But worth every penny! Actually, we could calculate how far you'd have to drive it before you got your money's worth... 2¢ a gallon compared to $3.00ish.

I think I saw something about this in Popular Science. *checks Pop Sci* Hey! Yes, it did! Appearently it has 6831 laptop batteries as its power source.

I hate being in debt. 3nodding This thing looks hella cool but there's no way I could afford it. sweatdrop I think one day they'll make more affordable electric cars though. 3nodding

You know, they say that they sold out of their first production of them, but that shouldn't be too hard when they were only planning to make between 2000 and 3000 in the first place.

It`s nice. I kind of prefer the classics though. (even though they take more gas) What they could do is take some of the older models & make them safer and more fuel efficient.

an old inventor here who has a business that makes airplane instruments made his own electric car from a Morris Minor.
the trunk is full of big deep cycle batteries; he only gets 50 mph top speed (and really poor acceleration, unlike the Tesla) and can drive for most of a day without a charge.
but he has to drive in a loop so he gets back before the power fades since there's nowhere but his shop that can recharge him.
