I'm sorry to say this is very closely related to the other two (or more that I didn't even see) threads about Japanese bands.
But I didn't think I would enjoy sifting through all the band snames mentioned to find ones I would like because it would take a very long time.
So I'm going to be naughty and make my own thread asking what sort of Japanese bands I may like, by using bands I already like.
They are x.Marilyn Manson x.Rammstein x.Slayer x.Garbage x.A bit of Mindless Self Indulgence x.Grand Buffet x.Doctor Steel x.Johnny Cash x.Alice in Chains x.Deathstars x.Nine Inch Nails x.Wumpscut x.The Kovenant x.Nightwish x.Lacuna Coil x.Red Hot Chili Peppers
There's a bit of it. If you don't know some of these bands, my interest genres are Metal, Industrial, Technoish stuff, some Country--though I'm sure the Japanese won't be singing Sweet Home Alabama, Rock, and Space Metal. (Space Metal is like taking the techno, industrial and metal and mixing them together.)

Also, if you have no trouble with not being able to read the articles and have a kana chart available to use, Cure magazine covers a lot of good bands. Shoxx is another good one to buy. You can get them at Hot Topic or on jlist.com/jbox.com
