedi and the Sith are nothing but weak fools they will have no problem bringing back to their master....dead or alive.

Announcement: Obra-Skai Archives ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Many apologies to those of you who don't appreciate hearing word from the mods, but this is, in my opinion, the best way to convey a message to everyone, short of PMing the entire guild. Getting to the matter, there are two new threads dedicated to the Main Roleplay: the Obra-Skai Archives and Discussion threads. Essentially, these are two archival threads on basic information pertaining to our Roleplay, and/or all other Star Wars roleplays. It is, at its heart, an archive of member-created entries based on canon or fanon Star Wars material. Wanna check it out for yourself? Go Here

Time Skip Announced

The mods have known about it for some time, and I'm finally making the official announcement, now that we're all ready.
As of this Friday, September 19, 2008 at 11:59 PM, there will be a three month timeskip in the roleplay, to prepare for the next phase of the action.
Thus, we'd like to ask that everyone has all of their work and roleplaying at a stopping point by this time.

New RP

Mmkay guys, the new RP is up and running.
All the details are in the Roleplay Application thread, but let's go ahead and cap it all here.
Basically, we're roleplaying the Galactic Civil War, from a few years before Star Wars, up until 19 years after Star Wars. The catch? No main characters.
That means no Vader, no Luke Skywalker, no Leia, etc. Any and everyone who was important plays a backseat role and are only referenced. Instead, we're focusing on all the small stuff that happened. Like....:
How the Rebellion got the X-Wing and Mon Cal Cruiser.
How horrible the trenches of Hoth were during the Battle of Hoth.
The countless rebellions on various planets.
How the empire collapsed on itself and the New Republic rose up.
And many more?
Want in on the action? Come on, we know you wanna.

Quite a few stuff to announce, actually.
For starters, the first mission is long over, and we're already working on Missions 2-4. Yay!
Also, as a forewarning to you guys, like all roleplays, this is a freeplay. I.e., the Rebels might not win the Battle of Endor, or lose the Battle of Hoth. Everything depends on the roleplayers and how they act. So, if noone participates and helps either side out, then you might find history getting changed.
Also, since she forgot to announce it, mod K-Blade is on holiday for the next week. She'll be back Monday, March 30.
