OMG My dollie...I just go her yesterday and on her abdomen where the joint is, on the top peice, the chest peice I guess, its chipped a in a tiny spot, I don't know how it got there and I don't know if it was there yesterday! It's not big or really bady its just a tiny spot but still...I've only had her for about 22 hours!
Also there is a small gap between her headcap and her head on one side! It doesn't mess up the wig or anything but it bothers me. She's my first and I'm afraid she's going to get messed up. My mom would kill me.
And I think one of her legs is tighter than the other if thats possible. When I got her one ankle joint wasn't in completely and when she sits down on knee bends farther than the other....
HALP Please..

Dont worry, what you have there isnt unusual at all. Lots of dolls get chipped in transit. You can take a very fine pieces of sand paper and sand it smooth again(do not breath the dust in though!) One leg being tighter than the other isnt odd either. In all likelihood, the knot in her stringing is just stuck somewhere(usually the body string knot gets caught in the arm string) It can be fixed by restrining. Also, another problem could be with the way her legs were sculpted,One joint may be slightly deeper than the other knee joint or shaped slightly differently.Sculptors cant make them perfectly even though they try. Her head cap may have warped slightly in shipping due to heat or extreme temperature changes. My Juri06 has a warped headcap because of that. I just use a medical cloth tape to tape it in place in the back to assue that it does work itself free. What doll is she just out of curiousity?

Sounds to me that its just a slight difference with the way her knees are shaped. If you fix the stringing issue, that also may fix the way her knees are fitting into the joints.

Hm...I don't know if one joint is bigger but I think on of her thighs is bigger than the other o.O
I don't think I could restring her...I'd be scared...and probably not strong enough...

Pelucheux Hm...I don't know if one joint is bigger but I think on of her thighs is bigger than the other o.O I don't think I could restring her...I'd be scared...and probably not strong enough... Get someone stronger to help you? I'd say it's best to have someone else around anyway, just in case it's trying to slip and you need 'em to grab it. I'm fairly weak and I was able to restring my mini and string my sd if that makes you feel better about it? (^^/
My boy's headcap has a bit of a gap too, but since it doesn't affect how it fits on and isn't seen, I don't worry about it. It bothers me too, so I try not to think about it and keep a wig on 'im all the time. XD

restringing isnt really all that hard actually.I was scared to do it too when I got my first doll.I dont think I even attempted restringing till my fourth and it was necessary in her case. They send the delfs so loose now that they can barely SIT straight out of the box much less stand. You will definately need someone to help you though,.There are plenty of tutorials out there to help you get the job done.Have you looked inside her to see whether or not its her body string knot stuck in the arm stringing or not?It should be easy to spot if thats the case and then you can just pull the string in her arm(or body) till its no longer interfering with the knot.

Can I post in here?
Edit: I suppose I can. I'm joining the guild anyway, but I don't think I've been approved yet XD Anywho, my friend has a Delf Miyu, who flops over when she's sitting, and one of her legs doesn't go straight; it bends up whenever she stands. Is this just a personality problem, or do you think she needs restringing?

All CP dolls have snappy legs like that and it's easily fixable with sueding whether it be with glue or pliver. She also sounds like she's loosely strung as well.Restringing wont help the snappy legs(likely will make them even snappier) but she will be able to sit properly.I glue-sueded my Lishe because she snapped like that and while she still snaps a little bit,its not nearly as bad as it was before.
