Suikoden 2 tip: May not be a much but this tip is very nice for extreme damage. Have you're character (preferrably one who is a Short ranged fighter, who has two rune slots) and give them both Killer, and Violence as the Hand runes. Then try and find the only exertion rune in the game (in the town next to Tinto, NOT Tinto itself) and equip that on them. Now equip the person with armor and accesories that bring up the person power. Sharpen the weapon the highest you can at the moment (if lvl 16 that even better). Now during a boss battle, once your character goes beserk (Violence rune activated) and exertion has done its power increase, the next attack should take out 4000+ hp. If you get a critical (killer rune activated) you take out 6000-8000+ HP! I've done this countless times with Hix (since I don't have to look for the exertion). Killer results if you ask me

Suikoden 1: Fortune or prosperity rune
In the beginning of the game, when Teo takes you home and before Ted joins your entourage, you have the chance to get a Fortune rune. When you only have Tir in your party, leave Gregminster. To get the rune, you must get to the town of Sarady (the town after Mount Tigerwolf), WITH ONLY TIR. Alternatively, you can get a prosperity rune if you go with only Ted and Tir. To figure out which one you want, a fortune rune gives double the experience and a Prosperity rune gives double the money. To get the runes, its reccomended you go to Rockland and win lots of money off of Marco. Then, upgrade your armor at Rockland. Win more money, then travel to Lenankamp (only fighting BonBons, fleeing from all else.) Sharpen your weapons and upgrade your armor (if you can), then wander around the wilderness until you think you're a good enough level, then head to Mount Tigerwolf! Once you reach Sarady, go to the house in the upper right corner. Talk to the guy there, and you got your rune!

Suikoden III: The Final Boss
The final boss in this game is very tricky. I reccomend having your party at at least level 60. The party members should be as follows for all three characters:
Hugo Emily --------- Bright Futch --------- Nicolas Aila
Now the boss is surrounded by the four True Runes. Fire, Water, Earth, and Wind. At the start of battle, you cann only target two runes. Lightning and Fire. I reccomend taking out the lightning Rune, so that you can destroy the water rune. The Water Rune will keep reviving other runes if not destroyed. Don't use any offensive magic. As at the end of almost every turn, the Earth Rune uses an attack than cancels out all status effects on your whole party. So this means using Battle Oath is useless

Don't know if many people know about it, but I know some of my friends never got this...
Suikoden III When playing as Thomas, when you're able to go to Iksay Village, go into the item shop and talk to the child inside with their back to you to get a Pale Gate crystal.

Suikoden 2 : Not much of a tip, but it makes the start of the game go much more easily.
In the very beginning of the game, during the Unicorn Brigade sequence, right before the main character and Joei jump off of the waterfall, Rowd sends a group of troops at you.
The Hero / Joei unite attack will kill almost all of them and the leftovers die pretty quickly ( often missing their attacks and dying in your counter ). After you defeat them Joei says to jump. Say no and Rowd sends another group of troops at you.
Basically you can keep killing them over and over by refusing to jump down the waterfall. You can get up to around level 10 pretty quick there, higher if you have the patience though it starts to get pretty amazingly slow. The cash and gear they drop ( they drop medicine, leggings, mega medicine, and rarely capes ) will also take care of some of your early game money woes.
I usually end up doing this not as much for the exp as for the loot to sell to get cash. In Kyaro city ( main characters hometown ) you can, as a rare find, get Winged Boots for 10200. I try to get enough cash to get a pair there early in the game since I don't think you can get another pair until Greenhill Forest.

Not sure if I already said this but if you beat those Highland Soldiers at that point 108 times, you get to see the opening credits in colour.

Selpheeii I'm stuck with getting Vicki.. young and older.. in Suikoden III.. I have no idea where to find her! ^^;; You can't get her until you're in chapter four and have picked your FC - she's in the mountain path, the western end (the one that connects to Karaya + Amun Plains). EDIT: That's how to get older Vicki - she just falls out of the sky in that first clearing w/ the save point. If she's not there, try advancing the story - may be a trigger you need. To get young Viki, put older Viki in your party and go there AGAIN. Also, don't bother leveling up their Pale Gate Magic - they only go up to B+. Estella can level hers up to A+, as can Connie, one of the four recruitable non-star doggies.

I got Landis once before but I can't get him again. Do you have to get him in Chap 4 or can you get him before and after then too?
