This thread is intended for guild members to post suggestions as to what thing guild could have, needs, etc.
We have had a slowdown in posting and this thread can be an place to brainstorm on how we can get everyone active.
Thanks! biggrin

I've been wanting to make/start a House rp, but I have no idea where the players would/could go to get information on different and mysterious illnesses. Can anyone help?

That's a good idea, but I'm not sure where you'd get information. Maybe Web MD? I'm not sure they'd go into enough detail, but its worth a shot.

Rejoice Fans of House! I think I'm just about ready to start writing my first House Fan-Fic. Sadly, this will also be my first Fan-Fiction period so I may need a lot of input and practice. But I'm thinking if this one works out well enough then I may turn it into a script for a possible future audio dramatazation. So be ready.

I love the idea of a House role play. It would kick start the guild a little bit in my opinion. The only problem, as the other person said would be coming up with non relationship type things to keep the story flowing. There is WebMD, and other such medical sites out there that people can browse through to find interesting things, but we would need full guild participation. Everyone would play someone, doctor, patient, family, friend, etc. Except, since I'm kind of a role play guru here, no mary-sue or gary-sue characters. I'm sure most of you know what I mean but to clarify... no characters like: House's long lost girlfriend from when he was in medical school who got amnesia and yet still loves him so she comes to find him and he instantly loves her again and everyone loves her and.. yeah you get the picture. None of those. I dislike those. Made up characters, of course! Just not like.. ridiculously sue-ish. They could know House, Cameron, etc from somewhere, perhaps the past (med school, patient treatment, etc) but nothing stupid like.. 'omg you know me im your cousin who secretly loves you but you dont know it!' Oy, and there I go in details again, sorry ahead of time for that, I would love some input on this! sweatdrop

He's given me some very interesting ideas for illnesses that could be used in something like a story or rp.

There are plenty of placeson livejournal, greatestjournal, and various other journal and chat groups where you can roleplay house. There might even be a House RP guild on Gaia by now. If there is not, you are welcome to start one, but let's not mix discussion and roleplaying. I'd rather not have it in here. People would get confused.

You could always make a subforum and put the roleplaying topics in there. (Another guild I'm in did that and it makes the forum look so much neater.)

I like the idea of a House RP Subforum. We have plenty of gold in the guild account to make one. I vote for that. It might bring some more poeple in here and make the guild more active. ^^
I also like the idea of a random, OT, chat thread.

An alternative to the House RP. A guess the disease game! Using WebMD, you can list of early onset symptoms. Then, after a guess at what the disease is, another symptom is added if it is wrong. Repeat until cured or dead. The "doctor" to get it correct then becomes the "patient". If the patient dies, the postion is up for grabs by the next poster. Or the patient could choose. Or whatever.
