The other tribe members were attending to their duties, which meant that Sigal was being watched, and that Ari had some time to himself for the moment. His daughter was nearly grown up now, and he hoped that she would decide to join the tribe once she was an adult. But he doubted she would. She seemed determined to keep a 'normal' sleep schedule, staying awake during the day, and sleeping through the night.
Ari glanced upwards at the moon, and sighed. It didn't seem right, that his own daughter didn't feel the call that he did. But it wasn't his place to question things such as these. He just had to accept them. He wasn't all that happy about it, though.

Kazuki was walking by when he heard the soft sigh. His ears lean towards the sound. He turned to see Ari gazing at the moon. He was admiring his mate slightly. His mate was always the strong outspoken one. While was always the one behind. As a kit he was intelligent yes but he didn't have the strength Ari did. Shakign his head of such thoughts he quietly walked over.
"A-Ari? Everything alright?" He didn't know if he could butt in, in a sense. YEt he hoped he could he worried about the other dearly.

Ari didn't realize Kazuki was even there, until the other had spoken. Thank the moon that the tribe lands were safe, and that he didn't have to worry about some predator sneaking up on him.
"No. I was thinking. About Sigal...She doesn't seem to feel the call the rest of the tribe does." He wasn't going to lie to his mate. It wouldn't do him any good to hide these things. Kazuki would probably figure them out on his own, anyway.

"Er...Ari it was rather obvious...Since she would sleep when we did not...I am sorry.." Kazuki carefully leaned over and nuzzled his mate. It was tough to be forced into a matting and then have childern that have nothing with you. His sister Tanith was prove of that. She hoped she was ok in her tribe.

"Yes...I had hoped that our ways would grow on her..." But they hadn't, obviously. And it seemed like it would just be a matter of time before she decided to leave the tribe. Perhaps to go join another. Or perhaps to become an independent fox, like his sister, Rina.
"Maybe...when she leaves...she'll go to the Lazuli tribe. That seems to be a good place." It was obvious how much thinking about his daughter leaving pained Ari. But the Lunarie and Lazuli tribes were allies, and he already had another loved one there, his friend Toki. If he had any say in how things went, that was where he wanted Sigal to be.

"Ah I se..." Kazuki frown he hated seeing Ari look so sad. Especially since Ari ws always the stronger of them. It odd to Kazuki to seem him like that. Kazuki began to nuzzle Ari's neck softly.
"Please don't be sad..Its not like you..." He didn't want Ari to be sad. He wished there was something he could do but he couldnt. Sigal was nearly an adult and could what she wanted to do. They had no control over what she did.

Ari smiled, feeling Kazuki nuzzling him. Knowing Kazuki was there...That helped.
"Thank you. I suppose it's not doing me any good, worrying about something I can't control. As long as she doesn't join the Kana tribe..." Ari laughed at that mental image, of friendly Sigal trying to join that tribe of bad natured modifoxes.
"I'll just have to trust that thing will work out for the best."

"They will I am sure of it.." Kazuki smiled restign his head against Ari. He sighed breathing in his mates scent. It was just so comforting to know he was there. His scent was sweet like flower or the night air. He closed his eyes and just enjoyed the moment hoping it never ended.

"Indeed. It's not doing me any good to worry about a future I can't control." Ari curled up around Kazuki, smiling at his mate. There were far better things to do with the present than worry about the future, after all...

Kazuki blushed harder as Ari curled around him. He felt like the female in regular relationships. Though he didnt mind as much. He kind of just rested against Ari though he became very quiet and was studdering a bit.
Y-Yup..." He smile dbut he couldnt help feel so embarassed and shy.

Ari smiled seeing Kazuki blushing and stammering. It was kind of...cute, he supposed, was the best word.
"Enough of my problems, though. How are you doing?" Even though they saw each other on a nightly basis, they didn't really see each other. Ari had been keeping his worry about Sigal's future from the tribe members, and it was fully possible that Kazuki had been hiding problems of his own, too.

Kazuki blinked and thought for a moment. He shook his head.
"No problems to report really. " It was then that something came to mind. If they were to...mate...His cheeks became bright red. Who would carry the kits? There was no female. Then again did Ari even want kits. He was worried now.

Ari was curious, now. Exactly what had Kazuki thought of that so embarrassed the other elder? Most likely something about their relationship, but what, exactly?

Kazuki jumped back and blushed harder. He was studderign so bad you would think he had a problem to speak. Finally he stoped took a deep breath. He wanted to know though he was scared what would happen.
"Umm..Well...you see...Ari...wouldyouliketohavekits!?" He spoke the last part so quickly he felt dizzy. He blushed harder as his eyes were glued to his paws.

Ari sat there for a few moments, trying to puzzle out what his mate had just said. The last part, which he suspected was supposed to be a full sentence, had gotten mashed into a single word. He thought that he could get the word 'kits' out of it, though. What about kits? He wasn't sure. Was Kazuki asking him if he wanted kits? Yes, that sounded about right...
He already had Sigal to care for. And she had no desire to join the tribe. But Sigal took after her mother. Would the kits he and Kazuki created be more likely to stay? Or would he have to watch them drift away, too?
After all, Twilight was supposed to take after him, and yet he had heard no sign of her wanting to join the tribe.
"Yes...and no. If I could guarantee that these kits would stay, that they wouldn't put me through all...this again, I would love to have them. But then, what if they don't feel the call of the Moon Fox, either? I don't wish to watch more children of mine drifting away from the tribe..."
The problem with life, Ari thought, was that it came with absolutely no guarantees.
