So.. this is probably really, really, really old news. (Considering that it was the top of the charts in what 1990?)
And, knowing me, I probably placed it in the wrong forum to boot...
But I just wanted to know if anyone else finds this song as entertaining/weird as I do.

I just downloaded it and listened to it. The song is interesting, to say the least. Good for a laugh, though.

I remember my local PBS station was offering the UK single as a pledge drive item way back when. I think the guy said it made it all the way to #2 on the UK music chart.
Anyway, I have this song on the History of the JAMS CD. There's an alternate version on the CD called 'Gary Glitter in the TARDIS', which uses the same music, but the words are all different. I should perhaps mention that Scottish rapping makes me ill... gonk
Plus, Gary Glitter makes me ill because he's a creepy *****.

I'm sure someone posted this up way back when the guild first started (that must be something close to three years ago now O__o) and it's hardly likely to have changed much since then but...well. It still rocks =D

Actually it was the top of the British Rock charts all the way back in 1988 :3
Which is really freaky if you think about it o-o'
And the song's about half-way between uber-creepy and just plain awesome...

I've got that on my iPod, straight after the Doctor Who soundtrack album. It reached Number One in the UK singles chart 18 June 1988 and stayed there for one week. The Timelords were an early incarnation of KLF. The sample on it is from the Sweet hit Blockbuster, which went to Number One in the UK singles chart on 27 January 1973 and stayed there for five weeks. The episode of Doctor Who broadcast nearest to the single being in the charts was Episode One of Remembrance Of The Daleks (5 October 198 cool .
There you go, useless information too!

It's a fun song. Who doesn't enjoy running cheesy Daleks over with an old police car?

I bought that CD (it was a little bitty one) at a con years ago. This is a great song to blast out of a stereo when you're in a furious, horrible, frustrated mood. I had a bad job back then & if my parents weren't home when I got home from work, I started blasting it over & over til I felt a little better.
What the heck is that the Daleks say, anyway?

Hang on, I'll find out... *scrolls through iPod* Can't believe I'm doing this...
OK, first bit, they say 'Exterminate! Bosh bosh bosh! Lone symphony!' I think...
Then they say 'You what? You what? You what? You what? You what? You what? Exterminate!'
'We obey no one! We are the superior beings!'
Then back to the 'You what? You what?' and 'Bosh bosh bosh! Lone symphony!'
Then 'The Daleks!' when it's fading out.
