Keirro

PostPosted: Mon Apr 16, 2007 8:47 pm

Keirro sat at her desk with a notebook in her lap as the mist swirled in front of her. She had simply taken down notes as she watched its behavior, movements, and the images that flickered with the mist. ocasionally, it would whisper or sing the same tune, but for the most part it remained quiet.
It responded to Keirro's movement. It would constantly follow her like a little child. It wouldn't get too close. When Keirro moved towards the mist, it drifted away from her. She had been experimenting with different stimuli, with varying results. It was an unusual object, and she had plans for it.

Lavi knocked hesitantly on the door, not entirely sure if the address she had was right. The ad had been placed in a local paper but every copy she could find still had the same fault, the address was smeared into an almost unintelligible glob of ink. Ayame, who had been learning basic math and other school work, had taken one look at the mess and clumsily wrote out the address with a grin. It was better then trying to figure it out for herself, sheh ad decided, and now she was at the door with Ayame right behind her. She knocked again and then took a step back to wait.

Ayame wasn't entirely thrilled with the prospect of coming out to the place, and she didn't understand why they had gone in the first place. It was bitter cold outside and it made her wings ache, no jacket they had been able to find fit properly either...grouchy and upset by the whole thing she reached up and tugged on lavi's skirt. "up?" at least if lavi would hold her she wouldn't be so cold. Her spirits rose as Lavi smiled and picked her up, holding her against her and wrapping her in Lavi's coat. So much better....

Keirro

Keirro sprang into action when she heard the knock. She shooed the mist into hiding behind the couch and picked up a few trivial messes before answering the door. The mist flicked an image of animal eyes as it creeped out from the corner of the sofa.
"Just stay out of sight! I don't need my guests thinking they are schizophrenic!" Keirro hissed through her teeth. The mist completely hid itself away behind the sofa. Keirro straightened her shirt and reapplied her lipgloss before finally answering the door. It was a woman holding a toddler.
"Oh, hello. My Name is Keirro Fisher, Ph.D. Please, come inside and I'll get some tea ready." The corners of her mouth turned only slightly upward in an attempt to seem more friendly. Gary had often nagged her about being more friendly towards her patients. She was pretty sure these two were patients. No one ever really came to visit Keirro unless she knew them or they needed the help of a good doctor.

Lavi nodded and stepped inside, enjoying the warmth of the room on her face, at least warm compared to the outside. "Is it alright if i sit down? i have a few things to discuss about why i came to you." She barely inclined her head down towards Ayame, whose head stuck out of the coat.

Ayame glanced about, eyes taking in everything yet remaining quiet as she observed Keirro and the new surroundings. what an interesting place...Lavi didn't have quite a bit of what she saw here...for now though she felt she would stay content wrapped in Lavi's coat. She loved the proximity to her guardian, it wasn't nearly as good as being with Tangia but it was good enough.

What was that? something was here...another like her, an illusionary....but where?

"Yes, please sit down. We'll start by talking about some of your concerns. " Keirro motioned for Lavi to sit. She then took her seat behind her desk, while keeping an eye out for the reverie she shooed into hiding. She silently debated about the risk of letting it come into the open. How would interactions from strangers affect its behavior? It had shown no sign of dangerous behavior or emotions.
The Reverie dashed from behind the couch in the form of a silver line. It hid itself behind a decorative plant. It's movent was much to fast for Keirro's eyes, but there was a slight possibility that it would be seen by the strangers that had entered into the living room.

She took a seat and sighed. "It's Ayame...ever since she found her twin sister again...she's....changed. she get's worried really easily and upset, and she has outbursts rather often...she gets angry, yells at the object or person that's gotten to her and she's even gone so far as to try and pick fights...it worries me, she seemed sweet before, calm and collected..."

She shook her head as her mind began to jumble details, not wanting to misinform the woman. she glanced down at ayame and smiled then ruffled the girls hair.

Ayame's attention was fully on keirro, just a plain stare, the barest of smiles on her lips. Whatever it was she had sensed she couldn't find, so she would content herself with staying with Lavi for the moment.

Keirro smiled at Ayame. Her smile was hiding her expression from showing her nervousness at being in the presence of the reverie's first interaction with strangers. So far, things were doing good.
"Children often have a very difficult time expressing themselves. New events can make them feel frustrated and confused, so they may lash out in unexpected bahavior. I have some crayons, Miss Ayame. Would you like to color some pictures?" asked Keirro as she brought out a box of colorful crayons and some paper.
The Reverie watched the child from behind the plant, but showed little sign of venturing out to meet the child and guardian. It seemed to take a form similar to a crouching animal and remained silent.

Lavi could only shake her head, unsure if this was the answer she had expected. "But would it be this drastic?"

the little butterfly girl grinned fully as she was presented with an opportunity to work on her drawing and pushed lavi's coat aside to eagerly grasp at the crayons, her only thanks to the woman the look in her eyes.

[sorry weak post, EM has my mind all crazy, i'm trying to reserve my current thoughts to respond to her, i owe you a better post next time around!]

Keirro

Keirro gave a reassuring smile. This was a pretty common reaction for children, so she did not seem to worry too much at the moment.
"Miss Ayame, how about you draw us a picture of how you are feeling?" she said, diverting her attention from the Reverie and Lavi for a moment. She then looked back at Lavi. She placed her hands calmly on her desk.
"How was she before she found out about her twin? Can you think of anything that made her upset?" Keirro asked calmly.
The Reverie observed the scene and took on the appearence of a curled up animal. It didn't really seem too worried anymore, now that it was obvious that no harm would come to it.

Lavi took a deep breath. "She was very calm, gentle and very sensitive about being polite and kind and nothing seemed to bother her...." She turned her head down in thought before responding again, "I can't think of anything that could have bothered her so, she hasn't complained of anything..." She drifted back into thought and looked down at her little one with concern.

Draw...feelings....Ayame began to doodle on the paper, spreading it out as she went until she had a myriad of images fading into one another. There were three sets of images, and although her talent was improving not everything weas clear. The top two were Lavi and Keirro, their most forward thoughts and concerns drawn on the paper. The bottom however showed a black spiral and several animalistic representations along the outer rim.

Ayame stared at her results for a minute and then reached down to the paper at one of the little animals to pull it right off the paper, allowing it to take a 3 dimensional form. the being slowly lost it's drawn look and became the miniaturized version of what it was, a little goat, which soon ran under Ayame's dress and back towards the potted plant where the reverie hid. Ayame let out a yell and ignoring the adults raced after it, surprised and frustrated by the change of events.

"My best suggestion is to teach Ayame healthy methods of expression. Art is an excellent method for a child to express themself. Children are also capable of learning sign language to make expressing emotions much easier." Keirro replied to Lavi. Her eyes drifted, out of curiousity, towards Ayame and her picture. Keirro's furrowed her eyebrows as she watched Ayame's representation of current events happening in the very room she was sitting in. Keirro was about to inquire the meaning of the images she observed when a goat springed into life and praced off the paper.
Keirro leaped out of her seat and backed against the wall. What was this mess? How was the child able to do this? Ayame was obviously upset by the event, but Keirro caught sight of something else before she could offer comfort.
The goat darted towards the Reverie. The mist lunged out of its hiding spot and ran towards the goat and tried to attack the miniature animal.

Lavi jumped on top of the chair she was in out of surprise as the creature came into being, looking at keirro with wide eyes as if to ask what was going on, since she knew she couldn't explain it herself. and then a form rather familiar appeared from the direction both ayame and the...goat...were heading, a reverie, like Ayame and Mereneth had been some time back. She stared open mouthed at the situation as it unfolded, the only words she could manage was a strained whisper, "She already draws alot...."

Ayame tripped promptly on her own foot and with a whimper watched the goat stare defiantly at the reverie, holding it's ground despite the circumstances, keeping itself paced between the reverie and Ayame, though as for what it could manage, the reveries assault would likely finish it off. It managed a small bleating sound before the reverie reached it, and then...

Keirro

The reverie closed in on the goat, for the first time, it took the clear definate form of a wild animal; It came complete with definate canine teeth. It was like watching a nature documentary. Keirro could even hear in her mind a french naturalist's commentary.
In ze wild regions of ze living room, we now witness nature as zit takes zits course. We can only watch in awe as her raw, unweilding furee clashes with ze liddle goat.
Keirro had to think quick. Her cover was officially blown. Apart from that, she had to explain to a guardian how her child was able to pull a goat out of a drawing.
The Reverie pounced on the goat, but then, unexpectedly, found itself unable to actually harm the goat. The reverie passed through the goat as if it was mist. The feral creature stopped itself in mid run and turned around to reface the goat. It opened its mouth to snarl, but no sound came out. It stood its ground and prepared to charge at Ayame's creation again.
"NO! DOWN!" snapped Keirro. She grabbed a water spraybottle and started to squirt the reverie. The reverie snapped its attention to Keirro, obviously confused, and then darted behind a couch the same way a frightened cat would.
Keirro gave a stressed sigh. she then calmly sat back down in her chair and recomposed herself.
"Please excuse that, I agreed to experiment with a prototype holographic animal. Don't worry, it is not real. It is simply an Illusion." Keirro said, lying through her teeth. She had to appear calm, and address the real situation at hand. Ayame had just performed something spectacular.

Lavi stared as the scene unfolded. She found herself holding her breath as the thing clashed with the minitaurized goat...and passed through it and past. One event lead to another until finally Keirro's words snapped her mind back to the present.

[Keirro]: "Please excuse that, I agreed to experiment...

Had that been a reverie, like she had thought though? she shook her head and dismissed it, the last few baffling moments leaving her unwilling to try and ponder it out.

"Yes...but...goat...Ayame..." Lavi managed to sputter out a few words and look more lost then before she'd managed them. What was going on?

Ayame lay still, upset that whatever it was she'd done was about to get squished by the reverie....and then nothing happened to it...had she been able to make any physical actions when she was a reverie? she couldn't remember...

As Keirro shoo'd off the reverie she watched it go with both reluctance and thanks and pushed herself up. Carefully she straightened her dress and brushed off the non existant dirty spots before running forward to scoop up her creation. satisfied, she cuddled it to her chest and soon lost interest in favor of the reverie, if she could find it...where had it gone...

"It would be an understatement to say that Ayame is a special child. It can be usually difficult to deal with such children, but it is not impossible. "Keirro pressed her fingertips together and studied the child for a moment before shifting in her seat.
"Ayame, how do you feel right now?" asked Keirro, trying to sound as pleasent as she could. The last thing she needed was for this girl to draw a T-rex into the room.
The reverie kept its eyes on the child. Ayame's wings were very pretty and reminded the reverie of something tasty. Bugs were tasty. Bugs were also colorful like this child. The reverie made the conclusion that this child was probably edible.
It began to stalk the girl, like a lion in a savannah. It creeped closer and closer towards the girl.
It had quickly dismissed the bad encounter with the goat and figured that this hunting would be sucessful.
