I let a friend borrow my copy of KH2, & I finally got it back, but when I tried to go to Atlantica it froze! My PS2 is still in good condtion even after nearly 6 years of using it & it was in good condtion when I let them borrow it ... It's only Atlantica too.... So should I make them pay for a new copy of the game? Or chew their butt out? Sorry if this thread has already been made & thanks for reading my little rant.

well, sometimes perfectly good games freeze every once in a while. My jak3 game froze a few times when I first got it, but hasn't in several years.
My advice is see if the bottom is dirty and clean it.

Yeah I would check the bottom, if its dirty just clean it and try again but if its majorly scratched then make them pay for it

First of all, you shouldn't have gave it, second of all, kick their sorry behinds! I almost killed a kid for going to my purse, getting out my ds, and gba, and started trading my pokemon! Still the joke was on him, cause when I pulled the cable, his Venasaur was in my game! twisted twisted , Still I had a change of heart, and gave it to him, although the boy has to give me Turtwig, when he gets Diamond, and if he doesn't, well, let's say I'll have 2 Diamond versions. twisted twisted 3nodding That's hopw I negotiate.

I say you should at least chew them out anyway. I rarely let people borrow stuff for that very reason. At my boyfriend's house, I'm always getting on his sisters' cases because they leave my disks laying around the floor to get scratched up because they're so used to doing it with their game disks (which are horribly scratched). You let them borrow it. That doesn't mean play the game and get it scratched to hell. You're supposed to take care of things that people lend to you. confused

daft alchemist You let them borrow it. That doesn't mean play the game and get it scratched to hell. You're supposed to take care of things that people lend to you. confused Oh, hell yes. I always take far better care of other people's stuff than my own. If I break my own stuff, oh, well. I'll go without for a while. If I break someone else's... *Yeesh* I often could not pay for a replacement, even if it's only 20 or 30 bucks. Long story short, if you gave it to them in good condition, and it came back with major scratching, they can pay for the repair/replacement.

chew them out.. but you can't make them pay if most of the game is working... sometimes, its not the person who scratches it.. my friends PS2 started to scratch her games because it broke and she didn't know since it would still (originally) play the games.. they might not have even known..

Make them pay for the cost of repairing it. They should not have let it sustain so much damage in their care.

Check the Disc. Is there a scratch? You have two options:
1. If there is; You walk up to whoever and say, in a sickly sweet voice of course, "Dear? Did you know that there was not a scratch on my game and now that I got it back from you, THERE IS?" Unless they're are dead to the world, they'll get your implication.
2. If there is not; You walk up to whoever and say, "Atlantica didn't freeze when before I let you borrow this. Did you do something?" If they don't fess up, give them a stare, not just any stare; stay as long as you can without blinking and/or blink really slowly. Don't put any emotion into your face, but they will be able to see that your expression clearly says, "There. Will. Be. Hell. To. Pay."
Intimidation without words is really affective, I've learned. Remember it. wink

Speaking from a male point of view, if your friend is a man, you just need to make it seem like you're really pissed off. There's nothing that can cast more fear in a male heart than a girl's rage, trust me.
