I know that there may be another thread on this, but I can't find it. So here it goes. Has anybody noticed that no-one in the Avatar world is Blonde! I was like omg when I realised the other day. Yue doesn't count as her hair would be black but the moon spirit made it white. Hmmmmm, it could be like that to make it more asian themed. I don't know, but please add your opinions. 4laugh

One of my characters is blond, and if he shows his hair in that world, the girls mob him. (Too bad he's gay...)
But that's beside the point. I truly have no idea.

That doesnt make it more asian themed. If they really wanted it asian themed there would be ganguro girls. Picture katara with blonde hair and that dark tan.

It's based more on the Southeastern Asian (Oriental) culture. I haven't seen anything relating to Arabic, Russian, or Persian cultures. Blonde hair is more Scandinavian/Germanic heritage.

Exactly.
If you pay attention to each of the cultures in the show, and compair them to the cultures in our world, you would easily find out that those cultures do not have blondes in them.

They travelled from North to South pole and around the world and nations and still no blondies. There has to be that 1 Asian person who's different.
