Because this place needs more topics. And yay for an attempt at a discussion. xD;
Sooo, how did you first come across the pairing? And any specific reason why you like it so much?
For me I kind of accidently came across it. I'd watch the show once or twice because my friend was kind of obsessed with it, then I saw a pricing help thread by BDA in the assitance forum that had a link to their dA. Looked at a few of the drawings, and was suddenly hooked. XDD I think I ended up with at least a hundred files saved onto my computer within the first day. -giggle- And obsessed ever since.

When I watched IZ it was when I was 10, which was in grade 5, I was not really into ZADR at the time but I was close, I was just some of those retarded kids who loved IZ and stuff, til I actually got into the pairing after a couple of episodes. XD I find it silly. Then yeah I was into ZADR but in grade 6 I totally forgot about IZ, but when I was in grade 8 (Now I'm grade 9)I got back into the pairing when I found deviantart, and found the club. XD!! And I'm way more into the pairing now, I'm amazin X)...

When it first came out, I watched Invader Zim and really liked it, but once it was cancelled I kinda forgot about it. Until, that is about a year ago, my friend had another friend who was OMG WOAH obsessed with Invader Zim, and she watched all the episodes and started ranting to me about it, so eventually I was able to watch it again. XD I toyed with the idea a little bit but didn't really like it at all until I saw some stuff on DA. So yep.

Ummm... I dunno really.
I'm the type of person who can find Gay couples in everything. Invader Zim was just another cartoon that I liked.... the fact that those two just ACT like they like each other (whether romantically or not) and don't want to admit it just sort of made it even more obvious.

Duuude. Awesome question. xd I'm always curious how people start liking certain pairings. 8D
Well, I was 14 when Invader Zim first aired. I fell in love with it instantly. xd I was hooked from the first episode, and it took me...three episodes, at most, to think of Zim and Dib being an awesome couple. (My slash skills weren't as finely honed at that age as they are now. 8D ) With all the fanfiction possibilities, it quickly became one of my fav pairings. (Side Note: None of my old fanfictions can be found on the interwebs anymore. 8D They sucked a**, thus I killed them. XD )
Then, in '04 I lost my "obsession" status for it. Never forgotten, but not quite at the forefront of my mind. It was my longest running obsession to date. Like all things I obsess over, though, I returned to it like a love sick puppy. whee I relapsed into the old habit and started drawing and writing it again sometime last fall. blaugh

Well, I've always had a preference for so-called "Romeo and Julliet" pairings. You know "forbidden relationships"
I used to read Harry Potter HermioneXDraco fanfics. Then I came across yaoi and slowly started prefering yaoi/slash fanfics.
Not so long ago I started watching Invader Zim on youtube, since I live in Holland and here's no such thing as IZ, the horror! O.o
From here I found ZaDr and immediately fell in love with it, different from my yaoi obsession, that took a while to come thru...
Well, I love ZaDr and that won't change for a long time! smile

Well, I already loved slash, and ever since I had first seen the show as a kid, I felt extreme pity for both Zim and Dib. They're so similar, and yet they're both shunned and hated, and yet instead of coming together they fought. Then one night I had a dream where I was Dib and Zim destroyed earth and took me away with him. Everything was in realistic style though, and I remember Zim was INSANELY femme. The next day I was all over the internet looking for Zim and Dib slash, and that's when I found the DA club. x3

It was when I very first got the internet. It was around the time I found Invader Zim in highschool...I think...I don't remember that well. But what I do remember is finding the pairing very interesting, and by that time I made friends with a chat group called the Zimmy Chatty Thingie on AIM. People on that involved Crimson Obsession/Obsessor, Muoko, Idgiebay, Ereptor, Cammiluna and CGAussie. THey rocked man, and I was pointed in the direction of some naughty fics on FF.net (lollers this was LOOOOOOOOOONG ago XD). Yea, I tend to plunge into pr0n headfirst. XD;; Well, I kept at it ever since...I think this was at least five-six years ago...but I don't know for sure. ^_^;

I don't really know xD I guess I first came across the pairing when just looking up Invader zim on DA (though at the time I hadn't actually seen any IZ episodes ever, until around christmas when I got this boxed set of awesome-ness xP) , then this slashy pic came up and the rest of that day I spent looking up ZADR <3 t'was magical xP Now my friends think I'm even more crazy D: but its fun to annoy them with my endless talk of ZADR razz

Well I used to watch IZ years ago,but it got canceled or something.I forgot about it for a few years....but last year I was surfing the Youtube web and found IZ episodes.I rewatched it and....BAM!! ZaDr people!! XD I especially liked the Mortos Der Soulstealer ep.Lols!! So cute. heart heart

Hmm... why ZADR? Well, I'll admit I started watching "Invader Zim" because of my friend TheDarkLordKeisha. Keisha drew some Danny/Vlad art, which is how I found her, and we became friends. I knew she was really into IZ and that she liked ZADR- she got me curious, so I watched. Because of her, I was probably *looking* for a ZADR vibe, but I'm pretty sure I would have found it anyway!
It's rival slash, which I love and write for almost all of my fandoms anyway! But I really like the symmetry of the pairing. One line from the show that really sticks out for me is from "A Room with a Moose," where Zim tells Dib, "I know you're the only one who can appreciate this..." Zim may hate humans. He may think they're inferior beings- but I think Zim really places Dib in a category apart from the rest of his species. You don't have to get Zim to overcome his loathing for Earth and humanity in general (which is actually a very impersonal loathing if you think about it- he wouldn't care at all about the planet either way if he didn't think the Tallest wanted it) to pair him up with Dib. In some episodes, Zim is just *obsessed* with Dib- and vice versa as well, although I think Zim has the greater obsession. Ah, I realize I'm rambling and not really making a point... I just love the potential interaction between these two and I think they fit well together in a very twisted way.
